Lauren Proper is an engineer by day and a maker by night. After graduating from college in 2012 with a degree in chemical engineering, Lauren found herself needing a creative outlet. This eventually led to the creation of The Proper Abode, her Etsy shop, where she creates custom apparel, decor, and more. When she isn’t busy with work or her shop, she also enjoys renovating the house she and her husband recently bought in South Carolina, playing with her two dogs, floral arranging, party planning, and visiting every museum she can.
