Show Notes

The Huns originated in the Eurasian steppe lands north of China. They invaded the Chinese dynasties several times before they were expelled from the region and forced to migrate West. After several centuries these nomads made it to the Borders of the Roman Empire, where they wreaked havoc for decades.

The History of Modern Greece covers the events of the Greek People from the fall of Constantinople in 1453 to the Greek War of Independence in 1821-1832, all the way through to the Greco-Turkish War from 1919 to 1922.

If you enjoyed this episode, where we dove into the history of the Huns and their origins in the Far East, and would like to know more about events in that region, I strongly suggest checking out the History of China Podcast by Chris Stewart. There are currently over 200 episodes on the history of China, and they are one of our favorite podcasts.
