Show Notes

Alexander the Great's Mother, Olympia, had a cousin. Olympia's Cousin had a child named... Pyrrhus, and when this young man grew up, he took up the torch of his ancestors and began conquering his neighbors. He is known to history as Pyrrhus of Epirus and also the Last Diadochi. Only this young Macedonian took his army in a different direction. Instead of conquering other Greeks, he set his eyes West... to the Italian Peninsula.

The History of Modern Greece covers the events of the Greek People from the fall of Constantinople in 1453 to the Greek War of Independence in 1821-1832, all the way through to the Greco-Turkish War from 1919 to 1922.
