I am so excited because the Olympics start later this week and the Summer Olympics are my personal favorite because I was obsessed with gymnastics as a little kid. I used to get up and practice gymnastics for an hour or so before I even went to school every day. And while I certainly was nothing like the Olympians who are doing it now, it was certainly something I had a huge passion for. But it also ties in well with this week's episode because I speak with Viktor Rajek today and he's an entrepreneur, a former professional athlete and an Olympian from the 2006 games, where he competed in bobsledding. Viktor's dealt with a myriad of health issues over time, but the biggest ones were eczema and shingles rashes on large swaths of his body, including his face, chest and arms. And in this episode, we dive deep into his health journey where he started juicing and eating more of a vegetarian diet. Viktor Rajek:Thank you, Kerstin, for having me. And thank you for allowing me to share my experience.
Kerstin Ramstrom:Well, I'm thrilled to have you here because you did have such a remarkable healing journey. And, you know, we're taping this now in July of 2021. And a lot of your healing journey took place starting in relatively early 2020. And so I think that's sort of an interesting facet to the story, too, when people weren't going out as much, how you were able to do a lot of this at home.
Viktor Rajek:I think it peaked out in 2020, the whole journey started actually, when the sickness started, that's when actually the healing starts, when your sickness is starting to be exaggerated or, or really exponentially growing. And it's when you start learning about yourself and your ways, it all accumulated to one big bulk of information and, and it just exploded as well, you know, the detoxing and everything and got to the finish line as a winner. Not sure... it's not important to come first. It's about to cross the finish line.
Kerstin Ramstrom:Absolutely. So why don't you take us back to the beginning of your health journey and talk to us about what you had been dealing with.
Viktor Rajek:Now when I look back, the whole journey, it's obvious It started when I got born. Even right now when I talked to my mom, so many informations just popped out. Even last week, my mom told me that when she was a younger teenager, she used to work in the newspaper print with a lot of the ink back in the 80s. It's not like it is today, it was filled with heavy metals, and toxic sludge and everything so and she was like face down in the ink. So I was like what?
Kerstin Ramstrom:Wow!
Viktor Rajek:She didn't even tell me this because she told me when she was pregnant, she used to be a cleaning lady. And that's a lot of contact as well with chemicals and stuff. And then when she got me, you know, it all just transferred to my little tiny body. And when I got born and I got born with a lot of skin issues and problems exuma and I was stuck in a bed. So I was not able to itch, the doctors tied me up as a little child. So I was in, in hospitals for around two years, give-or-take maybe a few weeks at home or months but it was two years. So struggle. And then when I grew older, my body kind of grew with it. Also the organs and so I was able to process certain things and foods and that's when I improved a little bit. Also, I did not speak until I was three and a half years old. I just pointed out and I will Just mimicking my voice and suddenly from one day to another, I just walked to my mom and just said the whole sentence. That's, that's how I was. And now I see differently after Medical Medium information, I knew my body was filled with heavy metals pressing on one side of the hemisphere, that was controlling my speech part of the brain. And as I was growing it released, probably some of it, or when my, my liver grew a little bit, it was able to, to kickstart some processes and maybe detox some of it or get it out of the body somehow, or maybe the toxins were moved away from it to other parts of the body. So then somehow I start speaking. And as I was growing up, I had a lot of allergies and skin issues always during allergic seasons, when the nature was blooming or or in springtime, where certain trees or flowers were growing and dust as well and grass. When people were cutting grass in summer, I was always filled nose and stuffy nose and my eyes were running, itching, always rashes and allergic breakouts. I also have had asthma when I was around 13, 14 years old. I also end up in hospital. I went to this after school dance, and it was in an old theater. And when the kids were like running and dancing around a lot of dust was in the air. And I got a allergic reaction. When I returned home I just stopped breathing somehow. And it was like so much. My lungs were itching, like from the inside and I was having the seizure and they took me to hospital and they have to give me some injection to to calm me down and there I was for like two weeks for to being observed.
Kerstin Ramstrom:Wow.
Viktor Rajek:So I had always these issues, allergies and also breakouts around my eyes. Back then they didn't know it was shingles. They call these the Herpes Solaris, that was the Eastern European name for this, because it always happened during summertime, or when the sun was really sharp. Like in April, May. And now I know it's shingles. And it was when the immune system was weak and when I was stressed out, that's when it was popping out. When I was 16 to 27. I did sports professionally. Before that, as a young boy as a sports guy, I played handball and then I switched American football. And when in high school I did bobsled, two and four man sleds. I went to the Olympics in Turin 2006, for Slovakian bobsled team.
Kerstin Ramstrom:That's awesome.
Viktor Rajek:And then I went to college in United States in Akron. I played NCAA Division One for Akron Zips, I played defensive end linebacker in the years 2006-2010. And then I finish high school and when I returned, the real life hit. The struggles, the depression, I would say. At some cases, you know, when you're growing up, you're starting getting more and more responsibilities and, and your life as you would think would not go the way. So you start thinking and start blaming yourself and you start seeing others maybe to succeed and you always compare yourself and you just getting yourself into the spiral. But when I returned, I coached football and I was always in touch with the sport. And afterwards, I started more focusing on my professional career in 2015-16. So that's when I stopped actually doing sports at all. And back then I had also a lot of family struggles and family issues. Work issues, work related. Not working out as much. Our bodies got lazy, weaker, even though I was professional athlete, you can lose it really fast. Also you can gain it really fast, that's the only upside of being professional athlete is that it takes just few months. And so the issue started in 2016 when I had my allergic breakouts, my eczema. So it started.... my breakouts started in my inner elbows, as usual, on my hands and also in my inner knee and my feet. But it was different. Usually it itches. It creates some scar, and then after a while it heals. But this time it wasn't healing. It was purpley, it was reddish, more like like somebody punched me or or I hurt myself somehow, like it was coming from more underneath the skin as on the skin, it was something different. So that's the first time I went to doctors and they prescribed So I knew I have to get into my body a lot of sugars afterwards medications and corticoids, you'll feel happy because they work the first time you take them. Because before that I was not much on medication, you know, I was an athlete, sure when when I was hurt, or I had surgery in my back, my lower back because my disc separated and was creating a pain in my nerve. But otherwise, I always tried to heal myself with as less medication as possible. But I applied the creams, there were just so local corticoid creams, they work a little bit, but I when I read through the books and look in all the details. So started gaining weight, a lot, really quickly. I just had like, two, three days, just little bit of fast food or something more fatty, because normally I don't usually eat like this at all. But let's say in two, three days, I did enjoy myself at some these rashes were popping out everywhere around my whole body vacation, I just gained.... it was six, seven pounds in two, three days just like that. And it was not that easy to get it back. Even though I looked after my my diet. And I avoid fast foods a lot. I do maybe have McDonald's, or some kind of pizza maybe once a month in the past. And so I improved. The itchiness after I had to stop taking or playing the corticoids, they returned back really fast. Everything returned and even multiplied. Because I gained weight, and it got even worse. Yeah, it got to other parts of my body and the glands in the armpits from the lymph. But I didn't know back then it's connected. And it's starting itching around this area, around my chest, neck, my thyroid, and it was itching the most around my thyroid, and then the whole of my neck around and.... it was unbearable. It was just unbearable pain. And then it turned to my whole arms, I had scars all around my arms, I started to bleed a lot because he was itching so bad. I started applying hot water on my skin because from the past when I was younger, when I had some allergy, I applied a little bit hot water on it and the itchiness just went away. But it hurt the skin. But back then my skin could really fastly heal and recover. So it wasn't that bad. But right now, it was even getting worse. So I had this addiction, actually, my body created that when this itchiness was a new, when I applied is scalding hot water. I will get this this inner feeling, like high. It was crazy because the body released this adrenaline into the system. And it was an addiction, even Medical Medium talks about it, that if we do have addictions like even heroin, or any caffeine or alcohol or drugs, or whatever it is, this was addiction as well. apply this as it is a addiction. So when I wa applying Medical Mediu teachings, he's talking about t get the most sugars you can i your body. And even in if th drug addicts are trying to b healed, they eat a lot o chocolates, even don't know th coffee and chocolate not a healthy but it's better tha drugs. and I was bloated from inside. I had pains and burns inside me, my body was like under fire. I went to other doctors, they again apply some corticoids and they're like, Oh, this is just dermatitis, you know, this is different dermatitis Just... what are you wearing? Do wear white shirts? And they were like telling me, Okay, just keep wearing white shirts and not black colored or gray color, whatever. But I was bleeding. So imagine me you know, having white shirts and just bloods spots on my shirt. So it was really tough. And again, gaining weight. After apply the quality coins I improved. But afterwards, you cannot keep using it for more than a month or two weeks. So after you stop again, exponentially I gained weight. Got even worse. My sleep, I was deprived of sleep. I was Insomniac for a while, like a walking zombie in pain, hurting inside was not able to sleep, was not able to get the rest.
Kerstin Ramstrom:And how is this affecting the rest of your life at this point?
Viktor Rajek:It's tough because I had to go to work, to business meetings, and it's tough because you're tired, you're depressed. So if you're dealing with some issues in work, these issues get into me really bad mentally, so I was even more depressed and even more mentally sick or, or feeling sick. But I was fed up with everything. Every time I went home, I couldn't recharge myself, I couldn't regain my thoughts or anything, I was just spiraling way downwards. And for sure I was looking for any signs of inflammation, or any signs of improvement is we do always. I tried to creams they work, but you cannot apply them all the time. I knew they're dangerous. After a while I was trying to read about my my health and trying to get better. Then I had sono, I had CT, if my organs are are failing or something, I took a lot of blood tests, stool tests, these tests, I was even healthier than my wife, who was back then like 23 years old, which our age difference is 11 years. So it was strange that I'm the sick one and I have better results in blood tests. And that she does,
Kerstin Ramstrom:Right, you know, in Medical Medium talks about that a lot like the blood tests don't tell us everything we want to know, unfortunately.
Viktor Rajek:So I went to a lot of specialists, skin specialists, allergy specialtists, I took a lot of tests, if I'm allergic to some kind of foods. No allergies at all, they just told me Oh, your histamine levels are you know, a little bit on the rise. But you know, if you maintain these foods you should be right. You just keep eating it and checking yourself out how you do. And and they also told me that some of my white cells count is kind of different, increased and that.... but that's just because what I'm going through, and that's it. It's funny, because if you keep looking for the truth, you obviously gonna get somehow to it, the journey might be different the way you expected. And also, sometimes you think that you know, this is it, this is what makes gonna get me better, I'm happy. But actually, it's another stop or transfer between one path to another. But you have to be open to it. And that's when I learned about Joe Cross or the documentary, Fat, Sick & Nearly Dead. That's... thanks to that, it opened my eyes that how sick the world is, how we are not taking care of ourselves. How we do eat when we're older, even kids, I mean in the United States is different than in Europe. But when I was younger, my mom or my grandparents always told me eat the vegetables, eat the fruits, and we were crying, we want to go to McDonald's, and they're like, no, you're not going there. Because you're gonna eat this, you're gonna eat these vegetables coming straight from the garden, because my grandma had a garden. Now my mom has a garden. So back then it was like this. And now we're grown up and we just go to a store and we buy this salad, you know, mayo salad or potato salad and we buy these ham, that ham, that sausage, that meat, that milk, produce, foods. So the whole basket is filled with that. Maybe some banana, one bunch of banana and some avocado or some tomatoes. But out of that, what we do? We're going to do some toast with ham and cheese. We're going to put it as a side with some meat and some mashed potatoes. But it's not healthy. And even Joe Cross talks about it, that this is not healthy. And that just opened my eyes. Okay, so we have to switch. This is why we are sick. So I applied all his teachings as well. I started juicing for three months straight.
Kerstin Ramstrom:And so for anybody who hasn't seen Fat, Sick & Nearly Dead, it is a wonderful documentary, and I will put a link to it in the show notes. But in that it's about a 60 day juice cleanse that Joe Cross does. Yeah, he's in New York City when he starts it and then he takes his show on the road for the last 30 days. And he's got a juicer in his car, which by the way, I always get huge inspiration out of that- I want to know what battery pack he used to do that because I'd love to be able to have a juicer in my car like that. But in the second half, he's just at the side of the road juicing and he starts talking to different people and talking to him about health and things like that. And so it's a wonderful documentary and the cornerstone of it is that he does a lot of juicing so....
Viktor Rajek:Yeah, so I was juicing everything. I made salads, or beetroot, cucumber tomatoes, sometimes, orange juice, so I was using everything combined for three months. I did juices for like all at once. I did like five liters or 10 liters of juice and I just poured it to all these glass bottles and whatever I had, and the way he did it, and I had it for the whole, like three, four days, but now, now after Anthony William, it's nice, but it doesn't give you the healing power. Maybe the freshest one for 24 hours they did. I combined cucumbers, carrots, beetroot, orange, apple, salads, and other kinds of sorts of vegetable, whatever was seasonal. But back then, as I said, I didn't know all the informations I do have now, but for sure I was... I was healthier. I started losing a lot of weight. In 2018, September, I was around to 280 pounds. And then within three months, within before the Christmas, so it was October, November, December, I was down to 220 pounds.
Kerstin Ramstrom:Wow.
Viktor Rajek:So 60 pounds in three months. Sure I was, you know, trying to work out but it was all about food. Sure, sometimes I had some gluten free bread and lactose free cheese and, and only maybe one in three days, four days. And if I wasn't juicing, I was eating just salads, I was eating just potatoes and vegetables and stuff. So I was really eating clean, eating rice fish, I was thinking about eating clean, or vegetarian/vegan food, so that stuff. And so I was losing weight, but the itchiness and the pain and and the inner burning was not leaving my body, I was feeling better. But I was not sleeping much better. I was thinking it's gonna kickstart later on after I lose all the weight. I knew my organs are fat, and the vascular fat inside the organs is there, so I have to get it all out of my body. And then they're gonna kick start all the processes and then that's when I'm going to get better. I tried really hard to get myself better. But I wasn't not feeling, that's it. And this is, you know, this is what's gonna heal me. It improved my life a little bit, but it did not heal me that good. My wife helped me to actually get in touch with Joe Cross personally. We talked, he told me a lot of new information. So I did this cycle for three months, and I dropped to around 190 pounds. It was the lowest I'd ever been in my life, back in high school maybe... or in elementary school probably. So I dropped really down. By yet again, the itching prevailed, also the inner discomfort and and inner burn, just this inner feeling was inside of me that this is not improving. Still, I had to apply corticoids. I had wedding 2019. And I had this breakouts on my forehead, on my neck, everywhere. I'm not sure if it was a detox or some people call it even that it was this corticoid withdrawal. And as I was maybe doing this, I was getting better. But right now what I see that, that this things may be improved something inside of me. But it was not helping me to heal properly, or giving me the tools to heal without so much pain and troubles. Because Medical Medium's style is different. You know, it provides you all the information now about the sugars, how the sugars are actually important. All the other things are like just just juice or eat healthy. But if you not know specifically what is healthy, even if you are applying these foods, you don't know how to do it properly, you're not being guided. And Medical Medium, even the community or or himself through all the social networks and books and podcastsm he's providing you with so much help and guidance to go through and to find the answers to the questions and provides all the necessities and tools and steps so so you don't feel alone.
Kerstin Ramstrom:I think one of the things that Medical Medium gives us that so many other diet/ nutritional plants can't give us on the same level, is the why, right? Yeah. As Joe Cross was doing, he knows that this combination of water fasting and juicing and salads and all of this healthy food, he knows helping and he thinks he knows why but he doesn't precisely know why. Yeah, but you get to the Medical Medium information and all of a sudden it's like Oh, right, here's the why. Yeah,
Viktor Rajek:You're now like connecting the dots. Like back then, he's like, like your grandma would say, just do it. You know, just do it. And you you will grow strong or you grow taller or whatever it is, or healthy, but they don't know why. So yeah, then I had the wedding and I had apply corticoids as well to look better on my wedding day. And that was the rashes or anything. But I had all under my eyes, I had eye bags all the time. And like looking like really tired. And I was, because I was tired from the whole thing. It's a marathon. And then I was running and he didn't know where the finish line is.
Kerstin Ramstrom:And so as a professional athlete, that was probably even more frustrating because yeah, it's so goal oriented when you're a professional athlete, and all of a sudden here, you don't have... you don't have all the pieces for that.
Viktor Rajek:Yeah. And you just pressing through. So I continued and I knew is that joke, or this healthy lifestyle, you know, even though you're looking like you're eating healthy, wasn't it. So I gained weight again. We went to our honeymoon. It got worse and worse during winter time and got worst. And then around January, February 2020. That was the worst ever. My forehead was red burning. My skull was itching. I wasn't sleeping. I had this pressure in my head, brain fog, as Anthony would say. I couldn't focus. And when I was in conversations, I wasn't a stable listener. I was just in my thoughts, always itching, always twitching, always having these shivers. Always this, this state of seizures, itchy seizures, I would say or scratchies seizures that I would scratch myself for two hours, couldn't stop. I couldn't focus and I had to work. I had to do meetings. It was really so tough. I was so much work overwhelmed with everything. So it was really tough to handle, to manage, to organize. I was just lost. Like, I was driving from Vienna to Bratislava, which is one hour drive and just itching the whole ride there. And it was so dangerous, because you're not focusing on the road. I'm still lucky sometimes that I'm here. But I was burning from inside. I was in pain. I was desperate because I tried so much things, so many doctors. And then in February my my wife, she showed me this picture coming from Medical Medium community, but we didn't know back then. She just looked at it like look, this is exactly like your case of skin rashes on your forehead, whatever. And she thought it's me. That the picture was taken from my Instagram or somewhere I don't know. And he was me. And then I click the picture. She forwarded me and took me to Anthony William, Medical Medium. Back then he had like 1 million or 900,000 followers. He already talked about the the Celery Book, then talking about other books and having this podcast on his medical medium.com. And we were going to Dubai for this business trip in February 2020. And I listened the whole ride to the airport, it was like three hours drive. I listen to these podcast and about liver, about skin, about depression, about all this.... All his old episodes,
Kerstin Ramstrom:In case you didn't know Medical Medium came out with a podcast in late 2020. And he's got I think 18 episodes of that. But what he has done is he is back filled, at least on Apple Podcasts with a lot of his old radio shows which are broadly available on Hay House Radio, which you need a subscription for that. But a lot of them are also on Soundcloud where you can find them for free. So I'll put some links to that in the show notes so if you haven't discovered those yet, they are a wealth of information. And I will say when I first started out and we only had the first book, those were an incredible source of information because he does dive deep on a lot of different topics. And I've spent lots of time in the car to listening to those just back to back to back.
Viktor Rajek:Yeah, so a lot of them field in my void or my place of information that I was searching or missing. And I was like, Wow, this makes sense, it was really hard to grasp that.... He talks about in his podcast sometimes like why he's a Medical Medium and what he hears and why he's the guy he is. And it was hard to believe. But here in Europe, Djokovic, the tennis player. We knew he was vegan and then I found out that he's vegan because of Medical Medium.
Kerstin Ramstrom:And he just won Wimbledon yesterday.
Viktor Rajek:Exactly, exactly. So and this is why he's so good because he's following this Medical Medium information. His results spoke for itself. And from the podcast, I was listening. And he was talking about just celery. And back then I hated celery so much. I mean, I couldn't even chew on that stick because of the taste and the structure, and the fibers on it. And I didn't even know how it looks, like to buy it. I wasn't ever looking at it in the store. So we flew to Dubai. And I told myself, okay, the first thing, we went to the store, it had a huge selection of vegetables. And there was a whole row of celery was like, Oh, this is nice, you know, so I just got the celery. And I start chewing on it right away. And within few seconds, I felt this, this cold stream running down my chest from my thyroid. And it was a different feeling. He was this calmness, it was this, this stream of happiness, running right away instantly, for for a few seconds, it was something else, I felt something else inside of me that I haven't felt for four years since 2016. And I was like, wow, this is crazy. Then I started listening more, looking at his lives and posts and stories on Instagram, and went through his whole Medical Medium website, his whole Medical Medium Instagram and I looked into the juicing. So I found out a juice shop close to my hotel in Dubai. And I was bringing them to celery because they didn't know how to juice celery or didn't juice it or sell it or whatever. So I was bringing them the whole bunch of celery and they just made like to have liter cups. One was for me, one was for my wife, but she's like, No, I'm not drinking this. So I drank the whole thing the first time like the next day. Like it was like a one liter and which is around 36-40 ounces, probably. And I still remember, even today, I had so much pain inside of my stomach, my digestive system. I didn't know if I were gonna puke, if we're gonna go to toilet. If you're gonna go both ways, whatever. I was just curling myself on a couch. And I was out for like three hours, like just sweating, going to toilet, sweating, going to toilet, pain, drinking something, I felt like like the day before I had two weeks of party straight on alcohol. It was like having a hangover. But it was good. Afterwards, after it calmed down a little bit.
Kerstin Ramstrom:You know, it's so funny because celery seems like such a tame.... it's technically an herb, but it seems so tame, right? And it's such a shock to so many people that as soon as you juice it, which is the most medicinal way that you can have it, how powerful it suddenly becomes, right? The first time I had it too, I thought it's really just celery, this shouldn't be a big deal. And I think I only did about four ounces. And I broke out in a cold sweat. I thought I was gonna get sick. It's amazing how powerful it is. So of course you're, you're saying you drank a liter of it all at once your first day. And there's lots of people who make that mistake because they just they underestimate the power of it. So if you're listening to this, haven't tried celery juice yet start slow.
Viktor Rajek:And also, I didn't know how how to clean so it tastes good, you know, because they juice it with the leaves and they're really bitter. And also I don't know if they cleaned it properly, or they juiced the whole thing. I'm not sure. But they did it, who cares now, and after a while the pain went away. And I could focus and be functional again. I felt much better. I feel much relaxed, just felt better inside. The burning didn't went right away. But I just knew it's working. And also they said celery is an allergen. Even in gastronomy or in the food industry, it's one of the allergens, like peanuts or like mustard or like eggs or like milk. You know, here in Europe, we have to provide allergens to all the foods you cook and stuff like that. And celery is one of the allergens because it creates this reaction. But it's not allergen, it's actually a reaction because it detoxes you and it kind of takes away all the the stuff you have in your body, all the pathogens and viruses and everything you have inside of you. It tries to clean it wipe out and that's what he does.
Kerstin Ramstrom:It does it very quickly and very effectively. As we've seen.
Viktor Rajek:It's really strong. So if you detox too much, it can be painful. It can be tough on your body, on your recovery, as well. And it can take away your state of mind as well. It can take away your thoughts of this healing journey. It can deprive you of this energy to get better if you're not doing properly. And this is the detail that some people are going you know 100% into it and it can change their mind after a while. it's so strong and tough on them, that they like they cannot hold in, you know, they're not strong enough or their mind and or soul is not strong enough. And as I said in 2020 also, when we returned from the trip, I knew I'm on the right path, and I knew is gonna be tough. I kind of looked at the finish line, where is it, but I didn't know how I'm gonna feel, what's it gonna be, what struggle it will be. So I continued, I did my first Heavy Metal Detox Smoothie, out of some ingredients we had, we didn't have wild blueberries, we had regular blueberries. Also, we had spirulina and barley grass I got online, I had this mix of seaweeds that contained dulse as well. So I tried to match the ingredients as close as I could back in those days. I didn't know where to get the best ingredients or how to find them. But I was at the beginning of the journey. So I tried anything. And we did this first smoothie, I didn't know how it's going to taste, I did not know the texture of it or anything. So I drank it. And then bam, within few seconds, there was this sugar rush in my head. And my brain just opened up, you know, my eyes just open up, the heavy weight out of my head just got released and raised. And I could focus you know, I was like.... just the pressure that I had in my forehead - because my forehead when I touched it, it was like a metal plate. It was like No, no feeling No, no, no nothing in it. Just a pain. And suddenly I could feel it. You know, I felt like this nerves and connection to my brains. And I was focusing for like, 10 minutes. I felt so good. I was like, Wow, so this is it. This is crazy. And then it returned back the whole pain and then the pressure bag again, the seizures and so it returned. So I was like wow, okay, tomorrow again.
Kerstin Ramstrom:So what exactly do you attribute that to now?
Viktor Rajek:Now I tribute to the sugar, for sure. I think this smoothie is the energy drink of all energy drinks out there in the world.
Kerstin Ramstrom:We'll cheers to that again. We're still sitting here drinking ours.
Viktor Rajek:I do I drink one liter a day in the mornings, every day. And I attribute it to the energy for sure, it's a crazy source. I think what happened that the dulse started working right away and took some of the heavy metals with it. Because dulse, Atlantic dulse, is like a tree of oceans. So when the trees are are breathing in the oxide and breathing out the oxygen, so dulse is breathing in the heavy metals, right, out of the ocean and once you drink it, you know, it takes it away and maybe took on his way some of it. But I felt so good. But for sure I already was drinking celery. I learned when you wake up the best way - right away when you open your eyes - drink lime water or lemon water, half liter or 16 ounces or 20 ounces whatever it is, just drink it. If you're tired, if you're sick, if your bed stuck, have it nearby you, so when you wake up, somehow through a straw or whatever, just get it in you. And go back to bed if you're tired whatever, just go back. After 10-15 minutes you will start feeling a little bit of energy that you can stand up, that you can do this, you know, somehow I don't know what's what's going on.
Kerstin Ramstrom:I mean Anthony has said having the living water from the lemons. It provides that hydration for us first thing in the morning. Besides it also flushes out everything we've detox in our liver overnight. But hydration is so critically important for our lymph. Absolutely.
Viktor Rajek:Sure and hydration, he talks about also it has to be the living water, which comes from the foods and vegetables so whatever comes from it, you know, is living water. And so after you wake up, those 10 to 15 minutes, then you go right away to juicing. And also it has to be the freshest celery, so that's why I squeeze the celery or juice it every morning. That's the one of the mistakes I did back then when I was doing Joe Cross that as I told you, that I was preparing my juices for three-four days ahead and.... which was nice, you know, got me a little bit water, maybe minerals but the healing was not there. Because it dies, after 24 hours the celery dice. So if you use it the night before, and you sleeping 8 hours, that's alright, you know, you get as I said 24 hours is 100% and then each hour is proportional percentage decreases so you get still the strength but not so much. And so I'm juicing it every morning, drinking it, then I wait. That's another mistake I did in the past that after I juiced and I drank the celery, I continued with the smoothie. You know, right away within five minutes I did a smoothie and I drank a smoothie, which is not bad yet again. It's like with the Joe Cross, you know, it gives you good stuff to your body, but he doesn't heal you. You know, it's, it's about the healing. So we're doing the medication process. And when I went through the Celery Book, Medical Medium, that's when he talks about the wait time. How it is important for the celery to run through the portal veins, that celery goes straight from stomach to liver, it's not being digested or anything. It shoots straight to the liver, straight to the blood system, straight to the lymphatic system, straight to the whole body. That's why it's so fast and quick and everything. And if you give it the time, as I said 30 to 45 minutes, sometimes an hour. And when I was sick and when I started applying this, that's when I especially improved myself, radically, I improved. Because yet again, after February returned from Dubai, when the detox started, and I started applying everything Medical Medium said, I still ate vegetarian/vegan food. But now I know it's not healthy. It was fatty, soya, corn. All this stuff, also contains chemicals, GMOs, natural flavorings, whatever is in there. It's tasty, but it is not healthy. I mean, you're not eating meat. So you're a vegetarian, vegan, but you're not actually eating healthy. Now there is also a lot of design from gastronomy, fast foods, vegetarian or vegan fast foods, and it's still fried, and it's still in oil. And it's still processed food. But it's not meat. That's all right. You're nice that you're not eating meat, but it's not healthy. So it doesn't necessarily mean if you're vegetarian and vegan, you are eating healthy. I did this back in 2020, when the situation was that it was last year. I had a lot of more time to learn and read books. And also I was juicing, but yet again, I was doing mistakes that I was using ahead of time, I bought in a store celery, did three to four glasses for four days. But you know, that means I have celery every four days. Because then other three days it was dead, you know, it was not healing. The other thing is I was doing this smoothie after the celery, which is yet again, it was a dead celery after the day 2, 3, 4. And it was not giving time to heal it. So I was actually applying this every four or five days the proper way. But still, on the day that the celery was healing me, I was not letting the celery to heal me properly. Because I had the smoothie right away. I didn't wait. Those were the mistakes. Also, I did not apply the lime water or lemon water in the mornings. And I was getting worse and worse and worse because I was not getting any adrenals snacks, sugars. I was still in the books, I was still trying to read what's wrong with me because in the first Medical Medium book to Heal, he talks about all the diseases and you're trying to fit where you belong. And then somehow I fit into the shingles case. And I was like, Okay, this is 70-80% of my issue, but he talked about the foods that are against the shingles, what to eat that will help me to restore it energy, help me to find the viruses, help me to fight the sickness, help me to heal. Also he talks about what kind of shingles we have, we have 15 itchy, 15 non-itchy. I have like 10 from itchy, 5 from not itchy. So it kind of like.... all the information connected, all the dots connected. And I was like okay, so I know what to do now. And next day I just got to the store and my basket was only filled with the food that he prescribed. I put it in my fridge and I just start eating potato, sweet potato, avocado - in this case avocado is good because for shingles, avocado kills shingles. And back then when I was just on my own, and with no guidance from the community, because I was new in the community, and I was writing to the comments box and to Anthony, What to do? What to do? and asking questions and no response or replies or anything and and so I was just confused because I was in a pain and I was doing his stuff but it wasn't helping me. But it was helping me a little bit but not the way I expected it to, because we have learned that you know you will get just better and better and better from that day on, you apply, you just get better. But then I learned it's three steps forward and two steps back. Because the viruses are organisms that want to live as well. There are, there are smart guys as well, they eat, they poop, they migrate all over the body. So they're looking for the source of food. they migrate all around the body. That's why sometimes we have the itchiness on different parts of our body, even when we're healing. And what also they're doing, they're cannibalize themselves. So once the virus or pathogen is about to die, explodes, it leaves the sludge of toxin in that part, that's when you get the rash again, or you get the seizure. And you're like, why, again, you're just so frustrated, like, why is it happening again, because I'm doing everything right, I didn't eat anything. And you just start blaming yourself again, and all the information but just maintain the course, just let it be. And if you understand it's a three way forward, two way back, that's the virus trying to fight you. Cecause it's an organism that wants to be alive, and wants to live. But if you maintain the course, they will get weak again, and again and again. And your immune system will grow stronger, your mind will get stronger, your soul will get stronger, and you get better and better and better.
Kerstin Ramstrom:So if you're not familiar with Medical Medium's first book, he did just put out a revised edition a couple months ago, in March of 2021. And it's called Secrets Behind Chronic and Mystery Illness and How to Finally Heal. And when you look for that online, make sure you get the Revised Edition because he has updated it with some new information versus the one from five years ago.
Viktor Rajek:And now after I learned, I knew I don't have just this sluggish liver or bad digestion system. I also had diabetes 1.5. I also had Raynaud Syndrome, which now I know.... I think the first book to be read should be about the liver. He has just this book about liver.
Kerstin Ramstrom:His fourth book is called Liver Rescue and it's a medical textbook, I do find the first one helpful the beginning just so you can sort of orient yourself as to where you are with the root cause of the symptoms that you're dealing with. But Liver Rescue is very much a medical textbook, and it's so enlightening on so many fronts. I completely agree with you.
Viktor Rajek:For sure and I think that's why it should be read first, because it gives you the insight that your liver is the brain of your body, and even discusses about it. Because our brain is the mental or soul connection to our processes. But the way our body works, its thanks to the liver, and after I read that book, that's when I got all the details through what's going on with the food, how the liver is a big brother to other organs. I would imagine to myself that the liver is like a warehouse or a storage house. Imagine a nice clean storage house there, you have no mess. And then a trash truck comes in, dumps it there. And what the liver does is, Okay, so this goes to liver, I'm not dealing with this, you know, because he knows the liver people will come in and take it away. But imagine the liver people are not coming in because they don't know how to do it. And it's there. So the liver has to do, okay, I have to take this and put it aside because another pressure will come. And now we will be storing it into the empty spaces. And we have to imagine that these empty spaces where.... he talks about, Anthony William, it's 2000 processes that the liver is giving to the body. And each process is like... to each organ because it's brain of the body. And imagine that you have this warehouse and there are all these processes. And now he's telling, okay, we have this department for skin detox, right that we can sweat and detox the toxins out of the sweat. And he will say okay, now I'm dumping this sludge here. And he will dump it on them. And and now the department will be like, okay, we're working under this sludge, or we have to move away. You know, he just keeps doing and keep filling the whole warehouse. And the all the processes, all the departments once they're being like filled. He's continuing to another department and another department and from the 2000 processes, suddenly you have only 1999, 1900, 1800, 1700.... and it's just dropping, dropping, and that's when we're starting to having issues like eczemas, we're sensitive to a lot of stuff. Because each of these processes are specifically for something and maybe you get dumped a lot of sludge to department that's why you have depression or that's why you have brain fog. Or that's why you have headaches or you're sick or nausea, or whatever it is. It's depends where the liver keeps dumping it. And then when I realized, okay, I stopped eating meat because back then when I was in the on the healing journey, I realized that when I eat meat, I get a lot of worse. And if I don't, I improve a little bit. So now I know why. And so now I need meat maybe once in two weeks or once in one week, it depends. Now I'm much better and healthier. And what I did was, I applied all the healthy foods, no oils, no, just all through vegetables and fruits. I applied the morning ritual the way it's supposed to be.
Kerstin Ramstrom:And for anyone who's interested in that morning routine, as you say, sort of the way 'it's supposed to be', if you've read Cleanse to Heal, the Morning Cleanse, that is that morning ritual, which so many of us, that's what we followed before he made it sort of official in Cleanse to Heal. But that morning cleanse is that ritual with the lemon water, the celery juice, and the Heavy Metal Detox Smoothie.
Viktor Rajek:And he also tells about the Celery Book about what the celery does through through the 30-40 minutes you don't eat or drink anything, or you don't dilute the the celery with any ice or water or anything. He talks about what iot does, you know how it goes through your body and cleans and how it finds the viruses and pathogens. And then just one by one every day, every day, you apply, it just takes away and he keeps cleaning and when you eat healthy in the way how Anthony talks, no oily food or just vegetables and potatoes and whatever he describes, you are preserving the energy from the digestive system. That means your digestive system doesn't takes out so much energy. It helps to keep the liver return all the processes back. And want once they kickstart back in you will start the difference and your body will start to heal better. So your skin will get better pigment color, will get better flexibility, you will get the protection layer and now the skin can heal better, faster. After all the breakouts. Even right now, it's like more than 500 days or my morning routine. As I said, now I enjoy any meal whenever I can. I don't try to abuse my health, the way I feel better. But for sure when my family was here, I had some meat three days in a row because we went you know to other places that I wanted to enjoy their time with them. I had some beer, I kind of lived like a regular guy. For sure every day I did the morning routine. I never establishes my breakfast. But afterwards, like after they left, back to potatoes, back to vegetables, no meat for another, I don't know one or two weeks, whatever I can, and I try to you know live healthy as I can. But after I have the meat I do have some breakouts sometimes like some pimples or some swelling somewhere. But the skin is so healthy now. And the immune system is so strong that within one or two days it's gone.
Kerstin Ramstrom:After you started doing this - because you really started ramping up on the Medical Medium protocol in February and March of 2020 - how long did it take before you really saw up tangible results?
Viktor Rajek:As I said the first results I saw the difference when I drink the celery and smoothie. I knew that I was hooked. I was hooked. But I wasn't sure 100%. Because even Joe Cross I was hooked, but I wasn't 100% sure. But when I was 100% sure this is it, was when the time extended. And after I applied the details. When I started using just a fresh celery when I could find a special Atlantic dulse package or Vimergy products I purchased from Germany from this website. It's really, really great. I'll give you the link as well for all the Europeans in here.
Kerstin Ramstrom:Absolutely. We'll put it in the show notes.
Viktor Rajek:They also do the Heavy Metal Detox Smoothie package, which is spirulina, barley grass, wild blueberries powder, and also this Atlantic dulse. You know, it was the hardest to find. But now I know where to get it. And so after I applied all the details, the improvements were radical. I felt every day, like one minute better. So when I had this morning routine, like for the span of the routine, I felt good. After I applied the celery juice, and you know I went to bathroom and I had little you know, cramps. And then I had the smoothie and I had this sugar rush, right, I felt good. And for sure I was always itching this pain inside of me. But every day, it was one minute less of it, one minute less of it. And another thing what changed the most was when I read about his diabetes 1.5 and about sugars, that since I was hooked on the hot water, and I was addicted to this feeling, I had to fight this urge to apply this water. So it was like a heroin shot for me. And because I knew when I'm doing it, I'm damaging my skin. And I need the energy to not to be used for the skin repair, but for the regeneration of my liver and all the other processes. So and I had this seizures, and he talks about this diabetes 1.5, where your liver is not able... one of the processes to store a sugar. If you eat something, your insulin rises up and burns the sugar. And what was happening in my body that I was getting these insulin shocks that... Diabetes 1.5 is that your liver is so confused that it releases insulin whenever it wants to. And that's when I had the seizures. And he said just do the adrenal snacks, red apples, dates, figs, honey, coconut water. And I was like... I started doing it for.... he's talking in the book, like every two hours. So I did the first time and the seizure was not that strong. And I was like, Okay, let's do it every hour. So I was applying it every hour. And if I forgot, like let's say I didn't have the adrenal stick, when the the clock hit, I waited for an hour, 30 minutes, I was feeling the seizure coming back. And so I ran to honey, you know, just got a spoonful of honey just in my mouth. And then I had a whole jar of honey near my bed. And I did a alarm clock every hour at night. And after I started applying with sugar, my timespan of sleep increased. Like for two years, I never slept like eight hours straight. But I had my sleep like one hour awake then two hours, one hour awake, like three hours. And this was my nights every every night for two, three years. And suddenly, when I applied the sugar, my sleep expanded every night for like 20 minutes. And after that, I started applying to sugar. So the first night I slept like two hours and I was like all happy, you know, and then three hours. And then I slept three hours, awake two hours and then three hours. I was like I had six hours of sleep. I was so happy. And then after let's say two weeks, I slept six hours straight. And it was such amazing feeling. And then the next night I just fell asleep just because I fell asleep. You know like this calm feeling a sense of you. I put in myself in a lot of sugars. A lot of dates, a lot of honey before I went to bed. I laid down and suddenly I just felt like falling asleep because it started releasing the good adrenalines. And after I was connecting the dots, it made more sense. And I was applying the details what to do. And this is what accelerated the the healing process. And that's when I knew I'm on the right path. You know, after I was doing around this, this proper Medical Medium I did for like one and a half month. Like just straight everyday potatoes, cooked potatoes, baked potatoes, baked sweet potatoes, sprouts, asparagus every day, because it was a springtime, it was season of asparagus. Drinking coconut water, coconut water is so good. And this is something that after I apply the sugars, he didn't talk in the books much about the sugars, but it was in this Liver Rescue book, that's when he talks about it. And after I applied this detail, that's when my health accelerated a lot. Because what was happening that I was burning so much sugar, even what I ate the healthy food, my detox was depriving me out of all the sugars, and you're in order to heal, not just detox. But in order to heal, you need sugars.
Kerstin Ramstrom:Well, and he talks about from the adrenal snacks, the adrenal snacks are a combination of not only the sugar, but also the potassium and some more sodium to keep you going all day. The celery juice unfortunately doesn't last forever. But it is one of the things that gives you that balance. And absolutely as you're healing, you're burning through those things. And I'll put a link in the show notes to those.... to some of the adrenal snack combinations that he recommends.
Viktor Rajek:But I'm a more detailed guy, you know, I need to understand why. I want to understand what is it doing inside of me. I just want to understand, and when he's talking about just eating snacks, I'm like, why would I do snacks because I'm eating healthy, right? So why would I do it? And now I know why. Right? But it was because I read through the book. I continue, I persevere because I'm a professional athlete. And I'm used to this way but not many people are and they're they're just start being confused and then just give up. And this is something I'm telling them, you know, just keep reading the book, continue. I have also people, they're telling me, oh, I tried this Medical Medium for two weeks, you know, it got better, but you know, and I'm like, just continue, you know, just trust the process.
Kerstin Ramstrom:So when did your eczema get better?
Viktor Rajek:Right away. I mean, the whole process. It's strange because I started applying 2020 February, that's when I had my first celery stick. And I knew I was doing something. In March, I had my first Heavy Metal Detox Smoothie, when it hit me. Then I start reading books. I read all of the books, listened to him and I did the detox healing things but with mistakes. And then the worst day was April 15, on my birthday, I was bed stuck, I couldn't even move. The whole April I was just reading the books, eating well, starting I would say in mid of April, I realized what mistakes I did. But when I applied the morning ritual proper way, when I applied all the food proper way, I cut all the troublemaker foods. I started doing all the supplements and it just started getting better. And just you know the adrenal snacks, the sugar. When I realized when all the dots connected. So it took me one and a half months to go through all the information, through all the books, and figure out where I stand and what I have to do, in middle of April is starting to accelerate. Around end of May, I felt much better. So like one and a half months - less itchiness, no pains inside, no burning inside, for sure, I had sometimes seizures and my foot was swollen and but my redness on my forehead was disappearing. I did still have some breakouts or new spots and stuff like that. But I could move better. But now just the flexibility of my skin. When somebody said something, I just turned like my whole body because it was a pain inside, like just couldn't move from, just my arm like this right? Frozen shoulders and everything. And it just started getting better. And movement was better. Sleep was better. And I knew... once I hit like three hours of sleep, I knew that's good. I knew I'm gonna get there because I didn't have it before. Why do I have it now? And I just believed that, I did the meditations that Anthony has right now on podcasts about.... the Moon Meditation is my favorite one because the biggest pains I had during the the full moon. But back then I couldn't sleep at full moon, I was more stressed. I was feeling way worse. But when I did the Moon Meditation, I feel so much better. And now I'm looking forward for the full moon because I know my body's releasing all the bad thoughts and all the bad information and everything and I'm just cleaning myself, so I'm more connected to the processes that the world or the universe has for us.
Kerstin Ramstrom:And so how is your health today? How is your skin today?
Viktor Rajek:My skin has no red colors. I do have pigment dots. That means like where have the scars all over my back, I had like crazy scars. So right now when I'm being tanned, you can see some white dots. But I know the body regenerates itself, like let's say my foot the way it looked. And now it's crazy. Like I would never think it's gonna heal. Like I'm gonna have some issues or scars or, or something left on my foot or some excess skin. But it's crazy. It's regained the flexibility. So as I said, like right now when I eat some food, like meat, I do get a breakout within one-two days, not not right away. Back then I ate something and I had the seizure, like I ate something bad. Like, like, let's say half year ago, I ate something. But now I do, nothing. And in two days, I get some pimple or breakouts or something like, get a little bit of pain back. But within, as I said, one or two days, it's gone. So the skin regenerates really well. I know it's a process. I'm around 95- 94% healthy. So this is what will happen to me, it accelerated right away. So it took me around three months, four months to get to 70-80%. But the rest of the 10% I'm doing now the 15, it's gonna take me another 6, 7, 8 months. Yeah, and I know it's gonna take me another year in order to get the 6% that I have left, but I know I'm on the right way. I know I have the right tools. And this is something that I know it's right.
Kerstin Ramstrom:So if you were talking to somebody right now who was just starting out in their health journey, what's the one piece of advice you would give to them?
Viktor Rajek:The one piece of advice would be forget everything you were told and learned about from the past. Your day starts with the morning ritual of Medical Medium, which is the lime water, celery juice, and Heavy Metal Detox Smoothie. These are the top priorities in your whole day. If... sick people are always confused, they don't know where to do, what or where to start or what to focus on. Just focus on this, and then build the whole day around it. If it takes you at the beginning three hours, it's alright, just make sure this is the time of the day, just don't watch TV or don't go on a computer or whatever, just focus on this, and then build around it everything else. So if you have to go to, to job at nine, make sure you wake up early in the morning, because it will take you two, three hours. And do it. You know, if you are in a really hurry, juice it the night before, you know, the smoothie, or the celery and then just take it with you and you have it with you, if you're really, really hurry. But yet again, if you're sick, just put everything aside. Because if you're sick, you cannot be in a hurry, you don't have the energy for it. I know.
Kerstin Ramstrom:I went through the same thing. Yep,
Viktor Rajek:I was in the same spot. If you're really sick, you don't have energy to just be in a hurry. So build around it and just focus on the morning ritual with your mind, your soul and trust the process. It is three steps forward two steps back. And for sure other foods and other supplements will accelerate it, will improve it. But this is the the strong steps towards the finish line of healing yourself. And this is what will give you the drive and the energy and just focus on it. And once you've done it, the morning ritual, be happy what you did for your body, be happy that you're on the right way. And that you did it. Because this ritual is not easy. That's another thing like people, oh, it's just juice or you just you know, it takes a lot of preparation, it takes a lot of time to juice, to clean the machine, to find the ingredients, to get a smoothie, to wait, to go to toilet. So is this whole thing. And this is what I was doing all the time. I was just focused on it.
Kerstin Ramstrom:You know, I so agree with you on this because when I was still working in New York, I traveled a lot for work, my days would sort of get away from me sometimes. But I knew if I started with my lemon water, with my celery juice, and with my Heavy Metal Detox Smoothie in tow, I knew I started my day off right. And at that point, I'd done a lot of healing. So I could handle the setbacks, like what you were saying before, I could handle the setbacks. But at least I knew I had a good core foundation for the start of my day. So I think that's fantastic advice. So people want to find you on social media, where can they find you?
Viktor Rajek:My Facebook is only my private life. But on the Instagram, I'm just under my name, @Viktor_Rajek, this is my handle on Instagram. And there I communicate with a lot of people that get ahold of me to ask questions or for help.
