Greetings family. An Arizona man will spend his life in prison for murdering his ex-girlfriend, setting her body on fire and abandoning her seven-month-old baby on the side of a road. Now, the beautiful young sister you see in this picture here is Jasmine Dunbar. Her and her ex-boyfriend, anton Ware, were on the road heading to take a paternity test near Phoenix, arizona, in March of 2018, which is the time that she was last seen. A couple later found her seven-month-old child in a car seat on the side of the road, with Dunbar's ID and other belongings. Dunbar's child remains were found a day later, about three miles from where the child had been rescued. Phoenix police and the Arizona Republic, as well as ABC 15, reported that Dunbar must have been beaten to death by Ware and then he set her body on fire. Ware has since pleaded guilty to first degree felony murder and endangerment. Ware has since pleaded guilty to first-degree felony murder and endangerment.
Speaker 1:A GoFundMe campaign has been set up following her killing, and Jasmine is remembered as a sweet and struggling new mom. The fundraiser aimed to assist Jasmine's mother with funeral expenses, as well as assisting the infant's care, especially given the bereaved mother's own health issues. Jasmine's mother has many health challenges that make her financial situation very difficult but has raised her kids to give it themselves and serve the community with what they have. This is a very tragic story, y'all, and us as parents. This is something that you would never want to experience at all. So my prayers go out to her family, as well as to everybody whose lives that she had an effect on. You know she looked like she was a pleasant young lady and you know we have to be aware of who our children are dealing with. You know and when I say children, you know even if they're grown, they're still your kids. You still have to be aware of what's going on. So, you know, if you see different things, different signs in a person, it's good to point these things out. Unfortunately, it was too late for this young lady, but it does look like justice was served in terms of you know where getting his, you know sentencing and all Not sure exactly what the sentencing will be and to just know that he pled guilty to the charges that was given to him.
Speaker 1:Again, not an uncommon story. These things happen often, unfortunately. So if you are experiencing any domestic violence, please call the National Domestic Violence Hotline at 1-800-799-7233 or go to thehotlineorg. That's thehotlineorg. And remember that all calls are toll-free and confidential. The hotline is available 24-7 in more than 170 languages. Also, if you suspect child abuse, call the Child Help National Child Abuse Hotline at 1-800-4-A-CHILD or 1-800-422-4453, or go to wwwchildhelporg. All calls are toll-free and confidential. The hotline is available 24-7 and in more than 170 languages. So if you see something, say something. As parents. That's what we should do. Unfortunately, this young lady is no longer here. Again, prayers to her mother, who's going through health issues and having to care for her infant child, you know, and all the lives that she affected, and again today, them tomorrow could be any one of us. So please be aware of who your kids are dealing with. With that being said, I say to you peace.
