Michigan Murders & Music
Our podcast is about murders and mayhem in Michigan. We will go through the cities, lakes, swamps, the 'back 40', and all over the Great Lakes State discussing a plethora of murders. We will include interesting stories that may not lead to murder but are just plain weird. Homicides, domestic abuse awareness cases, stabbings, missing people and cold cases. Our stories will describe as little of the victims side as possible. We believe the families have already been through enough. But we will definitely be mocking the murderer, the bad guy....the one who may or may not deserve it. Consider us your comedic crime duo. It's as though we are sitting in a living room, talking true crime with you.
We have an amazing music scene. Michigan has brought us many greats like Iggy Pop, Madonna, Stevie Wonder, Eminem, Alice Cooper and SO many more. Music brought Your Highness and Boot together, Roger that! Boot is a musician and plays bass. We love our local music scene and want to support all of them. So we will end each story with a little local music, leaving you with a happy ending, and on a good note!

DeAngelo Martin following in Momma's footsteps featuring Barrel Bones
DeAngelo Martin was a young man when his mom went to prison. He didn't have the best start to life, which is never an excuse. Listen up to how DeAngelo followed in his Mom's footsteps. He just became Detroit's East Side Serial Killer...a boring one, but a serial killer none the less.

1. DeAngelo Martin was born and raised in Detroit on May 30 1985.
2. At the young age of 14, he was left to be raised by his father and of her family members because his mom is Chantirele B from the last episode.
3. DeAngelo, despite getting involved in criminal activity at a young age, graduated from Kettering His.
4. Feb-262018,around 4:30 in the afternoon. a homeless man was seen on cctv dragging a body out to the side walk
He flagged down the cops.
5. The body was that of 57 yr. old Annette Nelson.
6. She had been raped & strangled to death.left face down, with 1 leg posed up with a single sock left on
Cor. no, ruled he, death from blunt f- a tri uma
7. The man, who was homeless, was originally charged for her murder until the CCTV cleared him.
The woman’s family would later thank him for finding her.
8. Rumors were going around that there was a serial killer on the East side of Detroit. Police literally dismissed these rumors. They said, “There is false information circulation.”
8. March 19, 2019 the lifeless body of 52 yr old Nancy Harrison was found in another abandoned home. Posed the exact same way. This body was found by a man going in to smoke weed.
She had also been Killed b- blunt force
9.. May 24, 2019 the body of 52 yr old Travesyn Ellis was found decomposing in yet another Detroit abandoned home
Check her name!Cops responded to an anonymous dead body call.
11. May 6, 2019 he met a 26 yr old at a drug house, invited her home with him. onlys .0h1. De-1 gio lived with his grandparents at the time./
12. When the victim fought back after being raped AND stabbed by him, she was able to get grandma's attention. Grannie calls the cops- he escapes, she lives!
13. Now DeAngelo is a wanted man for assult and attempted rape.
14. June 3 2019 DeAngelo again attempts to rape & stab a woman. She manages to stab him back numerous times.
She survives by jumping out a window.
15. That night he instead DeAngelo raped killed 55 yr old Tamara Jones leaving her to be found, decomposing in yet another Detroit abandonded building.
16. He took the time to pose every victim the same. Face down,with one leg bent at the knee and the socked foot up in the air.
She was discovered on June 5,2019.

18 Even more brazenly... maybe disgustingly he left his nasty used condom IN each victim. Seriously…D N A ! What is he thinking?
20. That is when he is charged with the crime from the 1ˢᵗ young lady that grannie helped save.
21. For the attack on May 6 he was charged with assult and attempted murder.
22. The 2nd woman who jumped out the window to save her own life - also identified DeAngelo as her attacker and testified.
23. With the information from the two survivors, police were starting and able to make a connection to other cases on the East side of Detroit that matched this motive.
24. De Angelo's blood & saliva were taken for DNA samples. These samples linked him to the 4 mentioned murders above.
25. Having already 3 bodies, all left in the same manner in abandoned homes, the sock, the posing, the condoms left behind, cops had a big big job ahead of them.
27. They went on to search approximately 3,000 abandonded homes on the East side, when they found the 4th body.
28. Besides the murders above, he was suspected in more.
29. In December of 2018 DeAngelo was seen with Miss Deborah Reynolds.
30. Deborah was last seen at a 7-11 with DeAngelo. Her body was discovered on an abandoned home in Late Dec. 42018
31. De Angelo was arrested June 7 2019 at a Detroit bus stop.
31. De Angelo's lawyers of course sent him for a psch-eval. of which he passed as SANE.
32. Now DeAngelo is going to court and charged for his wrong doings.
33. De Angelos trial began on Aug. 20, 2020.Preceded by Judy Regina Thomas. at the 36thi district court in Downtown Detroit. By the next month, DeAngelo would accept a plea deal.
34. The deal was he plead guilty to 4 counts of murder and two counts of rape. Instead of life in prison, he would receive 45 - 70 years.
35. De Angelo took the plea deal and in return he would tell the story of each murder. They were all close to the same.
36. With Miss Annette Nelson, he lured her to an abandoned place on Winthrop street.
37. MARCH 2099 he met Miss Nancy Harrison. After they did drugs together, De Angelo was able to lure her to yet another abandonded home where he raped her and then he basically hit her in the head so hard, she died..
38. April 2019 just one month later. He raped and murdered Miss Travesyn Ellis after luring her to an abandonded home.
39. May 6 2019 is when he brought home to young woman to his Grandma's house.She is the/sort who escaped his wrath and also helped catch him.
40. June 2, 2019 is when he dragged the woman into an abandonded house she jumped. She luckily survived and was the 2nd brave woman to help bring this killer to light.
41. June 3 2019 is also the day that 55 yr old Miss Tamara Jones was murdered.
42. It wasn't until June 7 2019 that he was finally stopped.
43. When you look at the timeline it appears there was a year between his first victim and the next.
44. But then he hits the East side March, April, May & June. 2019,
45. I'm willing to bet there were more they were unable to link to De Angelo. Because he's posing the bodies and doing pro level murder shit. They tend not to just start that way.
46. He targeted woman who were down on their luck or working the street giving him "easy" access to woman.
47. After his arrest, the trial began. At first he wasn’t going to plead guilty…then he did.
48. One of the testimonies made a big difference, that of DeAngelo’s ex girlfriend. She would go on stand and testify that when in their relationship, if she didn’t do what he asked of her…she would be raped and he would choke her. The cherry on top: DeAngelo had admitted to her that he killed a woman.
49. She is amazing and I love her, all of these ladies, I just love.
50. October 6, 2022 DeAngelo was finally sentenced for the crimes he committed, for the families that he tore apart.
He will serve 45-70 years for murdering the 4 woman of Detroit.
His earliest release date is October 4, 2089.
Family members were able to confront DeAngelo at this time, and as always, they are a heartbreaker to watch and hear. They have all been through major devistation with the loss of these ladies.
DeAngelo himself spoke but who cares what he said.
DeAngelo is in prison. He has 12 active and inactive charges against him.
Homicide/Murder 2nd degree. 4 counts
Assult with intent to committ sexual beneptration.
Assult with intent to committ great bodily harm less murder or by strangulation.
Kidnapping…..Stolen Property….Concealing Stolen Vehicle….
Criminal Sexual conduct 1st degree 4 counts.
Assult with intent to commit murder.
DeAngelo killed 4 people and any number above 2 is considered a serial killer. I am glad that he is off the streets of Detroit. I wonder if he and his mother write eachother from prison?

3 days after DeAngelo's arrest. yet another decomposing body was found.June 10 t' body of Miss Yvonne Colburn was found on Breitwoo-St. on the D's East side.- has been roll e- in a carpet He. c. use of death was also blunt force trauma.
