Radical Futures: Ndiilokelwa Nthengwe on Justice, Identity & Change in Namibia
Use Left/Right to seek, Home/End to jump to start or end. Hold shift to jump forward or backward.
In this episode, I travel to Namibia to speak with Ndiilokelwa Nthengwe, a fearless activist, author and tech entrepreneur. Ndiilokelwa’s work spans LGBTQ+ rights, reproductive justice, youth leadership, and social advocacy, and they have been a prominent voice in shaping conversations around identity, justice, and empowerment across Africa.
We dive into their journey, from growing up in Namibia and studying entrepreneurship at AFDA in Cape Town, to leading campaigns like #LegalizeAbortionNA, writing The Chronicles of a Non-Binary Black Lesbian Namibian, You Fcked With the Wrong Generation, and Autono Me – A New Era of Work, and now stepping into the world of filmmaking as Executive Producer of Wrong Generation.
In this conversation, Ndiilokelwa shares reflections on activism, intersectionality, creative expression, and what it means to imagine radical futures for African communities. We discuss the realities of sexual and reproductive health in Namibia, the power of youth-led movements, and the role of storytelling in driving social change.
This episode is a deep, honest, and inspiring look at what it means to live boldly, speak freely, and work tirelessly for justice.
