On a Monday night in Farmington Hills, who knew a family was being torn apart.
Literally, by aluminum baseball bats.   Tucker attacked and murdered some of his own family. 
Sometimes, you can do everything right and it all still goes very wrong.

1. Tucker Robert Cipriano was born on April 5, 1993
2. 4 days later, Bob & Rosemary Cipriano brought their first baby boy, whom they had just adopted, to their home in Farmington Hills.
3. By 2012 Bob & Rosemary had their complete family, with twins Tanner & Salvator and Isabella.
4. Bob was a public school administrator.  He was very involved with their community and an advocate for youth sports.
5. Rosemary was also very involved in their community and was a fitness instructor.
6. While their family by no means was perfect, they raised their children in the same Catholic manner that Bob was raised.  
7. The Cipriano kids were raised with love by caring and supportive parents.   They lived in an upscale neighborhood and didn’t really have any wants or needs that were not met.  
8. Tucker started showing signs of learning disabilities and behavior problems at a young age.
9. The Ciprianos did everything they could to help Tucker grow beyond these issues.
10. He was taken to therapy, counseling, special classes and even a private school.
11. According to friends, he felt he never fit in with his family.
12. He hated the fact that he was adopted
13. It seemed he just wasn’t as athletic or smart as his siblings were, so he felt.   He would often pick fights & antagonize his siblings.
14. This could be a case of nature vs. nurture.  Maybe his genetic makeup was just TOO different.
15. Going into his teen years, Tucker did not seem to grow out of his problems.  Nor did he seem to learn from all of the help that his parents gave him
16. Tucker would often steal from his family to buy drugs, he skipped school, started drinking, lying.  All of the things.
17. His parents would go through numerous interventions to attempt to help Tucker.  Rosemary even went to Al-Anon 
18. I didn’t know what Al-Anon was, it is a support place for people with alcoholic or drugged out family members or friends that helps YOU try to help THEM.
19. In December of 2011, Tucker at 18 years old was arrested on drug charges.  
20. Tucker would remain in jail until he was released on probation in February 2012.
21. After he was released, the Cipriano family were working the tough love program, would not allow Tucker to move back home.
22. Tucker was known as a nice respectable kid.
23. To his friends though, he would lie about his life all of the time.  He had stories about how bad his life was before he was adopted and probably even lied about the good life he actually had in Farmington Hills.
24. During this time, just after being paroled Tucker would sleep in a car or often an older friend would rent a motel room for Tucker and his friend, Mitchell Young,  where they would all party.
25. At the time, Tucker, his girlfriend Sofiya.. Mitchell and their friend Ian Zinderman hung out and partied together a lot.  The three of them often partied at the motel so hard, they were eventually asked to leave and not come back.
26. On April 5, 2012 Tucker skipped his probation meeting, full on knowing the consequences of doing so would mean jail.
27. Protocol is that the probation office is supposed to look for the subject for 2 days, then get a warrant for subjects arrest if he/she is not found.
28. Tucker’s probation officer did NOT follow protocol.  Eventually, he was let go of his duties.
29. Would things have gone different if this probation meeting had happened?  
30. Now, Tucker knows he is going to be in more trouble, plus he and his friends are running out of money for their party supplies.
31. Tucker, Ian and Mitchell come up with a plan to burglarize the Cipriano’s neighbors.  I’m not sure who had the idea but I am going to guess Tucker did.
32. They were also going to kill the family and sell the house.
33. In the meantime, they needed more spice.  
34. On April 5 the three drove to Cipriano’s house, they needed more money to get high.  
35. Ian helped Tucker to break into the garage by holding him up to the window.  
36. Tucker comes out a while later, with a bank card.
37. They go to the gas station to get some of their SPICE right away, also grabbing snacks and adding cash back as an option on the bank card.
38. They were going to do the same at another gas station but failed because the card was already flagged for suspicious activity.
39. Upon more drinking and partying the three realize that they just will not get enough money to accomplish their lofty goals:

        Drugs, alcohol and to get Tucker to Mexico to flee jail time!

1. They changed plans, to rob the Caprianos home and steal a car.
2. Ian says that it turned sinister and quickly Mitchell and Tucker were talking about killing Tucker's parents so he could get his inheritance money.  
3. This is when Ian backs out of joining them.  Apparently stating, “If you want to fuck up your own lives you can do it on your own accord.  Don’t bring me into it.”
4. Ian did however, hear enough to know what Tucker & Mitchell’s plan became.  He listened as the two divided up the tasks of killing Tucker's family.  Starting with the task of killing dad…
5. April 16, 2012 Tucker Capriano and Mitchell Young dressed in black with vinyl gloves on, broke into the Capriano home.
6. The dog let out a loud “intruder” bark, and Tucker took care of the dog.
7. Bob Capriano was waken by the dog barking so he went downstairs to see what’s up.
8. This is when Mitchell took an aluminum bat and hit Bob upon the head with it.  A few times.
9. Tucker actually held his father down while Mitchell was bludgeoning him to death.
10. Rose hears the commotion, notices Bob is not in bed and she also heads downstairs, straight into her husbands murder scene.
11. She was immediately bludgeoned by one of the intruders.
12. She ran and was able to get away momentarily and collapsed near the stairs.
13. NOW the youngest, 8 year old Isabella comes out and goes downstairs!  She literally see’s 2 men, covered in blood and her Mother looking dead on the floor.
14. Tucker, who had earlier decided that they just couldn’t kill Isabella, took her hand and led her back up the stairs.  
15. By the bedrooms, one of the twins, Salvator comes out of his room and see’s a man in black with his little sister.  
16. He starts fighting with the intruder (his brother) to get him away from Isabella.  Salvator manages to get Tucker down the stairs and away from Isabella.
17. Sadly, in the foyer, the intruder started beating Salvator, brutally until he also collapses.
18. Tanner, heard all of the yells and screams and he places a few 911 calls.  We would play them, but they are really hard to hear what he is saying and they are disturbing, as you can hear Isabella screaming in the background.
19. He ends up making 3 911 calls, however, police headed to their house after the first call.  
20. When they shine their flashlights into the windows on the side of the door, they literally landed on 8 year old Isabella standing, among blood and gore and bodies on the floor.
21. Just then, Mitchell runs by her running upstairs, knocking her down but she get’s back up and unlocks the door for the police.
22. Officers immediately scooped her up and got her out of the scene.
23. Tanner came downstairs and due to confusion of the situation, he was cuffed.  
24. Mitchell ran down next and he was caught and cuffed.  
25. Tucker took off in Mitchell’s truck went to their pad to clean up, he told Ian to go hide the truck while he cleans up.
26. To the police, at that moment, it appeared the  3 family members were dead.
27. Luckily, Salvatore and Rose were alive but barely breathing.
28. They both suffered from numerous skull fractures.
29. Bob was announced doa and we will not discuss the amount of harm this man took.
30. Rose and Salvator were rushed to the hospital and both immediately went into surgury.
31. It did not take long to find Tucker at the pad, they rolled up when Ian was trying to move the truck.
32. They were both arrested.
33. Mitchell was complaining of injuries, so he was also taken to the hospital, where he waived his miranda rights and said Tucker went crazy and started swinging.  He denied plans, he denies that he did anything.
34. Finally does admit that he hit Rose a few times.
35. DNA proved otherwise and he would be charged for murder.
36. Tucker and Mitchell pointed the finger at each other and Ian fessed up to being a part of the first 2 break in’s and then gave some damn good info to the cops and was granted immunity for his testimony against Tucker & Mitchell.
37. For weeks leading up to the trial, Tuckers uncle begged him to “Man up and accept your fate.”  He really tried to get this through to Tucker to not put the family through more stuff, especially baby Isabella.
38. Through many discussions with his uncle and loads of talking with his lawyer, Tucker did plea no contest or guilty.
39. Numerous times, both the judge and his lawyer asked him if he understood what he was doing.  At one point, his lawyer asked him if he was on any mind altering drugs….the little shit smirked for the first time and said, “no.”
40. Why does this make me nuts???  Because when he was on the stand, he claimed that he didn’t know what he was doing because he was on shrooms and K. 
41. Mitchell denied all along but the jury found him guilty of first degree murder of Bob Capriano.  Although, he would later appeal.  Mitchell currently resides at the Chippewa Correctional facility with a nice piratey patch on his eye.
42. Both kids pissed me off during trial.  Tucker looked like he was on ludes.  Mitchell seemed cocky and in denial.
43. Both assholes were sentenced to life in prison.
44. Later, Sofiya would say in an interview that she was only dating Tucker for a month and half before they were “ripped apart” by the murder of Tuckers father.
45. She says she loves Tucker and has a lot in common with him:  adoption, being homeless.  She continues to write and call him.
46. Sofiya:  “What attracted me most to him was that Tucker said he didn’t have a heart.  He actually carved into his body a heart, because he thought that maybe a new one would grow.  Because of just all the hurt and heart break he’s been through with his parents, his brothers, his friends.  He doesn’t have the best past relationships with anybody.  I got kicked out of my house because I was dating Tucker.  My dad said ‘you brought a murderer into my house’ because I was dating Tucker.  If I ever have kids, I wish my son would be as good as Tucker Cipriano.”
47. HOLY SHITballs  She is probably totally drawn to the tatto on his right hand that says “Shatt”
48. Now, Rose and Salvator were in surgury last we told you.  BOTH of them made it out alive.
49. Rose had injuries but was able to recover nicely with what seems minimal brain damage.  You can see she has had damage to her face but honestly she is beautiful.
50. Salvator was partially paralyzed, had a feeding tube, could not walk.  Seizures started happening.
51. They took Salvator to Dr. Lemmo’s brain center which I believe is in Ontario, a man working with different strategies.  EMT the eye movement training.  Within a week, Salvator was walking! 
52.  In a video, due to not being able to talk yet, he talks to his mom by typing on his cell phone, he proudly adds that he is not drooling anymore either (basically, the paralyzation was going away)
53. Watch the video, I will put it in our link.  He goes into that center very skinny, in a wheelchair….by the end he is doing leg lifts standing up with some weight lifting machine.  You know I cried.
54. Tanner and Isabella have gone on to do great things also.
55. The strength of this family, is out of this world.  Mad props to all of them and the insanity that they went through.
