Medieval Man Brady Oestrike featuring Jacob Hoekwater

Brady Oestrike seemed to live a pretty normal life to most people.  He helped his friends, he was a hard worker....however, he had a really midieval dark side to him that we truly do not know how long he harbored.

Brady Oestrike

Wyoming, MI

• Brady born in 1982
• Grew up with 3 siblings
• Very religious family
• Even had to go to study at church camp in Montana worldness school of the bible.
• Haiti trips with his family and church
• Graduated:  …….
• His mother, described as 'protective', home -schooled her son with intermittent periods spent at various private schools. 
• He went on to take technical training before becoming a supervisor at a power company, earning a good enough salary to buy his first house in his early 20s.
• Brady eventually starts with a local MI electric company and is a lineman.
• Not like a football lineman….and electric line, lineman.
• It’s not unusual to come across people who are into this...but people ALWAYS view it as an unusual hobby.  Brady was into the Renaissance Era and Medieval times.  
•  Especially the tools of the time, swords,crossbows,metal helmets
• While his family said he was kind and gentle…
• Friends would say odd things.  Like, he hid knives around the house, always carried guns, etc.
• At one poinbt, while with roommates, Oestrike accidentally fired a Desert Eagle .50-caliber handgun while waving the gun. The stray bullet passed through a kitchen wall and hit Failing's car and smashed into the alternator.
• After two years both roommates left and Oestrike's behavior was becoming more and more strange. 
• He reportedly had bad body odor, left empty pizza boxes stacked up all over the house and was becoming increasingly paranoid - hiding tiny cameras inside of birdhouses throughout the home. 
• Met a woman at bible school, 2002 she described Brady as her teddy bear, I can see that.  Look at that belly.  
• He would end up dating her for seven years,  finally asking for her hand in marriage giving her a 30,000 ring.
• She also never said he didn’t have  any violent tendencies
• Engaged to be married in 2012, she called off the wedding one month before.
• She claims a mutual agreement to call it off happened however, She kept his 30g diamond sapphire ring he gave her.
• Friends and family said Brady was a kind, gentle soul.
• This woman from Canada took advantage of that.  He sent her money all of the time.  His savings & 401k ended up being depleted while with her.
• after the breakup he became deeply depressed
• In May 2014 an ad was read by Brady on Craigslist by a woman  who was looking for friendship
• He offered her a place to live, as she wanted to move...so she agreed!   
• She is, from what I can find, reported missing.
• He goes to her house, asks her to get in the suitcase:  Here is where I may assume that they have had previous sexual conversations.  Because she agrees to get in the gd suitcase.
• He stopped the car, opened the suitcase and sprayed something in there, that drugged her up.
• THat’s just weird.  The semantics seem off
• He gets her out of the car, takes her inside 
• She said his home was a shit hole and it took her two days to make it liveable
• She asks about all of the security cameras and he says he is paranoid.
• So he asks her to be his sex slave, but then kind of shows her his gun and the asking isn’t so polite. 
• She is shown the chains in the basement, she reluctantly agrees to be his sex slave.  
• Whenever he says go, she agrees with it.
• But if she says no he just rapes her.
• He basically used her for everything.  Cleaning,etc
• When he left for work, she was there chained to the floor, in the basement.
• This happened for about a month when she escaped to a local abuse shelter.
• Somehow...she stays in contact with Brady and he talks into coming back!
• She stays about another month, when Brady beats her badly.
• She escapes and went to the cops but did not press charges
• She DID make the cops aware of the fact that Brady had childrens stuff in his apartment.  Like sippy cups, books, etc.  He wasn’t a father nor hung around people with kids. Which I don’t think they did anything about, nor could they, really.
• Time goes by a bit...
• July 2, 2014 a young, pregnant lady, Brook made a post on craigslist stating she needed $50 by 3:30 p.m. today.  I can pay you back later tonight but I need some gas and some mess quick!  Everyone has bronchitis at my house and I do not want to get sick.  I am 8 months pregnant and my lungs are all squished as is.  If you could help, me and my daughter would greatly appreciate it.
• It was said that she would often post bang for cash!
• Family claimed she was a victim of 25 year old Charlie Openeer who was pimping her out.
• We really don’t know.  She could have been willing and just didn’t want to tell her parents.  Either way, it was happening.  I’m not judging that at all.
• At one point she posted that she was looking for a girlfriend or a friend with benefits because her boyfriend is into this weird open relationship stuff.
• 10 days AFTER she posted that she needed cash THAT DAY, Brady Oestridick comes across this message as he is wallowing in his filth and grief from the recent breakup.
• His username on craigslist was:  Mike’s Hard 
• Mike’s Hard & Brooke start a conversation
• Brady stated to Brooke that he could host.  What are you thinking?  I’m 25.  ( he was 31)
• Brook replied with:  Umm, well we are looking for donations if possible.  Kinda in a tight spot and we have a baby on the way.  As far as the fun goes though there won’t be any male.
• Brady offers Brook 120.00 and says he can come get them.
• She replies with no we can travel we just can’t host it all.  When/where would you like to meet up?
• Boot, this ENTIRE CONVERSATION FREAKS ME OUT.
• Brady is all about it.  Asks if they can meet in a park around 11:30
• Brook is worried about indecent exposure or getting in trouble.
• Brady claims that there are never cops there (ummm, it’s wyoming, they are everywhere) and that the park is up along some woods and is private.
• She agrees to meet Brady at Gezon Park, Wyoming, MI  
• The young couple were never seen again.
•  July 12, 2014 Brook and Charles go missing.
•  July 13 a man calls 5-0 said a man w/white mask is peering into his car.
• Whilst checking for the masked man.. they find Charlie’s car looking abandoned so they started their ticket process with abandoned vehicles.
• As they checked back on the car in the following days, they did minor searches around the car.
• July 16, near the park, under a pile of sticks police find Charlie Oppeneer’s body.
• His head had been removed where he was killed.  However, they were not able to locate it.  
• They go to the couple’s apartment, Brook is still missing at this point.
• Computer work showed them the conversation between Mike’s Hard and Brook/Charlie, whoever was at the keyboard.
• During the 5 days of police trying desperately to put this case together, Brady is at his house, torturing Brook: 
•  he put her in handcuffs, wrapped a chain around her neck and hooked her arms up to a pulley system suspended from the ceiling.
• Remember, she is 8 months pregnant!!
• The cops were able to connect the craigslist post with an email, which connected to another email...which connected the dots and they found Mike’s Hard on Craigslist was also Jote Amos on facebook….whom was really Brady.
• Search warrant is asked for and they start watching his house on July 17
• Literally, just hours before they started their surveillance.   Brady was INSIDE committing the worst things you can imagine.
• On top of that, his cctv cameras that were all over inside his house, there was even one in the bathroom...caught the entire thing on film.
• I can’t fathom the poor people who had to be subjected to watching that video.
• Brady KNEW the cops were outside watching him.  
• Houses are tight in this neighborhood, it’s relatively easy to see your hood
• Plus, Brady is hearing news reports that Charles' body has been found in Gezon park.
• So, Brady hops into his car around 9:15 pm and races off and a high speed for Brady, not so high speed for the cops...have a chase down.
• He literally had enough time to crash his car, which he did by chucking over a few lanes and smashing into an overpass.
• He still has time to pull out a gun and shoot himself before the cops  made it to the car!
• Unfortunately, they found Brook and her sweet nearly fully developed baby inside a suitcase in the trunk of the car.
• The search of Brady’s home was nuts.
• police found multiple guns, weapons and restraints
• Loads of medieval memorabilia stuff.  Chain link gloves, etc.
• Plus, it was also dirtier than a pigs pen.
• In all, Brady kept Brook for 5 days of abuse and slavery.
• Brady made her make videos that stated she was a willing partner in this, that she wanted to experience a true abduction/kidnapping experience, willingly.
•  On some of the videos they show Brady forcing pregnant Brook to smoke pot.   
• In the basement, along with many torture devices
• they found a map with a few scattered pins, all across the us of a.
• There were 3 pins in west mi and 1 in detroit
• Police worried this could be a kill map so the fbi were brought in to help decipher the map
• During the kidnapping Brady even called a friend, whom he usually calls.  She states she really could not tell anything different about him at the time.  He just sounded normal.
• Brady was supposed to go to Vegas the day before his chase, but he had just killed a man and was holding a lady hostage...so I guess he cancelled his meeting in Vegas:  Which was to hook up with someone!!
• That someone in Vegas looked into him online, after he cancelled with her and learned the whole story!  Can you imagine?
• With that being said, it gives more thought about the map, doesn’t it?
• Apparently, the fbi came up with nothing from the map, though.  
• They followed up numerous online activities but could not find evidence that he had murdered more people.
• FIVE YEARS after the beheading of Charles, his final remains were found by a man in the woods looking for deer antlers about 20 minutes north of Wyoming in a 
• They discovered that Charles had been shot in the head before Brady removed it. 
• So, at some point during those 5 days...he had to drive north to dispose of the head.  OR maybe he brought it to work with him and hid it where he was working.
• Either way, Charles family can have a wee bit of peace knowing his body is complete and rests in peace.
• Sadly, we can not convict nor get any more information out of Brady because the bitch killed himself.  Took the shitty way out.
• He also took TWO young lives out.  Brook and baby Audi Lynn.
• I have to wonder if his strict christian background had anything to do with his opposite adult personality.  Like maybe he was rebelling but in a horrible way.  
• Also, there are literally hundreds of people that love medieval times, they go to the festivals, they collect things, etc.  It doesn't mean that THEY are evil.
• When do you know if what a friend says is just you know, bullshit talking.  For instance, one of his good friends said this about Brady:

• So, a person could take that either way.  I mean, yes it sounds psycho but if your playing a game of Dungeons & Dragons with friends...it wouldn’t sound like something so uncommon to say.
• That’s another aspect, he was homeschooled and very into D & D.
• D & D is great, just like anything else it can be taken to extremes.
• Homeschooling...NOPE.  I don’t like it.  People NEED to socialize.  They NEED to learn how to interact with other people.   You are just making a bunch of recluses.
