Welcome to Stories Come to Life. I am your host, Kathryn Lopez Luker. In today’s chapters of A Little Princess, Sara is finally able to meet Becky, the little scullery maid who makes her fire and loves to quietly listen to the amazing stories that Sara spins. When Sara finds Becky fast asleep in her easy chair, she realizes she has an opportunity to scatter a form of largess, just as a princess would do, by being kind and loving to those who need those good things in their lives. This gives Sara a wonderful idea: she will pretend that she is a princess so that she can teach herself to act like one.
