KeithAppling

Born Feb. 13,1992

OTIS # 390955

• Keith grew up in Detroit graduating from Pershing High School.

• Keith was a basketball player and not your average im-going-to-play- for - extracurricular activity

either.

• The kid was good, damn good from the get-go.

-as a junior in High School, he took his team to the class A championship.

◦ Not only did his excellent playing led to the championships... but during that championship game he set a MHSAA record by scoring 49 points (the previous title holder held 47)

• Heading into his senior year at Pershing he received a Mr Basketball award and by the end of his season he was ranked 34ᵗʰ in the recruiting services consensus)

• By the time Keith graduated, he high level recruit, was a ◦ He was even chosen to play in the McDonald's All American boys game In 2010.

• MCD s game recruited the best in the United high school players states to play,

• Needless to say, he had a head start the moment that he graduated.

 • Keith opted to play basketball for MSU.

 • There are a bunch of college b- ball stats that I can rattle off but i shall not. He seemed to be playing well in college too.

*Here is a clip from a former MSU team mate, Draymond Green

• Keith had enough skill and talent to allow him to keep playing the game.

• Despite the hype behind his recruitment status, nobody picked him.

That had to be a bit of a harsh reality bite.

•• So he played forth the Portland Trail Blazers for their 2014 Summer league.

September in the fall of 2014 he signed on with the Los Angeles Lakers but by Oct-20 he was waived.

to play.

"waived" in basketball means:

Then the bouncing around started.

- Los Angeles D- Fenders

- Ernie BayHawks

• Out of 38 games between the teams Appling averaged 10.5 points, 3. 0 rebounds, 3.9 assists in 24.4 minutes per game

• Sounds like excellent stats to me, what do I know?

• Those teams were like "B" teams I believe. So in January 18, 2016 Appling signed a 10 day contract with Orlando Magic

• Again on January 29 another 10 day contract with The Orlando Magic playing at the Orland Magic Amway Center

** •Let us make a little connection for you.  RDV stands for Richard De Vos, as in DICK DeVos the Amway Devos family…. In fact, the arena down there is called Amway

-On the same day that he signed his second contract to play with Orlando he was named in the East all star team for the 2016 nba D-league game.

Then his stupid 10 day contract w/ Orlando Magic expired. So on Feb. 8 2017 the Bay Hawks picked him back up to finish the season.

• Appling took a couple of years off from playing D- league basketball because HE WAS IN JAIL.

• Appling had put his minor league career on the line because he was packin!

Not only was he busted with a concealed weapon but also for resisting arrest.

• He was sentenced to 1 year in jail and 4 Years probation.

• In 2018 he joyously went back to playing basketball

. • The frst team he signed with after jail was Cañeros del Este. translation

• Just like in America it appears he was tossed around teams. He joined the Abejas de Lein of the Mexican league.

• Hamdard of 2019 he signed on with Pallacanestro Piacentina in Italy.

• It kind of sounds like the mob is him around like a hot just throwing potatoes!!!

. To wrap up his career, while he never made it to notable name status. He was a damn good player.

 • Mr. Basketball of MI 2010

• 3rd team Parade All American 2010

• McDonalds All American 2010

• 3rd team All Big Ten 2012

• 2nd team All Big Ten 2013

 • NBA D League All- star 2013

• NBA D League All Defensive Team 2016

Let’s talk about his other career:  His criminal career

• In March 2017 he had spent 1 yr in jail for concealed weapons & resisting arrest charges.

• in February of 2020, when Appling was just 28 years of age, he was again arrested.

• According to the Detroit free Press he was pulled over due to weaving in and out of lanes

• head back, eyes closed weaving through the traffic. Yeah bitch, he’s drastic.

• Police officer Bill Dwyer confirmed that Appling was sweating & unsteady.

 • Upon searching the car, a golf-ball sized amount of heroin, 19 grams was found

• Bad Appling was charged with driving without a license and delivery/manufacturing of less than 50 grams of a controlled substance.

 •He was released on  bond.

• Back in court again, Bad Appling pled guilty and was sentenced to 18 months PROBATION.

• Conditions of said probation were as follows:

 I. He is to consume zero drugs or alcohol.

2. He must be employed at least 30 hours a week.

3. Undergo outpatient or residential treatment.

4. His license suspended for 6 months (restricted after 30 days for employment and probation)

6. He has to pay court fee's & fines.

• Yeah so... despite previous charges he basically walks.

 • This is an on- going sport problem. It drives me crazy

• It's not too long after that situation Feb 2020 - Aug 2021 probation ends

• May of 2021 approximated 3 months prior to his probation period ending Keith Badappling was driven by his girlfriend, Natalie Bannister to a family members house.

• The family memer was Clyde Edmonds and he was only 66 years old.

•Keith was related to him by marriage, basically, as Clyde’s wife and Keiths mom were first cousins.

•While visiting Clyde, the two started arguing over a hand gun.  Keith shot at Clyde numerous times.

•After shooting him, he and Natalie just jumped in her car and took off literally leaving Clyde sprawled on his front yard riddled with gunshot wounds.

• Police arrived after getting a shots fired call

I must mention, that in the video of the scene…there was a lonely, single shoe in the road!  WTF, did Bad Appling blow his shoe while running?  Was it Clyde’s shoe?   WHY with the shoes.

 • The ambulance Rushed him to the hospital where Mr Clayton, succumbed to his gunshot wounds.

•Keith Appling had killed his mothers first cousin.

• Keith & Natalie fled I have no idea where they went.  Probably an abandoned home on the East Side, they are a popular place to hang if you murder.

• Apparently, it didn't take police long to track them down. I could not find much about that part.

 • I did find out that initially the girl, Natalie, fibbed a bit about her involvement in the situation.

Resides at:

• Pled guilty to lying to police.

•Sentenced to a mere 18 months.... for aiding and abetting a MURDERER.

• Natalie is now out on probation. Hopefully doing well and living a healthier life.

Born in 1992, she is currently only 31 years old.  I wish her well.  I really do.

• Keith, Keith bad Appling was Arrested in June 2021.

• He pulled all kinds of shit up to trial and at sentencing. I think I even read somewhere that he absconded from the law, but I couldn’t find it again to quote it to save my life…maybe I didn’t read that at all.

• In Feb of 2023 Keith pled guilty to 2nd degree murder and firearm charges.

• He was scheduled to hit the trial the week he finally pled..-the week of Valentine's Day. ❤

• The sentencing agreement allows Bad Appling to serve time for the felony firearm charge during the sentence for murder.

 ◦ Those sentences... Were scheduled for March 3, 2023

• Friday. March 3. 2023 the sentencing began.

• Bad Appling gets to the court room and after the judge talks minute, basically giving the amount of time he could- be sentenced to.

 • Appling stands up and says, “I would like to withdraw my plea of 2nd degree murder, your honor. I didn't fully understand the plea at the time, and I didn't have enough time to really go through and get a better understanding of what I was agreeing to."

The judge quickly retorts with," I don't want to think the worst of you or the people that represent you but it certainly appears to me that your motion to withdraw your plea is nothing more than a ploy to try to delay the inevitable."

 • The judge also said there was a disturbing aura around the case.

 • Keith Bad Appling was sentenced to 18-40 years in ummm the reception and guidance area.   JAIL…it’s freaking jail.

• statements were made that Bad Applings decline started when he returned to Detroit... like when his career was over?  I mean, it makes sense, plus what else are you going to do in Detroit?  I kid, I kid.

• It was also said it was a sad and disappointing to watch the disappointing spiral of someone with a bright future.

 • I think that I read he was academically smart... not like most sports players. I mean, who makes it to that level.

 • Doesn't seem like much to us, but shit

• Dude played with a few good teams. Just didn't quite have what it took to go pro.

 • It's definitely a sad story but he’s not the first & will not be the last jock to do such a thing. If the glove fits. …
