After Will became very ill with a fever, he and Henry and Beanpole were taken in by the Comte and Comtesse of the Castle of the Red Tower. Their beautiful daughter, Eloise, becomes Will’s special friend. For the first time, Will has second thoughts about his trek to the White Mountains. Is it really so important to live a free life? Certainly life in the Château de la Tour Rouge is pleasant and alluring. Will has a hard decision to make.
