Let's connect.
I am cheering for you!
Hey friends, once again, I'm gonna be sharing a conversation with my friend Whitney Vance, where we talk about how we find value in inspiring leaders like Gabby Bernstein and looking to scripture for our power thoughts, and the connection that happens when we can put the power thought and scripture and creativity altogether. I hope you enjoy our conversation. Welcome to the Live A Vibrant Life podcast. I'm life coach Kelly Tibbitts and each week I'll be here to encourage and equip you with the tools you need to grow in self-awareness and invest your best energy in your dreams and your purpose. I believe self-awareness changes everything. Let's get started. We're gonna have a conversation about what we are learning as students of manifesting thoughts and scripture. This card said, every time I choose to tune into spirit, the guidance of the highest truth shows up for me. I like the amplified Bible because it expands on words. Our English language is often very limited compared to the Hebrew or the Greek. The amplified version. Says, be still and know recognize and understand, be still and know or recognize, understand that I'm God. Mm-hmm. God is God. There are things that God is going take care of and those are not all mine. Yes. By the act of you being still, you are in that moment saying, I trust you. I trust that you're handling everything else right now that I could be worrying about, about doing. Yeah. I love that. That's what trusting, tuning into the highest truth is showing up for me. I loved, Shrinking the TV show and one of the characters always said out loud, everything is working out for me. That's what I think Faith says out loud. Yes, yes. Everything is working out for me. Be still and know God is God. We are not. That's the narrow road. We're not saying there's no purpose for you and I'cause God is doing everything AND we're not saying it's all on my shoulders. Right. Live and act from a place of spiritual alignment. Anything that makes you clear that you're in a place of spiritual alignment. Sometimes I'm not clear if I'm in spiritual alignment. I just have to keep doing my daily practices. I have to keep going back to prayer, I have to go back to centering. I don't think it's always clear to us if we are in alignment or not. I think we just have to trust that in those sticky places. Yeah, because there's a difference between faith and sight and I think trust is over there with faith. But one thing that I think you and I have been talking about off of this podcast is the idea of there's certain aligning values that help us know whether we're on the right path or not on the right path. And for me, trying to stay in a calm and connected energy. Mm-hmm. And you are noticing creativity. Creativity, yeah. Yes. Is a way for you to notice. Yeah, if I am not in a creative flow, I am trying to be productive and doing in my own strength, and that is not aligned. I'm not here to control everything, so it's kind of interesting. We may not always know if we're in alignment, but we can almost always identify when we're out of it. Yeah, true. Yes. And so just to be aware that I can trust that everything is working out for me even when I don't know when or how it will happen. One of the ways that you and I grow in our trust is noticing of over and over again. Maybe it's a word, maybe it's somebody calling us, maybe it's a card you get in the mail Your brain notices over and over. Okay. Here's another little way to remember, and here's another way to remember. Yeah. that makes me think of Proverbs three six, where it says, in all your ways, acknowledge him and he will direct your path. Yeah. You and I believe God is actually in front of us and behind us and beside us and with us. We're not alone. Right. Yes. We just don't always know the when or the how. Which really isn't for us to know. Right. Right. I mean, I've heard many people talk about this. You kind of notice it when you look backwards. Yeah, absolutely. When you're in the middle of it, you just have to keep showing up and you just have to keep doing the things that work for you. Creativity, calmness, prayer, meditation, those practices. And then when you get on the other side of it, you can look back and say, wow, like it really was working out. It's not only trust in him and everything's working out. You keep doing the work. Keep showing up. Yes, and that's where I think community matters. Yes. Yes, absolutely. Because you and I connecting Okay, we're, we're sort of on the same plane. We're at the same vibration. Yeah. Of we see both this thing that when I was younger, people would say, stay away from That's new age. Yeah. And I'm like, or, or it's just more wisdom. Or it's just another tool he's using to communicate with us. You know, like a Gabby card saying the same thing as your Bible verse of the day, it's just another tool for him to be communicating with you. I agree. And that's, this podcast is for people who get that part, right? Yes. And feel like I want both, right? I'm still looking for a third way. Correct. And if you're showing up in your alignment and in the place of, light and of Him, you're, gonna receive that. You are trusting he's gonna communicate with you by how and where you're showing up. Gabby Bernstein cards have a power thought on them. And when I pulled that card the word that it came to the top for me is grateful. When I'm grateful for what I have, I can feel good along the way to what I desire. When I'm grateful for what I have, I can feel good along the way. I think we can show up in gratitude. I think gratitude is huge. Before I start my day, what do I already feel grateful for? It was, a day when the sun was shining, the birds were singing. My girls were together. I and I had a little bit of an insight of, I've been wanting to create a company since 2018. Taking these small steps, I think, in the right direction. And it's easy for my brain to be like, but this person over there made$700,000 and this person over here makes$5 million. Yeah. Gratitude says, you know what? I've had enough. I've had enough love, I've had enough money, I've had enough energy. And when I stay in gratitude, I do feel good along the way. What do you think about showing up and gratitude and how important that is as we are people who are growing in our trust? I am a hundred percent here for gratitude. I think it helps you in your daily life, but I think all throughout the Bible like it, it's in there, you know, give thanks, give praise. Think that is one of our guiding lights that we are meant to be doing. I, I think we're supposed to be in a place of thankfulness. And gratefulness instead of in a place of that lack and scarcity and you know, negative, like whatever. Sometimes we can look at other people and they're making$5 million. I should build websites too. They're making good money, but that's not the plan and the purpose that he has for us. Instead, if we just sit in the place of like, grateful that I'm a creative artist and I can create art and pursue that, then. I think our life would be so much more aligned. But we get twisted and not focus on gratitude for the gifts that he has given us and what we actually have. I think social media makes it hard sometimes. Oh, absolutely. Yeah, because sometimes all you see is the highs rather than the highs and the lows and the average of people's day. Sometimes you just see the high marks. Yeah. I love that reminder. Scripture says, for us to give thanks. I don't know how many exactly, but there is like verse after verse after verse about, giving thanks. One of the verses that I thought kind of went with gratitude as well is Galatians chapter six, verses four and five. It says, pay careful attention to your own work, for then you will get the satisfaction of a job well done, and you won't need to compare yourself to anyone else. Yeah, we're each responsible for our own conduct, and that's what you said, like, Hey, I can create websites and I could be doing that. And I don't think that's mine right now. I think mine is to be a creative artist. So pay careful attention to your own work and get your satisfaction, your gratitude, your joy from your well done work. That has been a huge part of my self-growth because as an Enneagram too, I'm very compliant energy. I tend to look outside myself. What do you think and what do you think? And a lot of my joy these days comes from the fact that I am my best supporter. I am the one who finds something to be grateful for. I don't need someone else, right? I'm not looking for people with empty cups to fill my cup anymore. Yeah, I love that, and I totally can relate to that. I feel like a lot of times we go outside of ourselves to other people and other things, but really whenever we're focusing on, I. It's not necessarily that we're coming from a place of selfishness. Yeah. When you focus on, I, you're coming from a place of more of alignment with how you were created, with your path and your purpose and what you were made. But we oftentimes wanna go into selfishness instead of just trusting, no, this is who I am, this is what he's called me to. This is my path. Next was, the word tune. You and I met through Cathy Heller and one of the examples she shared about resonance is if you have a guitar and you strum the"C' and there's a guitar next to it. What happens when that guitar strums the"C"? The other chord starts vibrating. The other guitarist chord starts vibrating in a"c". It's the law of resonance. So I think we all learn the law of gravity, but we don't necessarily learn that law of resonance. Right. And I think part of what connected us, I live in New Hampshire. You live in in Oklahoma. Yeah. But there was a resonance. Yeah, because we have both a connection to Christ and a connection to the work that we think is working for us, right? Mm-hmm. So to the Gabby Bernstein card for Tune said, each time I choose to tune in to the Spirit, and I would say the Holy Spirit, the guidance of the highest truth shows up for me every time I choose to tune in. Yeah, guidance shows up for me. Has that ever happened to you before? I think this experience of us deciding to do this podcast and for me to start intentionally seeing, when I pick a card and there's a power thought. Is it showing up anywhere else? And it's immediately, immediately, yeah. Showing up in scripture for me, there's this attunement, this resonance, right. Anything you notice about that idea? I think that is so true. And I love that example of the two guitars. And I think that a lot of times we have been raised to think you can tune through prayer or going to church on Sunday and Wednesday, like a lot of times tuning has been so limited to church. Yes but honestly, when, when we are having a conversation that we're having right now, we're tuning. When you are showing up in all these places in the world and you know, doing all of the things you are tuning. sometimes I feel like we miss that. I feel like there's so many messages and there's so much growth and there's so much support and, direction on our path that would make our lives easier if we would just look at what we're doing. I grew up believing that. Right. I grew up believing there was a priest or a pastor. Yep. And they were the ones who heard from God. And so I had to go into a church building to hear from God. Yep. Yeah. Instead of we're priesthood of believers. And so even as you were describing that, I'm picturing in Proverbs, it's like, trust in the Lord with your heart. Don't lean on your understanding, but in your ways, acknowledge him and he'll direct your path. There's a tuning. Yeah. Yes. To connecting with him and he's then directing your path. Yeah. One of the ways that I tune is to try to remember has God taught me anything already? I can't think of anyone more weary than a mom raising children. It's exhausting. It's, it's exhausting, it's emotional energy and physical energy. Mm-hmm. And my very first word of the year when I started doing this word of the Year practice was the word wisdom. My daughter bought me a whole set of cards about wisdom, that she wanted me to know she saw in me. Yeah. and this is the, centerpiece of why I wanna be a spiritual life coach. Right. Mm. God gave me some words of wisdom so that I may know what I should say to all the weary ones. Morning by morning, he awakens me and opens my understanding to his will. That's something that I'm growing in. Yeah. And it is beautiful. We wanted to create this podcast because we think that if people took just a couple minutes a day Yeah. And they don't even have to go buy the card or get a new Bible. Yeah. We'll hand it to you on a platter, like a little tiny bite for the day... here's a power thought, and here's a verse, and then maybe take five minutes and do something creative. I hope you enjoyed this episode. I look forward to talking again next week. Thank you for joining the Live A Vibrant Life podcast.
