David Pruitt is a lifelong learner of emergency services. As a second-generation firefighter, David has a lifetime of experience watching and learning; and he regularly implements skills, tactics, and lessons learned into his daily life. David has spent the last 19.5 years with the City of Hillsboro and currently holds the title of Major over Fire, EMS, and Special Operations. His true passion is in training and educating emergency services personnel. In the past few years, he has taken many of the city’s unoccupied structures and used them for training. The use of these acquired structures has brought national and international attention to the small central Texas town where he works.
