This week on Women STaRs, we are speaking with Kirsten Parker. Graduating from Yale with a Master’s degree in theater stage management, Kirsten worked in her field in LA for over a decade.
Despite being “dialed in” to that lifestyle and career, Kirsten found herself wanting more. She shares what transformed her life, gave her purpose, and freed her to pursue her dreams. Kirsten shares how connecting with her emotions gives her an inner strength and power that she didn’t always have.
Join us as she shares her tips for immediately calming anxiety and stress (it only takes 30 seconds), realizing that there is no “wrong” decision, the power of habits (and changing them), and focusing on the things you can control (hint: it’s a lot more than you think!).
Thank you to our sponsor, On Technology Partners for their support, guidance, and ongoing encouragement.
“Because I was making my happiness so conditional on making the right choice, and believing that if I made the wrong choice, everything was going to catch on fire… it just kept me stuck for so long.”
“We have so much more power than we give ourselves credit for… embracing that responsibility, you get all of the power back that you've been giving away…”
“We’ve got to be able to walk away from the things that are not aligned for us so that we can focus on what we want to walk towards.”
“There is no wrong decision. 85% of my anxiety in my past was because I was having decision drama.”
