Nehemiah led the Israelites to rebuild the wall around Jerusalem, completing what laid in ruins for a century and a half in just 52 days. Nehemiah modeled a heart for the people, a heart for their God, and a heart for the work. Encouraging everyone to contribute to the work and to trust that God would fight for them when opposition escalated. Some worked. Some stood guard.
