Why Leadership Shapes Everything

Today I'll be sharing with you the initiative importance and impact of leadership. There is a quotation by John C. Maxwell, a leadership guru, state that everything rises and falls on leadership. Because leadership is so important and impactful in every aspect of our lives, from our homes, our communities, our churches, our cities, our countries, even the continent and creation at large. So that is why everything rises and falls on leadership in society.

Initiative Importance And Impact Defined

The initiative of leadership is the beginning of leadership. The importance of leadership is the need for leadership and the impact of leadership that is the value of leadership. So the initiative of leadership is when leaders emerge out of nowhere to make a difference. The initiative of leadership takes us back to the creator of the creation. I'm gonna use Genesis chapter 1 as a reference to explain the initiative of leadership, the importance of leadership, and the impact of leadership.

Genesis As A Leadership Case Study

We're gonna look at the first leadership in action and the first leader in history, and that is God, the creator of the heavens and the earth. Let's look at this case study. The creator of creation. We see a problem because I believe that leadership is about solving problems. The reason why we have ineffective leadership in our society is because people who we have placed in a position of authority and influence, we expect them to solve the problems of society, and they're not doing that. So leadership from Genesis chapter 1, what I've learned is leadership is about solving problems, and that is exactly what we're gonna see. The first leader in history, that is God Himself, the creator of the heavens and the earth. So there was an account in Genesis chapter 1, verse 1 to 2. I'm gonna read.

Naming The Earth’s Three Problems

What I call the earth problem. So there are three conditions or states of the problem of the earth. We see the first condition of the earth is the earth was without form. The second condition of the earth is the earth was void, and the third condition of the earth is darkness was on the face of the deep. So what we see here is a massive problem. Leadership is about solving problems, and we're gonna look at the first leader in history, and that is God. We have identified the problem, and that is the earth has a problem with that form, void, and darkness was on the face of the deep.

The Trinity As Problem Solver

Okay, now we're gonna identify the person and purpose. So the person and purpose is what I call the solution to the problem. In this case, we're gonna identify the Trinity in action, the Godhead, in resolving the problem of the state of the earth. God is three persons in one, okay? And the purpose is to be a solution to the problem of the earth. So what we identify here based on the problem on the earth, with our form, void, and darkness on the face of the deep, we can conclude that because of a problem, we can see the initiative of leadership. Because of a problem, we can see the importance of leadership. Because of a problem, we can see the impact of leadership. That is why I quoted earlier on that everything rises and falls on leadership by John C. Maxwell. In order for this problem to be resolved, we need a person with a purpose, and the purpose of that person is to resolve the problem. So leadership is finding solutions to problems. So we see God the Father created the heavens and the earth, we see God the Spirit over in the face of the deep, we see God the Son, who is the Word of God being spoken into creation.

When Leadership Becomes Useless

The initiative of leadership, meaning how leadership stems from how leaders in March is when there's a problem in our society, leaders are expected to arise. What we can extract from this content in the scripture in Genesis chapter 1, verse 1 to 2, in a biblical context of the description of what a leader is, a leader from this biblical context, what we have seen or observed from God, the creator of creation, is that a leader is a person with a purpose to resolve problems in society. So leadership is all about problem solving. If you are a leader in your home, if you are a leader in church, if you're a leader in your community, if you're a leader in a state, and you're not solving problems, then your leadership is useless.
