A little LATE NIGHT #TuesdayTalkwithLB and boy is this a good one! I got to talk with Federal Wildlife Biologist Briana 'Bre' Stewart. We met through mutual friend, Blake Hall, a couple years ago at the Docks, and I loved her immediately. Bre told me about growing up in Alabama, catching crawfish and shooting black birds. We started off by her telling me about graduating college with a bachelor's degree in Biology only to leave her 9-5 job for a 6 month turkey technician job. Not knowing the doors it would open, and the path ahead of her, she embodied every part of the journey. She told me about putting transmitters on Eastern turkeys in Alabama, and all the incredible data that comes from that. Bre told me about her day to day as a Federal Wildlife Biologist, and then we dove into conservation. We talked about as hunters, we are also conservationist because if you aren't a conservationist then you won't be a hunter anymore. And as always, we wrapped up with some advice!
