This transcription below was provided to you for your convenience, please excuse any mistakes that the automated service made in translation. I'm Kerstin Ramstrom, a certified Holistic Health Coach, and welcome to the Quest for Healing Podcast. Whether you're just starting out on your health journey, or you're farther down your path, I've created this podcast to inspire and inform your health journey through, first, some extraordinary healing stories from real people; second, an exploration of some intriguing healing modalities; and third, through conversations with enterprising people who are making a difference in the health of our world. Welcome to Episode 47. I am so happy to share today's episode with you. My guest this week is the wonderfully gifted jazz composer and saxophone player, Tivon Pennicott. We explore his lifelong struggle to overcome eczema and we also examine how following the Medical Medium lifestyle, and drinking celery juice specifically, has inspired his recent music, if you aren't aware, Tivon's most recent album is called Spirit Garden. And the third song on the song list is actually called Celery Juice. So naturally, in the second half of the episode, we talk about some of the conversations that that has encouraged. One of the things that I enjoy about our community is that our people have such diverse backgrounds. If you know of other fascinating people that you think I should have on the podcast, please feel free to reach out to me and let me know. The best way to reach me is by private message on Facebook or Instagram at Carefully Healing and@CarefullyHealingwithKerstin, respectively. Or you can email me at ker@questforhealing.com. And with that, let's go to the episode. Tivon, thank you so much for coming on the podcast today. I really appreciate it.

Tivon Pennicott:

Absolutely. I'm glad to be here. This is amazing.

Kerstin Ramstrom:

This is amazing. I am so excited to dig into your health journey. And really understand through that, how it influences your music. That's the part I'm really excited to get to. So why don't you just take us back to where your health journey started.

Tivon Pennicott:

First of all, thank you for having me. I appreciate it. I think you're doing amazing things and informing people and keeping people on their healing journey. And I'm a musician, saxophonist. So for the last five, six years, I've been touring constantly with Gregory Porter, a great, great vocalist. And he's taken me all around the world, a lot of Europe, a lot of Asia. And just throughout that, the traveling schedule's pretty rigorous. A lot of flights, you know, not as much sleep. And so a lot of that can take a toll, slowly. And I have always struggled since a child with eczema. And so if you take all the traveling and all the lack of sleep, and just the stress of getting up every day and going to a different city, different country. And then also my diet... I wasn't eating crazily, but I was just eating whatever I wanted and drinking and all that stuff. So that was a great opportunity for my eczema to have an extreme flare up, I would say about three years ago. And it had never gotten that bad. It's always been...well, you know, actually, my, my eczema has always been there. And it was really bad Middle School, all on my legs. And it's like a different type of eczema. But for some reason, on this tour, this eczema, you couldn't really see it as much. But it burned and it was so uncomfortable. I wanted to like rip my skin off.

Kerstin Ramstrom:

And where was it on your body?

Tivon Pennicott:

It was all over my body. All over. Yeah, except for my face. It's never gotten on my face, but just all over. But the interesting... I mean, I know there's all different types of eczema. So I had never experienced this particular type. Which the naked eye would be like, your skin looks fine. But it was just so bad. That most incredible itch that I've ever experienced and the burning and I had to wear like these.... I bought pantyhose and cut the end of the pantyhose and put it on, and wore it... and sleeves. I made sleeves so that I wouldn't rip my skin off while I was sleeping through the itch. You know, Oh, that's so bad.

Kerstin Ramstrom:

And so when you had eczema in middle school and it was on your legs, yeah, it wasn't this kind of eczema. It was more of the typical, red bumps, itchy, scaly, bleeding, nasty stuff.

Tivon Pennicott:

Exactly. When I was very, very young, it was itchy but it was runny and itchy, but it wasn't like unbearable, it would just be like this habitual itch that I would just always scratch. That healed up and then it turned into this, it would look like almost like acne type of eczema, all on my legs. And that didn't necessarily itch, it just looked horrible. It was just there. So I would never wear shorts. I was just embarrassed by how it looked, like, looked scaly and horrible. That lasted for a long time, from like middle school, all the way through high school, and then the beginning of college, and I just kind of lived with that. Then, miraculously, it just started to go away. I think in college, I started, you know, drinking more water, and just thinking like, Oh, I'm going to stop drinking sodas and stuff, I'm going to drink a lot of water. I think that kind of indirectly helped. I didn't know what was going on. But it kind of went away. I went through my college years in my opinion, eczema free, you know, it was good. But then I said, I wanted to move to New York City. And the stress of that with no money, my saxophone got stolen. And I was in the city. And I was like, since my saxophone got stolen, I don't have any place to live, am I going to go back to Georgia with my family? Or am I going to, you know, ride it out and try to figure it out in New York. So I ended up deciding to just live in my car. So I was like, I'm about to do it. So I bought a new saxophone, instead of using that money to get an apartment. I just lived in my car and got my new saxophone. Took the bus around the city and do all that type, you know, the struggling musician. Throughout that, that's when I saw another crazy flare up on my legs, which, and now I think back because of the adrenaline rush, the stress of all that, like pretty bad flare up, you know. And that was the same type that I had been dealing with from middle school all through high school. So eventually, I found.... I got on my feet started playing. And it went away again, for a long time. I would say for a good six, seven years when I was in New York. So I had, I thought it was cool. Thought I was done with it. But I started the journey of touring, like I mentioned. And that's when this new type of eczema just showed up out of nowhere. And it was just horrendous. So as like, here it is, again, I have to do something about this. I've always dealt with this. And I don't want to have to deal with this for the rest of my life in the same way. So thankfully, I had a friend who I had met just through touring, and she had other things that she was dealing with health wise. And she was trying to she has... she's really... she was really sensitive to certain foods and her gut. And she had already come across Medical Medium, which was nice because she was the gateway for me to information. Her dad is a doctor. And I was desperate at the time. And I said, Listen, I'm in Germany, I don't have any sort of connections. Do you think your dad could write a prescription for some steroid cream, you know, because that's what my only... I had to try to figure it out. And she was gracious and her dad wrote a prescription and I used it. It helped a little, but it didn't really, it came back quickly. So fortunately, my friend, she told me about this podcast, that Medical Medium, that the Anthony Williams who who started a Medical Medium. And he was giving everyone who is suffering from eczema information that we'd never... that I had personally I had never heard before. And he was saying it in a way that immediately connected to my personal experience as if he had experienced it himself. You know, he knew how to connect with us.

Kerstin Ramstrom:

I think that's one of the most incredible things about his information. And so many people that I've interviewed for the podcast, they say, you know, I've read his first book, or I listened to his podcast or listened to the radio show or whatever it was, and they're like, it was like he was speaking to me. And just for reference for anybody who doesn't know Anthony had had a radio show. It started on Hay House radio. Most of the episodes are available now either on Soundcloud or on Apple podcasts. And he actually did two on eczema, one called Celery Juice for Eczema and Skin Conditions. And the other one is called healing Acne, Eczema and Psoriasis. So, if you're struggling with eczema and want to look for some of these, look up those titles. The best place right now to find them is on SoundCloud. They have the biggest library so...

Tivon Pennicott:

Absolutely.

Kerstin Ramstrom:

I'm so glad you found those.

Tivon Pennicott:

Ah man, it was a it was amazing to find that. It was the last one that you mentioned. I remember it. So, and the way he was just speaking about it, I learned so much just listening to that. So I remember deciding, then in there. Okay, how do I... how do I get better how? Because he was describing. He was describing the symptoms so vividly and the journey that everyone suffers have gone through. So I was just so into it like, okay, yes, you're right. That's it. Yep, that happens. Exactly. It comes back. Yep. And then this doesn't work. And then, and then yet that, Oh, I didn't know copper. Okay, that's pathogens feeding on copper. And then, and then when it comes out, the toxins come out. It's like a dermatoxin. And like, I'm learning all this information. So I'm like, how do I get better? What do I need to do to get better? You know, and now I know how it is. And then he started talking about the importance of adding more fruits into your diet, and how healing fruits can be, all different types of fruits, and the no foods and what to avoid, and add more leafy greens. And you know, all this stuff. And so I, without reading any of his books, without anything, I just immediately just shifted. Because that's kind of my personality I just... so I saw something about a 28 day cleanse, I said, Yep, I'm going on a 28 day cleanse. I didn't do it the right way. But what I did do was, I said, I'm just eating fruits and vegetables, which actually really helps because I couldn't get celery juice, I wasn't sure how to get the celery juice on the road.

Kerstin Ramstrom:

That must have been really tough. Here you are on the road, traveling full time when you found this and tried to start it. So it's not like you had your own kitchen. And it's not like you were even in one place for very long, where you could go out and buy a juicer and drag it along with you.

Tivon Pennicott:

Exactly. That's how desperate I was. Because it was so torturous. And I just, I knew then that if I just at least do fruits and vegetables, I'll be all right. I didn't have any idea about canola oil, oils, and you know, the fats. And so I remember just eating tons of salad. I remember eating, I remember being like, okay, just fruits and vegetables. And I think I can do nuts. I remember for like three days straight, I only ate cashews, like, just cashews. So you know, I'm learning. But at the same time, it got better. So without the celery juice, without the extra stuff, it started to improve really quickly, you know.

Kerstin Ramstrom:

And you weren't even doing a heavy metal detox smoothie, at this point.

Tivon Pennicott:

I wasn't, I wasn't. I just eliminated... I stopped eating eggs. You know, I saw like a list of no foods. And so I was like, Okay, I can stop eating eggs, I can stop doing pork. And there's one more... oh dairy, dairy. So that was the main thing. So dairy, pork, and eggs. I just kind of stopped there and was just focusing on fruits and vegetables. And that really helped a lot, really helped a lot. And from there, I said immediately when I got home, I'm gonna get all the supplies and everything. And this is amazing. I just kept healing. And I, I did experience some bounce back. So it was like, it's up and down, up and down, up and down. So that was a journey in itself. I had some situations where I was like, is this celery juice making this stuff worse? Like, what is this supposed to be? You know, so

Kerstin Ramstrom:

Talk us through that a little bit because I know there's a lot of people who go through ups and downs on their health journey. And I know a lot of people, just from questions I get from people, they don't realize that it's not essentially a linear path. So can you talk maybe about one of the ups and downs that you had, and sort of your thought process and how you got through it?

Tivon Pennicott:

Yeah, for sure. So I got home, and it cleared up and I felt like oh, everything is great. I'm glad it's all cleared up. And that was just from fruits and vegetables. You know, not that.... no oil. No, I didn't change anything about the oil or fat intake or anything else. No heavy metal detox and it cleared up. So then once I got all the stuff that I needed, I started doing celery juice. I started doing the heavy metal detox and I was even more strict with with my regiment on an everyday basis. Then it came back with a vengeance. It came back. So it wasn't as intense as the first time, but it's still came back pretty strong. And so I'm like, oh man, what do I do? What is this, it's happening again. And that's when I started getting kind of upset like, Man, this diet caused it to go back. So then I stopped doing it again. And I just went back to what I thought worked. So I was just all over the place. And eventually, it's like, you know what, I need to read this book, I need to see what's going on with this. And after kind of reading a lot of specifically for what I'm dealing with, I realized, Oh, I'm going to go through phases. And I started talking to some practitioners that I saw through Instagram, and met and also talked to people who've gone through similar experiences, much worse than me. And so they were saying, yeah, it gets a lot worse before it gets better. And then, you know, they kind of showed me a graph of, you know, it's like, I guess, I don't know which way to go. But you'd be like this. And then it's like, oh is going down, you're like, Oh, it's worse, but then you come back up, but it's a little higher, and then you drop and think, Oh, it's worse, but you don't realize you're getting higher and higher.

Kerstin Ramstrom:

And it's getting better and better.

Tivon Pennicott:

It's getting better and better. It's getting better and better. And that's basically the journey. And at this point, I don't deal with eczema. But along that journey, I realized that other things were getting better as well, you know, like, I could focus a lot better. It wasn't necessarily brain fog. But with what I do, you have to learn music really quickly, and you're expect it to retain that. It's like, okay, you just learned it 10 minutes ago, can you remember it now.

Kerstin Ramstrom:

And go out on a stage and play it....

Tivon Pennicott:

Yeah, exactly. And play... exactly. So you know, that process, I started to realize this, like, Man, I'm kind of killing that now. And I realized that celery juice helps my focus. It's amazing. Like, I can kind of like, check three conversations at once and comprehend what's going on. So celery juice always gave me that. It's not like coffee, but at the same time, I'm relaxed, but I'm, like, clear minded. I noticed that.

Kerstin Ramstrom:

How long did it take for your eczema to really clear up?

Tivon Pennicott:

I would say, a year, a year.

Kerstin Ramstrom:

Okay. So it's certainly not overnight. And it did have lots of those ups and downs. But

Tivon Pennicott:

Yeah, well, honestly, I've notice now that if I eat too much fat, like if I eat too many nuts or something, I can feel it, you won't be able to see it, I can kind of feel it. I'm like, Oh, that's starting to kind of come through. If I keep doing this, it might...... So I wouldn't say I'm out of the woods yet. But there's, it's not even close to what I had to deal with. And there's nothing you can see. It's just something that I can feel. If I'm not.... if I kind of go overboard. I realize it's a lot of fat intake for me. Like if I eat too many nuts, or if I eat too many avocados, or if I eat fish, if I'm like, Okay, I'm gonna get some wild caught fish and make sure I stay away from the farm fish. If I eat too much fish at one point, then it'll start to come up. So I'm thinking since that's heavy, that's heavy metal deals that I'm dealing with. But I would say that I'm eczema free. If I just live like this and eat how I eat, I'm eczema free. I'm done. I'm just glad I know what to do to just have some relief.

Kerstin Ramstrom:

So do you have flares still periodically? Or is it really just when you feel like you've added more fat to your diet?

Tivon Pennicott:

I don't have any flares as long as I'm eating cleanly.

Kerstin Ramstrom:

Okay.

Tivon Pennicott:

And so I would say that I have some phases where it's like.... I think I heard Anthony talk about how sardines have a specific soulfulness to them and how they probably have mercury in it. And so you probably shouldn't eat it. But there is something special that I saw, I was like, oh, cool, I love sardines, you know. And I'm feeling good. So I got the best sardines that I could find, the cleanest sardines in freshwater. And I ate those and I realized after doing that, I did it for like a couple of weeks. And I started to feel something on my leg and, huh, it didn't show up, but it would be like a little thing. And you know, and then I would stop and it would go away. And then just.... so those types of things. And now if at night I get a craving I'm like, I want some pistachios or Oh and I just want some cashews. I used to drink wine and just stuff my face with cashews. That's what I used to do. I used to just love that. But if I do that now, it will start come up a little bit.

Kerstin Ramstrom:

Yeah, it's great that our bodies give us that feedback, right?

Tivon Pennicott:

Yes, exactly.

Kerstin Ramstrom:

I got that feedback, especially when I was traveling in Asia. Because it wasn't always easy to get the foods that I wanted to, or to know exactly what was in the foods that I was eating. And my body would give me the feedback. And it's one of the reasons why five and a half years in for me, and three plus years in for you, we can stay on this. It's like, the body's reminding us like, No, no, I like the other way. Can we go back the other way, I want to go back to the clean eating way.

Tivon Pennicott:

You know, you know, what's also interesting is that... like you said, your body let's us know, a lot sooner, as opposed to building up to a huge explosion. Because beforehand, I was having a conversation with one of the drummers that I was playing with. And we were talking about how, like, if you were to eat McDonald's cheeseburgers every day, you would feel, you'd feel bad first, maybe for a week or two. But then if you were continued to do it, your body would adjust? And you would it would be this illusion that you're you're good, you know, so your body... it's that survival mechanism because it's like, okay, yeah, your body's just like, I guess that's the only thing available. So let's keep you alive with this, and let's make you feel good. But ultimately, that's not good for you. And so I realized that over the years, I felt good with the eczema, it wasn't necessarily showing up. But it wasn't necessarily good for me, then our body was kind of putting it, shoving it aside and saying, okay, we'll deal with this later, when we have some time, you know. Maybe, maybe that's what it is. But that's what it feels like. Because now that I've dealt with it, and brought everything to the surface, trying to get this last bit out. Because apparently, with eczema, it's pathogens that feed off of heavy metals, specifically copper. And if I'm drinking celery juice, the celery juice comes in, and it creates a toxic environment for those pathogens. And they can't necessarily thrive and it kind of weakens the, the outer shell, or whatever, they're protective skin of these,

Kerstin Ramstrom:

The membrane.

Tivon Pennicott:

Yeah, the membranes, right, the membranes, and that weakens that. And so it's a lot easier for our body to get rid of those. But apparently, some are like, deep, deep within the liver and have been there for generations, you know. So it takes it takes a lot of consistency, to fully rid yourself, your body, of these harmful pathogens. So anytime that I start to get like a little flare up, it's like, okay, the pathogens are still there, you know. Still not gone it, but at the same time, I think that I can stay consistent enough, just to get those out so that my future children, if I were to have children, they don't have to deal with what I had to deal with.

Kerstin Ramstrom:

Yeah, I think you bring up such a great point too that..... And we had talked about this a little bit, before we started taping some of the, we'll just say consumption habits that we posted had in our previous lives before Medical Medium, it's sort of a miracle how resilient our bodies are, to all of that, essentially, bad treatment that we had given to them. And we, you know, we didn't realize it at the time, right? We weren't.... the feedback system, the feedback loop wasn't as open then. And so you know, you might have had a hangover or just not felt well, or whatever, but you just keep going. And now that feedback loop is so much cleaner that it really doesn't take much before you see the difference. And it's like your body's telling you it's like no, no, I didn't really like that. Right. Okay. And I can listen, like, thank you for that wonderful communication.

Tivon Pennicott:

Yes, exactly. Exactly. And that can be a turn off to some people, you know, I would rather have it this way, because I want to, I want to live a fruitful life. And this life has a lot of things that you cannot really plan for. But I'm going to do as much as I can to help myself, put the right things in my body, so that I can enjoy this life as long as I can. And I believe that my body telling me right away will help my longevity.

Kerstin Ramstrom:

Absolutely. So I want to talk about your music. Yeah, because I love your music. And of course the reason that we had connected was because Medical Medium had talked about your song from your album Spirit Garden and your song is called Celery Juice. Yes, something that of course we can all relate to but my goodness, I'm sure most of the jazz world is like why is there this song out there about celery juice.

Tivon Pennicott:

Exactly. And that's exactly how I want it. When I explained earlier, my eczema journey. And once I was consistent on celery, that's when I realized the benefits, not just for eczema, but there's so many other things. And it was such an impact. I needed less sleep, I had more focus, my skin was clearer. The anxiety was not there, you know, brain fog not there, just so many things. And I was like, Man, this has changed so much for me, I need to write a song about this. You know, it was that good? Yeah, I know, it seems random. So many people are like, celery juice, what are we talking about? If you don't know, now, you know. You got to stay ready before you get ready. Celery juice is the answer. It's a gift from God. I feel like the benefits of drinking 16 ounces of pure celery juice on an empty stomach has changed so many lives drastically. I wrote a song and I have T shirts about it. It's so amazing that, you know, that I just need to spread it. I can't just keep it to myself. So I need to spread the word about the healing journey. And I can do it through healing, playing and writing music that's healing as well. It's important. Yeah.

Kerstin Ramstrom:

Awesome. So I had seen a video that you had done or that you'd published where you were playing the celery juice song. And you have a whole orchestra. So when you perform it like that, do any of the other people in the orchestra asked you about it? What are some of the conversations that you've had that have been spurred by the fact that you have the celery juice?

Tivon Pennicott:

It's funny that you say that, because we'll be in rehearsal. And the focus is to rehearse the music. But I can easily get sidetracked because I'm so passionate about the benefits. And so I'll be there. They'll be like celery juice, why did you name celery juice? And then I'll be like, well, and then I would go into, you know, what I've just kind of explained now. And there's people that, they just they don't understand, because it's just, it's too good to be true. It's so simple. They feel like it's too good to be true. But it is, it is the truth because of my own experience. But they're just very curious. And I explained it to them. And they asked me the typical question.... So that must taste horrible, like, can you just add something to it? And I'm like, well, no, you can't add anything to it if you want the true benefits of it. And it's like, Oh, so you have to drink 16 ounces on an empty stomach. It's like, what has it done for you? And the typical conversations that needed that.... that's the reason why I wrote the song. And it goes beyond just the musicians I play with. But the people who hear the music. You should see my Instagram DMs, you know, all these questions. It's, it's a beautiful thing. And I have a template message. Because I get like the same question. So I just like, answer them with that. And just to give them as many people the information as soon as possible. I refer them to Medical Medium, and, and the books and all that. And it's just amazing information. I'm blessed to have come across it.

Kerstin Ramstrom:

Yeah, I noticed on your Instagram, too, you have this completely adorable video with, I believe it's your sister and your niece.

Tivon Pennicott:

Yeah, yeah.

Kerstin Ramstrom:

And you're listening to the song on the radio in the car. And your niece has made up some words to it.

Tivon Pennicott:

Yes, exactly. It's amazing. Like, I wasn't there, because I'm in New York, they're in Georgia. But my sister was videotaping. And they're, they're extremely musical as well. And they know my passion about celery juice, my whole family does. They kind of make fun of me at the same time because it's just different. But when I get them to drink it my niece she's like, Oh, I hate the taste of it, Uncle T. I'm like, hey, drink your celery juice. And it's doing so much for them. And they might not realize it because they're healthy, that they they're drinking it and they're learning the benefits of it. But you know, when it was playing? They're so musical they just say, Where are the words, you know, where the words to this song. So they made up their own words, which I think is is adorable, and I thought it was extremely creative. 'Celery juice is good for you. It's so good. So good for you. celery juice...' and I'm like man, I need to put that there. I need to add that as an official lyric. Because it's perfect.

Kerstin Ramstrom:

I loved it. It's such an adorable video. I'm so glad that your sister caught it on camera.

Tivon Pennicott:

I know, right?

Kerstin Ramstrom:

And that's on your Instagram account. It's at@Tivon_Bzz. That's awesome. And you also have a lot of other music up there, for anybody who wants to check that out. I have listened to your album, Spirit Garden. It's beautiful.

Tivon Pennicott:

Thank you, thank you, I want to eventually merge my music with healing sounds. And also, I know that my calling in general is healing. And that's what I've been focusing on with my music in order to write my music intentionally, so that I can hel people to.... like kind of mor like music therapy, you know, as music therapy. And with th s experience of learning ab ut the foods that we take, the w llness and merging that with t e music, I feel like there's s mething there for me, for what need to kind of express to the eople. And so that's what I've een doing with the Spirit arden. It's kind of a ombination of community and hysical wellness and holistic ea ing sound and how that af ects your emotion. That's my ne journey right now. That's wh t I'm working on.

Kerstin Ramstrom:

I think that's so beautiful. And I'm so looking forward to seeing more of your work as this unfolds. Because I think the world needs more of this. We need more of this. And I know that our community is certainly the place that appreciates that. I can't say necessarily more than anybody else, but I know that it it is much appreciated in this community.

Tivon Pennicott:

Yeah, yeah. I mean, this community, it's like communion of human spirits, you know, you can collaborate and be nourished and heal and give each other hope. Like through positivity. It's like a, it's a direct reflection of fruits in a garden, and the fruit of the Spirit. You know, I think that's a beautiful thing. And I'm so glad to be a part of the community.

Kerstin Ramstrom:

I think that's so well put, I love that. So where can people find you on social media?

Tivon Pennicott:

So Instagram is@Tivon_Bzz and that's the same with Twitter. I have a Facebook fan page as well. And I do a little bit of additional content, more personal content on there. And my website has all my music, it's TivonPennicott.com. It has all my my shows, when I'm performing, and music that I've been on, and other people's music, kind of what my whole concept is with what I'm trying to do, and news about where I'll be, and what I've done. And newspaper ads and articles and all that stuff. So you can learn a lot if you desire for my website.

Kerstin Ramstrom:

Awesome. And now you mentioned this briefly, but I'm wondering if that's where you find this. You said you've been making celery juice t shirts. I need to know more

Tivon Pennicott:

Ah ha, I do. I have celery juice t shirts. So about this. it's all on my website at TivonPennicott.com/shop. I have Spirit Garden t shirts, Spring Storm t shirts and Celery Juice t shirts. I encourage anyone who gets the celery juice t shirt.... I have.... I wrote something about it. Celery juice is a gift from God. The benefits of drinking 16 ounces of pure celery juice on an empty stomach has changed so many lives drastically. By supporting and wearing this T shirt, you understand that health is wealt. And that the music and m ssage is meant for healing. So y u want, you can represent and spread the word about our healing journey and my healing music. So that's kind of the vibe for that.

Kerstin Ramstrom:

Awesome. I just love that. Tivon, than you so much for being on. This has been such a pleasure to conn ct with you this way and I can' wait to listen to your musi more. I love your Spirit Gard n album, it is just beautiful. nd I'm looking forward to what ou do next.
