Slam the Gavel was honored to have Mr. Andrew Folkler on the show. He is a Professional Writer who specializes in Trauma, Personal Development and Parental Alienation. Andrew Folkler is also an Associate Producer of the documentary Erasing Family and the Co-Host of The Broken Families Podcast.
Andrew is an active speaker in the Parental Alienation Field, using his own experience of Estrangement from his Mother to help and guide parents and children who endure this egregious form of abuse.
Primary expertise lies in Parental Alienation as he has dealt with both estrangement from his Mother and brother via an Alienating Step-Mother. Andrew has been on both sides of the Alienation spectrum and has noted what works and what doesn't work. Andrew discusses the four tactics that Alienating Parents use to build estrangement and common mistakes estranged parents make when reconnecting. Also discussed was the Psychological concepts that empower the self and build trust with your Alienated Child, how to build connection with your child when they are apathetic or aggressive to you. Finally we discussed how Alienation can impact a child in their relationships within the realm of Family, friends and intimate partners.
