Slam the Gavel welcomes Crystal and her friend Zachary on the show with heated discussion on the travesty of the Foster Care System. Zachary (name has been changed) discusses his experience with CPS, Foster Care and as well as being, "thrown away," and how this has impacted his life. Crystal tells us that there are parents that throw their own children out into the streets as a form of "tough love," as their children find places to sleep behind grocery stores and trying to live off the streets.
Crystal strongly advises to parents not to open the door to CPS and also to record their conversations She also explains how these agencies are Government Funded and paid for by the government. From CPS to Foster Care for profit, these children, some have been taken from fit, loving homes. Their lives forever disrupted and destroyed along with parents longing and searching for their children while missing milestones in their children's lives.
The discussion of Guardianships came up as well and how the government interferes in the disabled and elderly's lives as we talked about the Netflix movie, "I Care A lot."
Crystal discussed the Family Court system and how unfair it is and how parents find themselves in situations dealing with CPS and then the Family Court system.
