Episode 23 - How Waterloo Ready Helps Students Transition from High School to University
Show Notes

Learning in high school is a lot different than learning in university. For this week's episode, we sat down with Tracy Hilpert, a lecturer in Managerial Accounting at the School of Accounting and Finance, to talk about some of the differences between high school and university. Priority-setting and managing one's time is an important aspect of university learning, and Tracy talks a little bit about the workload differences between high school and university as well as providing tips to students that will make managing their time easier in the fall term. Tracy also breaks down what students can expect their university classes to look like, not only in terms of structure and requirements, but also in terms of the adoption of blended learning due to COVID-19 restrictions. Finally, Tracy emphasizes how important it is for students to actively take part in the Waterloo Ready programming as this content is helping make students' transition even easier come the fall term.
