Show Notes

Everyone wants a high performing school, but schools continue to assume that only a minority of children can reach high levels of educational performance.  In today's podcast episode, we speak with Professor Deborah Eyre about how every school can become a world-class school. High performance is not the preserve of the few but available to all.

Bio: Professor Deborah Eyre: Founder and Chair at High Performance Learning Services Ltd (HPL). She founded HPL in 2016 in order to rethink schooling so that schools become a place where every student is seen as a potential high performer and the entire school community knows how to use contemporary learning science to ensure every student performs highly academically and also learns the skills that will enable them to thrive in their future lives.
A globally acclaimed education leader, academic researcher, writer and influencer, Deborah’s long career has included significant senior leadership posts in school, for government, for an international education school group and in higher education. She is a practical academic, passionate and knowledgeable about how successful learners get to be successful and her advice is widely sought by governments, schools, universities and educational foundations across the world. Prior to launching HPL she was Global Education Director for Nord Anglia Education (2010-14). Deborah is a Liveryman of the City of London, a Trustee of two Multi-Academy Trusts in UK, holds Fellowships with the Girls School Association, Chartered College of Teachers and the Royal Society of Arts and is a Member of Senior Common Room at St Hugh’s College, Oxford University.
