What Is Life Really About

Today I want to share with us I am the life. I am the life. If you look at the I am claims of Jesus, there are several statements regarding life that Jesus made. And today we're gonna look at these I am statements regarding life. The question I would like to ask us is Is life just about breathing? Is this life just about doing? Is this life just about becoming? Is this life just about being? Or there's more much to life?

Spirit Soul And Body Explained

When we look at the human life, the human composition consists of spirit, soul, and body. Looking at life from an holistic point of view, life in our spirits, life in our souls, life in our bodies. We are spiritual beings, we are spirits, life within and beyond, and life in the supernatural and spiritual realm. Because our God is spirit, as a result of that, according to Genesis chapter 1, verse 26, God said, Let us make man in our image according to our likeness. What makes us unique from the rest of creation is that we are also spirits, just as our God is. But we can escape physical and spiritual death in hell when we receive Jesus Christ as our Savior. Now let's get down to where I'm heading at.

Outward Man Versus Inner Man

There are two realms of our life existence: the physical and the natural realm, the spiritual realm. And we as human beings will live in two sides. Paul states the outward man and the inward man. And I know most times we focus on living life from the outward man, not the inward man. But I've come to realize that to truly live this life, you have to live life from the inside. You need the Spirit of God to give you life in life in abundance. Life from the inside is a life of peace, it's a life of contentment, it's a life of joy, it's a life of hope. These are things that people cannot see, they're invisible, and that is why the Bible states that the kingdom of God is not eating, drinking. These are visible signs of life, or parting, or enjoying, or traveling. These are all outward appearances of life. But true life is in the inside. As Paul states, the kingdom of God is not eating or drinking, but righteousness, peace, and joy in the Holy Spirit. Second Corinthians chapter 4, verse 16. The Bible states, therefore, we do not lose hearts even though our heartward man is perishing. As you get older, you used to look beautiful as a young lady. Now you're becoming old, and the way you used to look back in the day is different. Same applies to us as men as well. So our heartward man, that which people can see visibly is perishing, is decaying. But yet the inward man is being renewed day by day. The world spends so much time taking care of the outward man, neglecting the inward man. But what's gonna last is your inward man. So if you don't invest in your inward man, what is inside of you, which consists of your heart, your mind, your soul, and you only invest in your body, believe in me, you're gonna live a life of regret. And Paul also states in Ephesians chapter 3, verse 16, that he will grant you according to the riches of his glory, to be strengthened with might through his spirit in the inner man. So I also notice that the Holy Spirit works in our inner man, the Holy Spirit builds our inner man, the Holy Spirit strengthens our inner man. If you can be sustained in your inner man, if you can maintain yourself in your inner man by the help of the Holy Spirit, whatever happens outside of you will not affect you. Why did Jesus state that in this world you're gonna have tribulation? But share up. You cannot share up when there's tribulation in the world, but you can share up in your inner man in the midst of afflictions or in the midst of chaos. Jesus states that God will give you an eye peace that surpasses our human understanding. So a life that is lived in the inner man is a life that is invisible, it's a life that is not moved by anything, it's a life that is not moved by chaos, it's a life that is not moved by confusion. Because greater is he that is in you. You are calm, you are cool, you are collected in the inner man. And I'm here to remind us, I'm here to encourage us as believers to focus on living a life in the inner man. So when we talk about the heartward man, we're referring to the body. When we talk about the inward man, we refer to spirit and soul. We live in a world today with increasing mental health and emotional health, all because society has neglected taking care of the inward man and spend most of our time taking care of the outward man. As a result of that, people are becoming miserable in life. They have all the gadgets, they have all the fashion, they have all the cosmetics, but guess what? They are still miserable, unattractive. God is more interested in what you are becoming for him than what you're doing for him. The focus of God is to work in your inner man, to strengthen your inner man, to cultivate your inner man, to change your inner man.

Existing Versus Living Abundantly

Life as an existence. People just live, just to exist, just to survive. And they tend to focus on just the outer life. You know, whatever I can eat, whatever I can drink, that's it. But that's not the life that Jesus Christ wants us to have. Life as an experience, living, not just existing, that abundant life, heaven and earth, focuses on the inner life. Because sometimes we think that okay, let me have a car, let me have a house, let me have this amount of money, then I will truly live. I can give myself an example. I will make money and I will save money thinking that I'm gonna enjoy my life later on in the future. I'm gonna deprive myself from eating healthy, I'm just gonna eat anyhow, and I ask myself, yes, I'm saving money, but I'm depriving my own happiness, I'm depriving myself from having the best meal. I work so hard for this money, trying to save it in the future. Why can't I just enjoy it now? Why can't I just take a walk and enjoy creation? Why am I just spending time inside reading, writing? I need to enjoy life because God created this universe for us to enjoy in whatever capacity. So life as an experience is a life that focuses on the inner, inner man, and then we also have life as an eternity, that is life after death, focuses on a future life. And most of us as believers, we want to live life, or we we we we tell ourselves that we are gonna live our best life in eternity. But when Jesus said, I have come to give life and life in abundance, he's not just speaking about abundant life in eternity in heaven, he wants us to have a taste of heaven here on this earth. So don't deprive yourself of life. Ask the Holy Spirit to help you live your life to the fullest for the glory of God.

Jesus As The Source Of Life

Now let's look at life in Jesus. You are a living being, according to 1 Corinthians chapter 15, verse 45. It states, and so it is written, the first man Adam became a living being. So you and I, we are a living being. We are not the source of life, we are not the cause of life. So that is why at times, if you're looking for life, you cannot find it within yourself. You cannot find life in creation without the creator. If you want to find life, if you want to seek life, if you want to be settled in life, if you want to be satisfied in life, if you want to succeed in life, go back to your creator. Don't look into creation or don't look at another human being, they cannot define or dictate or determine your life. Go back to God. So we are a living being, all of us. We're not the source of life, we're not the cause of life. Now, let's look at the last Adam that is Jesus. Jesus, the Bible states that in the same 1 Corinthians chapter 15, verse 45, it states, the last Adam became a life-giving spirit, meaning that he is the source and the cause of life, a life-giving spirit. And Jesus will tell us that the words that I speak to you, their spirit and their life. So when Jesus is speaking to you, he speaks life to you, he speaks life to your spirit, not just to your body. We want him to speak life to our body, but that is not where true life lies. True life lies in the spirit, in the inner man, in your soul, and your spirit. That is why, child of God, when you and I we are saved, our spirit is saved to connect with the spirit of God. And our soul, which which lies our heart, our mind, is constantly being renewed. And then our body, you can do whatever the heck you want to do with your body. But the focus is not really on the flesh, it's on the spirit and the soul. And if you can take care of the spirit and the soul, then the body will just follow along. But we do the opposite. We take care of the body, we want the spirit and the soul to follow along. It doesn't work like that. So Jesus has life in himself, like he's a self-existing one. Look what it states in John chapter 5, verse 26. For as the Father has life in himself, so he has granted the Son to have life in himself. That qualifies Jesus to give us life. I cannot give you life, Musumba. I cannot give you life, Apostle. I cannot give you life, Madam Charity, I cannot give you life, Sister Carol. So if you're looking for life, don't come to me. But I can tell you who you can go to. You can go to Jesus Christ because he has life in himself, and he is capable and qualified to give you life. That is why he states that my purpose for coming on this earth, not just to save mankind, but my purpose as well is to give life and life in abundance. So Jesus has life in himself. Now let's look at the I am claims of Jesus, and most of them are related to

Jesus Says I Am The Life

life. The first one is Jesus states that I am the life. The same description of Yahweh describing himself to Moses. When Moses stated to God, God, tell me who you are so I can tell your people. God didn't give Moses a personalized name or a specific name, his name was open-ended. He said, I am that I am, I shall be what I shall be. As you as you get to know me, as you get to experience me, as you encounter me, you see another side of me. I will reveal who I am because God is indescribable. We cannot put God in a box. The God that you know today is much more than the God that you will know tomorrow. That is why you have to be open-minded. Don't limit God at all. So that same I am statement that God made, just as the father has life in himself, he has given the son to also have life in himself. Just as the father is the I am, the son also is the I am, because God is Jesus is God. So Jesus states in John chapter 14, verse 6, Jesus said to him, I am the way, I am the truth, and I am the life, not a life. That word the as an article, it signifies that Jesus is the definite life, is the ultimate life, is not one of the lives, it is the life, the main life, no other life. I am the life, not a life. No one comes to the Father except through me. We want to go to God the Father for life, but Jesus is saying that you cannot access my father without through me. So if you want life, you have to come to me. And you see how he didn't start off by saying that I am the life. No, he started by saying that I am the way, meaning that in order for you to attain that level of life that Jesus is saying that I am the life, you need a way to get there, you need a path to get there. And he also stated that I am the truth. There are many ways to life. If you read the book of Ecclesiastes, Solomon was trying to figure out life under the sun. He tried woman, vanity after vanity, he tried wisdom, vanity of life after vanity, he tried pleasures, vanity of life after vanity. He tried everything under the sun to attain life, even though he was the wealthiest man on earth, he was the wisest man, but life without God under the sun makes no sense. So if we really want life at the end, we have to go through the way, we have to go through the path of Jesus, and we need to find the truth because the Bible says when you know the truth, the truth will set you free. We live in a world today where people are not living, not because there's lack of knowledge, there's so much information out there. Now we have AI, there's so much um deception out there. Deception, when you're self-deceived, you're not living life. That is why, for example, right now, our children are being deceived in schools, telling them about the identity, transgender. That is a lie. Lie cannot lead to life. It takes truth that will lead to life because when you know the truth, the truth will set you free, and life is freedom, life is not bondage. So you need Jesus, who is the way, you need Jesus, who is the truth, to eventually lead you to the life. He is the life, and that's what we're looking for. Now, in John chapter 1, 4, verse 5, in him was life, and the life was the light of man, and the light shines in darkness, and the darkness did not comprehend him, comprehend it. So again, we see that in him was life. So that's pretty much who Jesus is. I am the life. Now, another I am statement that Jesus made was, I am the bread of life, according to John chapter 6, verse 35. And Jesus said to them, I am the bread of life. He who comes to me shall never hunger, and he who believes in me shall never thirst. I like the fact that Jesus always uses our human language or human analogy to try to reveal to us spiritual truth for us to understand who we are. Why do we need bread? We you, I mean, in the ancient times, bread is like their staple food to sustain them, to strengthen them physically. So Jesus is using the analogy of bread to reveal himself, to depict himself that guys, I am again that I am statement. I I hope that that I am statement can ring ears in the children of Israel that while God is in our midst, God is here saying that I am the bread of life, I am your physical sustainer, but I'm also not just your physical sustainer. I am beyond that, but I am your spiritual sustainer because bread as of as a food sustains us physically, it nourishes us physically. But Jesus is saying that I am the bread of life. He who comes to me, you're not gonna be hungry. You're not gonna be hungry. Wow, you're not gonna be hungry. If you eat of me, you're not gonna be hungry. If you come to me, you're not gonna be hungry. And then in John chapter 6, that same John chapter 6, verse 45 to 51, it states, I am the bread of life. Your fathers ate the manor in the wilderness. When you look at the book of Numbers, God sustained his people while they were in the wilderness with manna, and they are dead. This is the bread which comes down from heaven. Again, referring to himself, I am that bread that your father ate, that manna, that one may eat of it and not die. He said the actual manner that your fathers ate, they died. But now, this bread that has come from heaven, when you eat of it, you're not gonna die. It's using a physical day-to-day substance that the children of Israel can relate to to depict some spiritual truth about himself and what he has to offer them beyond the physical life. That if you eat of me, you're gonna have eternal life. I'm gonna resurrect you, even when you die physically. He says, I am the living bread because the manner stopped. But Jesus will not stop giving you nourishment, he will not stop nurturing you. I am the living bread which came down from heaven. If anyone eats of this bread, wow, he is so bold to make such a statement, he will live forever. Wow, if you eat of me, if you eat of me, coming to me, believing in me, living in me, you're not gonna die. Instead, you are gonna live forever. And he said, The bread that I shall give is my flesh, which I shall I shall give for the life of the world. Talking about a sacrificial life. He treated his life for us so that we you and I we might have life. Another I am statement related to life is Jesus states, I am the word of life, according to John 6, verse 63. It is the spirit who gives life, the flesh profits nothing. The words that I speak to you are spirit and their life. So when Jesus speaks, he speaks life. When Jesus speaks, he speaks power. If you're weak, the word of life is available for you. If you're stranded, the word of life

Bread Of Life And Living Water

is available for you. The word became flesh, the word created the universe. So Jesus is the word of life. When he speaks, you are alive. When he speaks, you are active. When he speaks, you are activated. And another I am statement of Jesus is John chapter 11, verse 25 to 26. I am the resurrection and the life. He who believes in me, though he may die, he shall live again. So even if you die physically from anything or sickness or whatever it is, Jesus is saying that because of how I identify myself, because of who I am, that I am the resurrection and the life. You don't have to do anything else. You don't have to go nowhere else. You don't have to, you don't have to seek anybody else. You can find all of that in the I am that I am when it comes to life. When you're dead, I am the resurrection. I will raise you back to life. And not only I will raise you back to life, I will give you life. Because you can raise somebody back to life and they don't have life. They're back to their miserable life. That's why Jesus is saying that I am the resurrection and the life. I'm able to resurrect you, and I'm also able to give you life and life in abundance. So, what's the point of resurrecting the dead, but the dead is still miserable? No. Jesus is able to resurrect you and give you a new life. Whoever lives and believes in me shall never die. Do you believe this? So there's two things about getting this life from Jesus. Number one, we have to believe in him. Number two, we have to live in him. So you cannot have this life that Jesus is trying to offer us if you don't believe in him and if you don't live in him. Yes, you can believe in him, but are you living in him? That is where we as believers at times will falter. Yes, we believe in Jesus that he has life, that he can give us life. But are we taking initiative? Are we diligent to abide in him as he abides in us? His goal is for us not just to believe in him, at the end, he wants us to live in him. Another I am statement of Jesus is, I am the fountain of life. According to John chapter 4, verse 10, Jesus states, Jesus answered and said, and said to her, If you knew the gift of God, wow, who it is who says to you, I just like the boldness of Jesus. Like he's so he's so sure of himself. That is why the devil was trying to tempt him. If you are trying to put doubt in him, trying to make him question his identity. If you are the son of God, do this. If you are the son of God, da-da-da. No, just like, nah, I know who I am. Child of God, if you know who you are in Christ Jesus, you know, you you'll be so confident, you'll be so bold. And that's something I'm learning from Jesus. Like he knew his identity. Like, like he's saying that if you knew the gift of God, if you know who is talking to you, you don't, you're not just talking to any ordinary man, you're talking to the life, and you actually need me. You know, who it is who is saying to you, give me a drink. You would have asked him, and he would have given it to you, given you living water. Wow. Jesus met the Samaritan woman, was saying that, oh, give give me water, you know. And the man, you know, Jews and Jews and Samaria didn't have anything in common. It was a very strange encounter, but Jesus didn't care. He bridged the gap to reach out to a gentle because the goal of him is to come to die for the world so that everybody can have salvation. And he was telling this woman that, hey woman, give me water. But I'm but I'm here to tell you that if you know who's talking to you, the he actually referring to himself as the gift of God, you'll be the one to tell me to for me to give you water and I will give you living water, not just water, water that will give you life. If you go down to 14, but whoever drinks of the water that I shall give him will not thirst. Again, it used the analogy of bread, food when we're hungry, when we eat of Jesus, we'll never be hungry again. Now it's using the analogy of water, these are day-to-day things that we relate with as human beings, and we need bread and water for our physical sustenance and nourishment. So Jesus is pretty much implying that guys, I am your also I'm actually your physical, spiritual sustenance. I can sustain your spirit, soul, and body. I can do that. If you're thirsty in your spirit, soul and body, I am the life. If you're hungry in your spirit, soul, and body, I am the life. The bread of life and the fountain of life. But the water that I shall give him will become in him a fountain of water springing up into everlasting life. He wants to give life now and give life in eternity. It's not just about life in eternity, because that life is permanent. That should be our focus. But he also wants to give us life now in eternity. And in Revelation chapter 21, verse 6, and he said and he said to me, It is done again, using the same I am statement. I am the Alpha and the Omega, I am the beginning and the end. I will give of the fountain of water of life freely to him who thirst. Again, Jesus is not withholding life from us, him being the source and cause of life. He's not being selfish, he's not being greedy with life. He actually wants to give us life freely. But we live in a world where people are selling the basic necessities of life: water, food, clothing, and shelter. Even men of God are selling the basis of life. You have to pay them money for them to do deliverance on you. You have to pay them money for them to heal you when Jesus did all of that for free. Look what it says in Psalm chapter 36, verse 9. For which you is the fountain of life. In your light we see light. Again, a reference of Jesus Christ in the Old Testament.

Light Of Life Overcomes Darkness

Now, another statement that Jesus made when it comes to the I am statement related to life is I am the light of life. I am the light of life. Look what it states in John chapter 8, verse 12. Then Jesus spoke to them again, saying, I am the light of the world. He who follows me should not walk in darkness, but have the light of life. If you cannot see, what's the point of living? You need to see clearly, you need to come out of darkness to the light of life that Jesus claims to be. Therefore, only in Jesus can we come to him so that we may have life, as Jesus is the absolute source and cause of life. It says in John chapter 5, 39, verse 40, you search the scriptures, that is the religious leader in his time. For in them you think you have eternal life. So people, oh my god, people are just looking into the scriptures. Some people they'll go and seek out psychic, they'll they'll they'll spend so much money on so many things because what they are searching for life, and they're searching for eternal life. So Jesus is saying that, okay, guys, you search the scriptures, which is good. For them, you think that you have eternal life. Okay. And these and these are they which testify of me. You cannot separate the scripture from the Son of God, they're connected. The scripture speaks of God, speaks of Jesus. So you cannot tell me that, okay, I'm gonna study the scripture, but I don't want Jesus. It doesn't work like that. That's what the Pharisees wanted. They searched the scripture up, but they don't want to have nothing to do with Jesus Christ. But Jesus is saying that these scriptures that you're searching for, they actually speak of me, they testify of me, they proclaim who I am. This the old testament that you guys have read, the Torah speaks of me, but you choose not to believe me. But you're not willing to come to me that you may have life. Wow, wow. That's what the Bible said, the letter kills, but the spirit gives life. Jesus said the words that I speak to the spirit and your life. You can have the Bible without Jesus, you don't have life. You need Jesus and the Bible. You don't just need the Bible and then without Jesus. No, because the Bible speaks of Jesus. You can't say, you know what? I like the content of the scripture, but I don't like the person of the scripture. No, it doesn't work like that. Without the person of the scripture, the scripture is just it's just there, it's just there. So Jesus is saying that search the scriptures, they speak of me. When you search, when you come across who I am, the goal is for you to come to me willingly, and you will have life.

Scripture Without Jesus Falls Short

Now, two ways Jesus expressed his life for us. Number one, his sacrificial life. Jesus laid down his life for us. John chapter 10, verse 11, I am the good shepherd. The good shepherd gives his life for the sheep. John chapter 15, 10, verse 15, as the Father knows me, even so I know the Father, and I lay down my life for the sheep. John chapter 10, verse 17. Therefore, my father loves me because I lay down my life that I may take it again. Sacrificial life. Because in order for Jesus Christ to give us life, he has to lay down his life. Because he and I will not qualify to have the life of Jesus because of our sins. Another point is his selfless life. Not only Jesus gave his life to us sacrificially, but Jesus is giving life to us selflessly. A life that is not just about surviving or striving, but a life of sustenance, satisfaction, and success, both in a physical sense, in a spiritual sense, inside of you, outside of you, and also in eternity. Holistic life. That's what Jesus wants us to have. Ephesians chapter 3, verse 16. That he will grant you according to the riches of his glory to be strengthened with might through his spirit in the inner man. 2 Corinthians chapter 4, verse 16. Therefore, we do not lose heart, even though our outward man is perishing, yet the inward man is being renewed day by day. Giving us life in the inside, that's his goal. Because he knows that's what's gonna last. Jesus gives life to the world. When we go out there, people are perishing. When we go out there, people are looking for life and they're seeking all means to attain life. But I'm here to tell you that, child of God, as believers, let's go to the world and tell people that Jesus can give life to the world. According to John chapter 6, verse 33. For the bread of God is he who comes down from heaven and gives life to the world. That's his goal, to give life to the world. But because people are dead spiritually, people are dead physically, people are dead in sin, people are dead mentally, people are dead emotionally, financially. Jesus is the life-giving spirit, he is the source and cause of life. Jesus offers us the resurrection of life. Look what it says in John chapter 5, verse 29, and comfort those who have done good to the resurrection of life. John chapter 6, verse 40. And this is the will of him who sent me, that everyone who sees the Son and believes in him may have everlasting life, and I will raise him up in the up at the last day. Jesus offers us not just resurrection of life, he offers us eternal life, everlasting life. There are many references to that. That is his end result, that is his end goal. Look what it says in John chapter 5, verse 24. Most assuredly I say to you, he who hears my word and believes in him who sent me has everlasting life and should not come into judgment, but pass from death into life. John chapter 5, verse 39 to 40. You start your scripture, for them you think you have eternal life. And these are they that which testify of me, but you're not willing to come to me that you may have life. John chapter 6, verse 40. And this is the will of him who sent me, that everyone who sees the Son believes in him may have everlasting life. That is the end result of God. And finally, 1 John chapter 5, verse 11 to 12. And this is the testimony that God has given us eternal life, and this life is in is in his son. So this eternal life that we're looking for is in his son. It's in his son because his son offers us eternal life. He who has the son has life. So if we really want life now and life forever, we need to have the son of God in our life. We need to believe in the Son of God and we need to live in the Son of God. And he who does not have the Son does not have life. That's just how it is. We might see unbelievers living life outwardly, uh, with fame, with possessions, with houses, with money. Oh, they're living the life. Wow, they're living your life. People are applauding them. But without Jesus, for me personally, I don't see that as life. That life is gonna fade away. But I see people who have Jesus, they might not have the money, they might not have the house, they might not have the prestige, they might not have the fame. But guess what? They have peace that surpasses human understanding. Nothing moves them, nothing troubles them. Their mental health is intact, their emotional health is intact, their spiritual health is intact. That's the life that Jesus has come to give us. That life now and that life in eternity. Let's do a case study regarding this. When you look at John chapter 10, verse 10, when Jesus states that I have come that we may have life and that we may have it abundantly, that is second purpose after salvation, to give life and life in abundance. And this life and life in abundance is is um it's a life not just spiritual but also physical. It's a life that fulfills the human composition, like I said previously, that is spirit, soul, and body. If you look at when Jesus was reading uh a prophecy in I think in Isaiah about him, that prophecy actually reveals the purpose of Jesus, and that purpose of Jesus encompasses what Jesus would accomplish for the human composition, both the human physical and both the human spiritually.

Abundant Life For The Whole Person

Look what it stated. I read that in Luke chapter 4, verse 18 to 19. The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, that is Jesus, because he has anointed me, that is the Messiah, to preach the gospel to the poor. That is, we see the poor, we see the physical life of poor people. They don't have money. It could also be poor in spirit, it could also be poor in terms of material things, but the gospel is preached to both the poor and the rich. He has sent me to heal the brokenhearted. That is the soulish man or the soulish woman, our emotions, our hearts, not just our our spirit that he has come for. He has come for our emotions, he has come for our feelings, he has come for our hearts to heal them, not just to heal us physically, but to heal us mentally, to heal us emotionally, to proclaim liberty to the captives, to set us free spiritually from foundations, from demonic problems that oppress our spirit. So he's taking this prophecy covers Jesus Christ taking care of our human composition, both spirit, soul, and body, to proclaim liberty to the captives, to recover of sight to the blind. That is physical. If you're not able to see physically, how how can you even enjoy life? But Jesus is able to give what sight to the blind, and you can also use an uh uh as analogy to say that you cannot see spiritually as well, to set at liberty those who are oppressed. We see oppression, financial oppression with mortgage, with with debt, with credit, and all that stuff. The goal is for him to set us free from oppression and to proclaim the acceptable year of the Lord. So that prophecy of Jesus as the Spirit of God is upon him, he has come to take care of the human composition, soul, spirit, spirit, soul, and body to give them life and life in abundance.

Why Possessions Cannot Define Life

Life without Jesus is physical life based on food or anything that can sustain us physically. Remember, Jesus stated this that in Matthew chapter 4, verse 4. But he answered and said, That is speaking to the devil. When the devil said, Jesus, I know you're hungry. If you're the Son of God, turn this stone into bread. But look what Jesus said. He just made a profound statement about our lives and not just live physically. He states, and he answered and said, It is written, man shall not live by bread alone. He's not neglect negating or um not acknowledging the importance of bread for our physical life. That's what he said, but that's not just what life is all about. Your life is not just physical, it's not just about food. That's what Paul said, the kingdom of God is not eating or drinking. He's saying that man, human being, shall not just live by bread alone. It's not just about eating bread or drinking water, it's not just about your physical life. But he said, But every word that proceeds from the mouth of God, and the words that proceeds from the mouth of God, the spirit and your life. So he's teaching us that life goes beyond the physical. Life is in the inside, life is is also beyond the physical, that is the spiritual. So life without Jesus is a life of possessions, not just physical life. Look what it states in Luke chapter 12, verse 15. And he said to them, Take heed and beware of covetousness. For one's life does not consist in the abundance of the things he possess. That's how sometimes we measure life. We measure life by the physical food, we measure life by our physical possessions. But Jesus is saying that no, a man's life does not consist in the abundance of things he possesses. Some of us we want to have life. Oh, the more I the more money I save in my account, I will be happy, I will have joy, I will have peace of mind. Or the more um career path, or when I get promoted, when I have this business contract. Again, there's nothing wrong about having a business contract, there's nothing wrong about being promoted, there's nothing wrong about saving money. But if that's just your focus, that is life without Jesus. And he's saying that a man's life does not consist in the abundance of things he possesses. Your life does not consist just on possessions, it goes beyond that. Your life is not just based on bread alone, it goes beyond that. That's what it's trying to imply. And so life without Jesus is a life of pride. We see that on social media, and that's exactly what the devil wanted. Look what it says in Jeremiah chapter 9, verse 23 to 24. It states, Thou says the Lord, let not the wise man glory in his wisdom, let not the mighty man glory in his might, nor let the rich man glory in his riches, but let him glory who glory, glories, glory in this, that he understands and knows me, that I am the Lord of everlasting loving kindness, judgment and righteousness in the earth. For in this I delight, says the Lord. So therefore, a life without Jesus can be likened to the condition of the earth a life without form, a life that is void, a life that is filled with darkness. That is why, if when you read the Genesis account, the Spirit of God intervenes, and then we see God saying, Let there be light, and light represents Jesus Christ. So we need the Spirit of God to be alive, and we need the light of God to see life. So that is why Jesus Is the light of life and life without Jesus is a life of vanity. If you read the book of Ecclesiastes, throughout talks about vanity upon vanity. Now conclude with this life with Jesus.

Life With Christ Now And Forever

Life in Christ and life with Christ is a life that is lived now and next. A life with Jesus is believing in Jesus. Because it says in John chapter 6, verse 47, Most as surely I say to you, He who believes in me has everlasting life. So if you want to have life with Jesus, you have to believe in Him. Life with Jesus is knowing and relating to the Holy Trinity. Because Jesus says, You have given him authority over all flesh. That is John chapter 17, verse 2 to 3. He should give eternal life to as many as you have given them. And this is eternal life that they may know you, the only true God and Jesus whom you have sent. So this life, eternal life, is not just a place, but actually is knowing. Let me say that again. Life in Christ and life with Christ is no longer you who live, but Christ who lives in you and you live to God. Look what it stated in Romans chapter 6, verse 10. For the death, for the death that he died, he died to sin once for all. But the life that he lives, he lives to God. Galatians chapter 2, verse 20. I have been crucified with Christ. It's no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me. And the life which I now live in the flesh, I live by faith in the Son of God who loved me and gave himself for me. Thank you.
