Our case today takes place in 1914 near Spring Green, Wisconsin. Taliesin, as the house was named by its architect, Frank Lloyd Wright, was built in 1911, and was site of the deadliest single killer mass murder in Wisconsins history.
The home was built so he and his mistress, Mamah Borthwick, could live without judgmental eyes. One Saturday while Frank was away on business a man named Julain Carlton who worked for the couple, murdered 7 people in the home while simultaneously setting the building on fire.
After Frank Lloyd Wright's death, the house was donated to the Frank Lloyd Wright Foundation, and Taliesin remains open and you can take tours of it.
