SPEAKER_02

Hello little girl. Hello. I'm Garrett. And I'm Joanna. And welcome back to another episode of Ice Coffee with Coffee Screams. On today's episode, we're just gonna go over some B-rated horror things that are always a trend in how you know they are. B rated.

SPEAKER_01

Mm-hmm.

SPEAKER_02

So stay tuned.

SPEAKER_01

Stay tuned. Hello.

SPEAKER_03

Oh God. You guys I do not feel good today.

SPEAKER_02

It's okay.

SPEAKER_03

We're your supremes are kind of down. We're we're a little, we're you know, we're a little allergy-ish, we're a little nauseous. But we we have to talk to you guys.

SPEAKER_00

We have to.

SPEAKER_03

Like we have to. This is our medicine.

SPEAKER_02

It is our medicine.

SPEAKER_03

It is. For our health. For literally for our health. So today.

SPEAKER_02

Today.

SPEAKER_03

Today. Today. Today we're gonna talk about B-rated, which B-rated. If you knew us at Citibank and we took the week of unplanned time. The week. In January, just to go to McDonald's and then watch Netflix movies.

SPEAKER_02

And that's what we did the whole week. Correct. And went straight to McDonald's. We did straight to watching them B-rated.

SPEAKER_03

Literally, and it was all B-rated Netflix. So I feel like we really are versed on this topic.

SPEAKER_02

We very are. And it's always the same concept or the same material. The tropes. The tropes are there.

SPEAKER_03

Yes, the the tropes, the B-rated whore tropes are definitely present. Um, and I just we're not on a tornado. We are the air is airing at my home because I am a vampire and I refuse to be any type.

SPEAKER_02

We're not trapped in a basement. With what do you call air ducts?

SPEAKER_03

We're not, we're not. Bitch, that makes me remember. Do you remember the first time stones and you just? I did.

SPEAKER_02

That's why that's why he said.

SPEAKER_03

I just put you pictures of the air ducts in the biggest. I should have known. You should have known. I should have been prepared. You should. Whoa. But okay, so that's like we said, there are a lot of different tropes in war movies, in the B-rate of horror movies that we did see. So, okay, let's what's what's the first one you want to start with?

SPEAKER_02

So a lot of them, the majority of them, I would say always has the core group of college kids.

SPEAKER_03

Correct. I was gonna say that's accurate.

SPEAKER_02

And it's maybe like six of them, maybe a seventh.

SPEAKER_03

There's always some like underlining relationship issue in the group that like they're trying to either get away from.

SPEAKER_02

Correct.

SPEAKER_03

Or they're trying to be like, or they find that out in the in the situation.

SPEAKER_02

It's like it's and they're all they're always the same personality. Always. You have the jock. Mm-hmm. You have the harlot. The harlot. You have the um nerdy one. You have like the sharp boy, like the shy one. And then somehow you have this might be the seventh one, if there are seven.

SPEAKER_03

Somehow you have the emo one who's like not really friends with anybody, but like they're there for some reason.

SPEAKER_02

But like how are you in this friend friend like type of deal, but like you s they still like you? Correct. Anyway, um, and then you have like just maybe the normal point. Yeah.

SPEAKER_03

Or like the smart one too, like just the or like always too, like, say if it's like they're going to a haunted house, because they're always going somewhere.

SPEAKER_02

Somewhere going on a trip. Somewhere. We're going somewhere in a car.

SPEAKER_03

In a car, we're called cramped. Just cramped. That's why like Texas Chainsaw and stuff is not B-rated because they were always in like a van.

SPEAKER_02

Correct.

SPEAKER_03

And they're not cramped. So we're in a a Nissan.

SPEAKER_02

A Nissan.

SPEAKER_03

Going across country. Um, and if they're going to like a haunted house or something like that, it's always somebody that loves horror. It's always like one of those.

SPEAKER_02

It's always one person. It's always depending on where they're going. Right. And it's always that one, like, oh guys, I heard about this place. It's like it should be haunted or something or something or the other. Or it's always just that one person planning something for the group to go on this trip. And then you always have that one, I don't wanna go. I don't wanna go. Why are we going here? It's like go. You don't have to go.

SPEAKER_03

Stay home then. You don't have to go. They're going because they're man going and they don't want to not, you know, do because there's always a s a scene as soon as we get there. Correct. It's always good. Listen, okay.

SPEAKER_02

And it's always a it's it's always a hooker and a jock who are the ones who are like, I can't wait to get there. Because I'm gonna show you what I can do.

SPEAKER_03

Like, first off, like you better do that shit before we go home. And I want to petition. I'm tired of seeing titties.

SPEAKER_02

I'm just it ain't always because you always have her going, it ain't literally no Billy.

SPEAKER_03

No Billy. You wanna get me? Hey, you Billy, you wanna go in the fourth.

SPEAKER_02

Or it's always them like it's always some getting there, and you have the hookah, um, he's like, I'm gonna jump in a hot tub. You wanna join me, Billy? Or something like that, and she gets in her little skimmy little outfit and whatever, and then they get in a hot tub, and they start like being crazy little college kids and whatnot, and you always have Britney over here showing her titties.

SPEAKER_03

You know, that's true though. That is, I listen, I know what they look like. Can we get some more Franks?

SPEAKER_02

But in order to get Frank, because some of these Franks, some of these Franks aren't at their full potential. And that's I feel like I feel like the boo-boos can be whatever because Correct.

SPEAKER_03

We don't have to do anything really.

SPEAKER_02

But I feel like if we get Franks, some of them ain't gonna be Frankenstein.

SPEAKER_03

Some of them are gonna still just be little big little little earthworms in his ears. I guess if they are a grower. If they're a shower that's a different one. Right, right, right.

SPEAKER_02

But you know the majority of the time they're gonna have little earthworms. That is true, that is true. Could y'all take a second? And it's just like it's gonna be explicit with that. Once we Frankenstein, there are things that are gonna have to happen, and then it's gonna turn into a whole different movie. You know what I'm saying?

SPEAKER_03

I would walk out. That would be I would be so uncomfortable. I would be like So uncomfortable. I can't do that. I can't do that. So, okay, so yes, they're always going to somewhere.

SPEAKER_02

We can it's always a college group going to either Auntie's house, like an abandoned or like they just abandoned because they're they just they're either they're going on a trip somewhere. And this is why we'll never be in them because be an adventurous or just going on a vacation because it's you know fall break or something. Um yeah, so you have the group going somewhere. And then you already know. You already know that something's gonna happen because anywhere that they go, it looks like a haunted house already.

SPEAKER_03

It looks very haunted. It looks very like why aren't we using context clues to get ourselves out of this situation like now?

SPEAKER_02

So like if I s if we drove up to a house together or a cabin together, or somewhere together, even if it's your aunt's house and it looks scary or looks like it's haunted. I'm not going in there.

SPEAKER_03

Correct. Like, no, we're going to go to a hotel. We'll do exactly what we did in Nashville and go to some random hotel, which that could have turned out scary. We were very college kids, B-rated movie, that trip. We were, we were listening. Because that one, I don't even remember where we stayed. I just know we had to like hide that there were four people and we had to, you know, sneak in. It's okay, it's okay, it's okay. We just had to do what we had to do. Um, but that was very, you know, because that that was a very impulse, because it's always very impulsiveness what they do.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah, it's very impulsiveness.

SPEAKER_03

Like it's very just it's never, I feel like they never really have like a conversation about it.

SPEAKER_02

It's always they just go there.

SPEAKER_03

It's always like they're in like a bar or they're in they're in another party environment situation.

SPEAKER_02

They're like and like it's sometimes not even like that. Like, and sometimes this is another this is another way you know it's a be rated. It just happens. It starts off with them packing the car.

SPEAKER_03

That's true. There is no plot.

SPEAKER_02

There's no plot at all of like how it led up to us taking this vacation. It's always that is very true, them packing their bags, or something like that is very true, you know, Sally flirting with Mikey over here. Like, you know what I mean? Like, it's always that type of situation, and then they're packing a car, like, hurry up, oh my god. Yeah, like Bethany over in the corner, like, oh my god, Sean, come on. We're always running late because of you. Ha ha ha. Like, you know what I mean? Like one of those very generic, and it's this very generic plot.

SPEAKER_03

And we get no there's no backstory until like they are fully knee deep into what's going on. They might talk about, you know, just talk about why they're doing it or what they're doing or whatever, but no, there is no there is no backstory.

SPEAKER_02

And they never like they never say if they're on like fall break, or like summer vacation. How do we know each other?

SPEAKER_03

Correct. How do we know each other? Are y'all working? How did you get this much PTO?

SPEAKER_02

I have questions, but like this group of friends is the oddest group of friends.

SPEAKER_03

Like, I want to know how to do it.

SPEAKER_02

And we never know how they wanna be a friend.

SPEAKER_03

Which I think it just differentiates so much from like the normal, like, scream and those type of group of friends. Like, we know, like Cabin in the Woods, they basically were a group of friends going to a cabin, but we knew like kind of the situation and everything like that before we went in there. Before we went in there, because that has a lot of characteristics of a B-rated that definitely could have gone, but they did more.

SPEAKER_02

And it's like tarot, that movie tarot. Listen, we knew they were friends. We we we figured it out, like, but that also started off with like we're already on vacation.

SPEAKER_03

Right.

SPEAKER_02

But I feel like we knew that you were friends.

SPEAKER_03

That teeters a lot. Now, personally, listen here. The tarot hate will not happen because I personally think I love that movie.

SPEAKER_02

That was a good movie.

SPEAKER_03

I know a lot of people think it's ash juice, but McGurk. The turtle.

SPEAKER_02

Oh, turtle.

SPEAKER_03

The turtle turtle. I don't think that it is ash juice in the least bit. Um, I think it's a good movie.

SPEAKER_02

I think it's a solid movie turtle.

SPEAKER_03

I think it's amazing. First off, they had the turtle.

SPEAKER_02

It's because like we like that.

SPEAKER_03

I think that that type of movie was a very niche, like it was I think it was geared towards witches.

SPEAKER_02

I think it was it was definitely tarot readers, like because we knew.

SPEAKER_03

It was geared towards very, like this mo more spiritual, like like how imaginary. I liked imaginary because we went to the other world and went to what did they call that world? The forever ever, never ever underworld?

SPEAKER_02

There's a lot of different because I can't keep up with it.

SPEAKER_03

That's the one with the bear. It's just like Josh and the insidious. Right. Imagine with Chauncey.

SPEAKER_02

Oh, yes. Yes. Yes. Okay.

SPEAKER_03

I liked that one a lot. A lot of people didn't like it, but I personally like when the movies have like those type of magical and like mythical and just you know, that's just my preference. It is.

SPEAKER_02

Well, I I like Tarot just because the cards came to life.

SPEAKER_03

And they actually did those cards amazing.

SPEAKER_02

That's what I'm saying. Like they actually geared towards them, and they had because you know, I'm a cosmic witch. They had my astrology in there type of situation with like everybody and my Pisces was in there, your Taurus was in there.

SPEAKER_03

That was very actually. Gemini was in there. I just want to shout out Taurus Save them because we uh Taurus said save.

SPEAKER_02

We didn't know. Pisces survived. Pisces she was a Pisces and she survived with the Taurus. Because that's what we would do. What was what was the other guy? Was he? Hopefully not a Leo. Hopefully not a Leo. I don't know if he was a Gemini though. I don't know. I think the one who was on the bridge was a Gemini. I think she was a Gemini.

SPEAKER_03

I'm gonna I would like I think it's on who we need to watch it anymore.

SPEAKER_02

We do need to watch it. But I know that the one who was doing the readings was a Pisces.

SPEAKER_03

Okay.

SPEAKER_02

I know which one of Taurus was. But she was a main girl, and then Taurus was the one who did survive because he was the one on the elevator.

SPEAKER_03

Which I thought. I just thought they did the characters like so me, like so scary.

SPEAKER_02

So scary. So especially I would have put it up past it.

SPEAKER_03

I would have sat in the elevator just I would have just been in the corner, like, well, it is my time to perish.

SPEAKER_02

Here we go. To perish. Here we go. But that tells you though, us Pisces and Tauruses were survived a mother freaking movie. Horror uh. We would though.

SPEAKER_03

We would. We would. First off, we would not even be in this situation. I'm just gonna be honest. Correct.

SPEAKER_02

Um, because the moment that they were touching a tarot card deck that's not that's not theirs, that was not that was already enchanted by whoever owned that box.

SPEAKER_03

Hashtag playing with horror, don't touch. Don't touch. We said this before. We have talked about this before. Why are you touching?

SPEAKER_02

Oh, why are you touching? Something that don't belong to you.

SPEAKER_03

Something that does not belong.

SPEAKER_02

Especially tarot.

SPEAKER_03

Because that yes, that is based on the witch that is actually doing. Correct. And if you're not a tarot witch in general, if you do not do that, then you're not gonna understand how to read the cards.

SPEAKER_02

Correct. I mean, she's a Paigen thankfully she knew how to read the cards, however.

SPEAKER_03

I mean, you can really get dangerous in that too. Correct.

SPEAKER_02

So, so yes, I th tarot's a good movie. Tarot is a good movie, turtle.

SPEAKER_03

I'm just saying. Um, but so back to the B-rated whore. Um, I always think too that like the killer is so generic in there every time. It's just like and the killer like has no like the plot itself is not even deep. How do we get a little bit more? It's the most generic, just does not make sense, is not well thought out.

SPEAKER_02

And sometimes not even like a creature, sometimes just like entities or something. It's a lot of just entities because I feel like they don't want to put the effort into making like an actual tangible whatever type of situation like it's always just a freaking oh the wind blew or some shit like that.

SPEAKER_03

And it's like, what?

SPEAKER_02

What are you talking about?

SPEAKER_03

What?

SPEAKER_02

But I think it's always something paranormal.

SPEAKER_03

It mostly, yes. I will have to say that is a good now, not all of them.

SPEAKER_02

This so this B-rated version is like the college kids type of movies. Correct.

SPEAKER_03

Like the movies that we're talking about is like the farm.

SPEAKER_02

Because that so the farm B-rated movie I actually thought was pretty decent.

SPEAKER_03

But I just needed to know what was going on.

SPEAKER_02

That just it just But those are always also the same too.

SPEAKER_03

So I feel like we have a different cat a couple of different categories.

SPEAKER_02

Like that is definitely more of the kidnap that that's definitely more you go to the farm, there's pig head people waiting for you, or like these type of farmer people waiting for you. And it's it's the exact same. Like you're gonna be able to do that.

SPEAKER_03

Well, because that's when they always if it's a couple, so it's either that or a couple. Yeah, it's uh it's either that or a couple, and then the couple will break down somewhere because they're not they're in a backwoods, they're in the back roads, which is why we do not take back roads. And it's always on a farm, it's always on a farm, like not correct. It is always on a farm. They always break down and they always get kidnapped.

SPEAKER_02

That's literally how And they always get separated from each other somewhere.

SPEAKER_03

They do, because I just want to know, first off, why do we not fight back? Like, I don't know, you know, maybe if you know, if a big old pig head.

SPEAKER_02

You can't sit here and tell me that everybody on this farm has superhuman strength.

SPEAKER_03

That's what I'm saying.

SPEAKER_02

They're humans.

SPEAKER_03

Like, that is exactly what I'm saying.

SPEAKER_02

Get something and just go.

SPEAKER_03

I feel like every time we watch a movie, that's what we say. Especially like a B-rated one like that.

SPEAKER_02

You're on a farm. I know there's a pick pick fork somewhere. Or some type of something that you can use against these people. They're just normal people.

SPEAKER_03

Stand together because a lot, and it's so like what fries me is a lot of the times it is such like a big group of people that is detained. So it's like all y'all really have to do is kind of like talk to each other. Mm-hmm. Mm-hmm. Mm-hmm. And be like, So what are we gonna do? Next time, like, if he takes you out of the cage, I'm gonna sit here and get like there's stuff that you could do.

SPEAKER_02

There's things that you could have done. Like, literally, you could have done all kinds You could have got on a wild horse and rolled on the horse.

SPEAKER_03

Because I would.

SPEAKER_02

And said, let's go.

SPEAKER_03

I would. I would go on the horse. I would.

SPEAKER_02

Like literally.

SPEAKER_03

And they always just they always just do shit that they're not supposed to do. They really, really do.

SPEAKER_02

But at the like these those B-rated movies though, like for the farm B-rated movies I feel like you could you can escape. There you can you can by all means escape. Because it's one, it's just the farm. Two, there's so many things around you that you can utilize as weapons. Yeah. And these people are just people. Correct. They're not they're not immortal.

SPEAKER_03

Mm-hmm. That's like with honestly, with Scream. Like Scream is not B-rated, but that's always been a thought of my mind. Like, I know there's like multiple ghost faces and stuff every time, but especially like the first three. Right. You telling me it is Billy's mom and then a crazy ass college kid. So y'all are telling me you cannot just stab this man. Yes, you have a bulletproof vest on the back.

SPEAKER_02

That's what I'm saying. I think that's why.

SPEAKER_03

Stab him in his face.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah. But they never do. They never think about going up here. They always think about going right here. Because that's the typical reaction. No, I'm gonna stab you in your eyeball.

SPEAKER_03

I'm going straight to the head with anything I do. And if let me find out you're a guy. Going straight to the head. Both of them. Yes.

SPEAKER_02

They're both getting cut off. Everything.

SPEAKER_03

Like.

SPEAKER_02

I'm not going anywhere near your chest or stomach.

SPEAKER_03

No, because you're gonna have yeah, which is obvious. Like, we know you got a bulletproof vest on.

SPEAKER_02

I'm going for your neck up or your waist down.

SPEAKER_03

Mm-hmm. I'm gonna slice your kneecap.

SPEAKER_02

Something. And see what happens. Like your Achilles. Just and you can't go nowhere. We cannot go nowhere. Especially when I get the little Achilles, because you're gonna fall straight to the ground and go.

SPEAKER_03

Oh, I cannot, every time there's a scene and they be messing up the Achilles, I just want to throw up.

SPEAKER_02

Like as a dancer, anything that has to do with my legs. Yeah. And if you get anything done with your legs that are getting sliced or anything, I cringe. Because I can imagine it's so painful. Right. Mm-mm. Mm-mm. Mm-mm. I need to be able to walk and dance. I can't.

SPEAKER_03

I cannot. Some of the gore. And I think that the B rated gore always looks so just B. That's another one.

SPEAKER_02

That's another thing about B rate. Like, you know it's B rated when one day use too much blood. Too much. Yes. Yes, yes. It looks too thick and juicy.

SPEAKER_03

Yes. It's not that like thin like consistency.

SPEAKER_02

It's a little bit darker. Yeah. You know what I mean? It doesn't look really, it's just always darker. And I feel like they just splatter it everywhere just to get a scene.

SPEAKER_03

Mm-hmm. I just think they just try to use the shock factor more. Like that's why we've talked about Terrifier and everything, but I just feel like the first. The first two were a little B rated because I feel like.

SPEAKER_02

Terrifier was supposed to be B rated.

SPEAKER_03

They use so like the fucking nub scene.

SPEAKER_02

Mm-hmm.

SPEAKER_03

First off, that still is the most trauma.

SPEAKER_02

That scene. That scene. That scene. How she how she's still alive.

SPEAKER_03

She was.

SPEAKER_02

She was just sitting there going.

SPEAKER_03

Look, just uh like ma'am.

SPEAKER_02

How are you still moving? How are you still alive?

SPEAKER_03

Like I would-skinned you, he nubbed you.

SPEAKER_02

And then you pour his all and you're wounded like I don't understand how you're still just physically able to stuff.

SPEAKER_03

Bitch, if I walked in there and I saw bitch, I would die. Like I would be like, what?

SPEAKER_02

It's the fact that you're you're just so nubby and your your face was skull. Skull. And he's just in there. Pouring salt on your wounds, and you just no. If I would have walked in on her, I was like, okay.

SPEAKER_03

I would be like, Art, meaning you're gonna talk. I need to talk. What is your what is your situation? And there's always trauma. There's always like I know we kind of talked about in the beginning, but there is there's always like an issue that they're trying to work through, or like the people that has to work through the issue are the ones that really has to like do everything. Like they're either the last two that survives, or they have to be like, okay, I guess we gotta work together.

SPEAKER_02

Right, right. And it's always and speaking of like that type of situation, it'll be somebody in the the college group.

SPEAKER_01

Mm-hmm.

SPEAKER_02

There's two people who don't necessarily it's all it's always the weird one who doesn't fit the group.

SPEAKER_01

Mm-hmm.

SPEAKER_02

And it's either them with the jock, or them with just the normal other person. Or like them with the like the not necessarily bully, but like the one who bullied them when they were younger, but somehow you're still in the same group.

SPEAKER_03

Correct. Because they're see it's always it's always starts out with them, like they're it they're going to the space. They're either around like a campfire, they're drinking, they're doing a party, and then somebody says something that's gonna unveil the secret between the two. And then that's when like somebody either storms off in the forest, storms off in whatever, and then they get killed, and then shit just goes down.

SPEAKER_02

Or it's like the nerd the quiet one, not nerd sorry nerd, just like the email quiet one.

SPEAKER_03

Right, right.

SPEAKER_02

Dated little Ricky over here, but Ricky now dating Martha who's the whore. You know what I mean? It's like one of those situations that little Ricky.

SPEAKER_03

Not spectacular, pleasure P.

SPEAKER_02

But you know what I mean? Like it's like that, like, why are you still in this friendship group? I mean, I granted she could be friends with everybody else though. Or it's like with the girl that they were they got popular, and they still like their moms are best friends, and yes, and they had to work together at the end too, because like you had like the normal girl over here or whatever, who's still friends with this group, but then like this like little Miss Mary Sue over here got popular or whatnot. But they're like their families like they used to be best friends when they're growing up, but then she got popular. And right and they got a battle. We got in a battle, and then they have to be the ones working together at the end, and they're like, I'm so sorry. Exactly. It ends with I didn't mean to do that. I didn't mean to abandon our friendship. Exactly.

SPEAKER_03

And then they like are now best friends.

SPEAKER_02

Crack at the end of the day.

SPEAKER_03

Mm-hmm. Mm-hmm. Mm-hmm. That literally happens every time. Like, we watched so many just random random ass movies.

SPEAKER_02

But uh it's always the college ones.

SPEAKER_03

It look, but it's all the descriptions are literally the same. Five college kids.

SPEAKER_02

And we already know. Uh, B rated. As soon as you see five college kids, you're like, alright, this is a B rated.

SPEAKER_03

This is B rated. Some of them are fun though. Like, I'm telling you, if y'all have not seen the farm, it's on YouTube.

SPEAKER_02

The farm, the farm's really good.

SPEAKER_03

I'm sorry. The farm is the farm that scene will traumatize me.

SPEAKER_02

For every bus scene.

SPEAKER_03

For that, because we it just like it just I feel like the baby scene happened, then like 10 seconds later the busting happened.

SPEAKER_02

The busting got me. Because I thought that they were I thought I thought they were good and Gucci.

SPEAKER_03

But bitch. First off, I need to know. Did y'all have a meeting? Let's go to the bus. Y'all was not only on this bus, but thick, but dressed.

SPEAKER_02

How did you know that they were going to the bus?

SPEAKER_03

That is what I'm saying.

SPEAKER_02

Because the way they set it up, nobody would knew. They were clean. Like nobody knew that they were going to the bus.

SPEAKER_03

That's why that's why it threw me off so much. Because when they turned around, they said, We're gonna hurt.

SPEAKER_02

They said they were like they're going on a filtry.

SPEAKER_03

Like they were with their they had their weapons and then masks.

SPEAKER_02

They just said they were like ready like they're going on a filter.

SPEAKER_03

And then I just need to know, like, did y'all not run after that? Did y'all just stay? Like because after that y'all were turkeys. After that y'all were golden brown.

SPEAKER_02

Y'all were golden brown on these platters. Platters. Oh, but why did you go to that scene right after? Like, y'all could have ended up.

SPEAKER_03

That was such. Like, I feel like towards the end that was not really B-rated because they like got a lot of. They got a lot of action. Um But at the same time, it's like That was pretty The bus scene.

SPEAKER_02

Like, where are we going? Like what? We need to post that bus scene. We do. We do. We will post that bus scene. So y'all know.

SPEAKER_03

We're gonna post that bus scene today because when I tell y'all that, we were in the living room because we were in the hot apartment. So we was like, okay, yeah. We're gonna take a sip. Oh shit, we're gonna take a sip, y'all. Cause um we are iced coffee with heavy scream, so that's real hot. You know, and he didn't have to open the door like that. He didn't. He didn't, he's supposed to all the air up. But he did, because we finally got comfortable. We was you know, the fans were where they needed to go. You know, and he just he just opened it and that.

SPEAKER_02

And left it open.

SPEAKER_03

He did, he did, and I was working from home, so I was trying to take calls.

SPEAKER_02

And I was working from home as well.

SPEAKER_03

We were, we were, bitch. We were trying to live our lives.

SPEAKER_02

We were he just opened it up and that shit swatted our faces so quickly, I felt like it was melting. My eyebrows are melting off.

SPEAKER_03

That apartment has so much trauma and it's okay.

SPEAKER_02

It's alright.

SPEAKER_03

It's okay. Um, what else should we like? Okay. Because we watched a lot of fucking horror.

SPEAKER_02

So I think the other thing that um you can notice uh for it to be uh be rated horror is just the acting alone.

SPEAKER_03

I was gonna say, they definitely it's very much Billy.

SPEAKER_02

It's very what are you doing? Very over-enunciation.

SPEAKER_03

Over no over just over.

SPEAKER_02

Like just overacting in the very one level. Nothing is a dynamic in their acting. It's very flat. It's just very one dynamic the whole entire time. But you do have that one person who's decent. Right, that could probably was some like you know, but like it's always that one person or the other people who are just very just over enunciated, very just like super drama filled, or like it it feels like it feels like somebody got somebody off the street and filmed with their phones and almost type of deal.

SPEAKER_01

I know what you mean.

SPEAKER_02

Just you know and no acting from it, no direction of maybe say it this way.

SPEAKER_03

Yeah, there's no yeah, like there's no direction as far as like what we want this mood of this scene to really be. And they over they overact. Because they're it's just very overcompensating.

SPEAKER_02

And like, you know, some some some might call for that, like some might say yes, it's very just dramatized, just overact everything. Like some people who direct and produce like those type of movies probably tell the actors that. Yeah, but then there's those ones who you know try to make it like a very good movie that don't tell them like anything. Right. That they're just kind of like But every like they have the storyline almost, like they have they have the factors there, yeah. But then the acting takes away.

SPEAKER_03

Yeah. Because if it's not believable with the acting, then it just I can't believe your storyline. I can't believe Susie Lou that you are sad about Jacob Lang, right? Because you're like, oh my gosh, or no.

SPEAKER_02

It is it's always the overdramatic, like cry face.

SPEAKER_03

What is that? What's a grill?

SPEAKER_02

The fact that like you, you she was behind you. Um you didn't see her. Which tells me that you guys went over the scene.

SPEAKER_03

Oh my god.

SPEAKER_02

So you knew she was there.

SPEAKER_03

Oh my god.

SPEAKER_02

And I think that like you forgot that you were filming.

SPEAKER_01

Mm-hmm.

SPEAKER_02

Almost. Yeah. Because like you can't just sit there and turn around and go, you didn't even like gasp really. Correct. You startled me.

SPEAKER_03

But she, I was laughing for a good three hours after that with how she said that. I said, girl.

SPEAKER_02

Like if you were any type of a good actress like you would, you would like Yeah, look at that. And then like, oh my god, you startled me. No, she said, You startled me. You startled me.

SPEAKER_03

She was like that movie was crazy. She was trying to kill everybody. That grandma, I was like Granny was trying to just push people down the stairs. And when they when people get pushed down the stairs and be movies, the physical, like the physicality of it is the funniest shit I've ever seen in my life.

SPEAKER_02

Because it's not realistic. They fall for three hours and they just roll their bodies every direction. And then when they hit their head, they don't hit their head. You can see it. Like you can it's another thing. You can see the things that happen. Like you can see the things that happen.

SPEAKER_03

And too, with so we get like either they're in, you know, they go to these places, they either get chased by a killer or possession. Some of them get possession. Now, I think for the possession ones, you want to talk about over, like over-exaggerating. They definitely over-exaggerate with that compared to like the exorcism of Emily Rose and stuff like that that are very you can be possessed. Um you could be that, but you don't have to be like insane the way that they have you know, the way that some of them are. Right. They're like, I'm not you're like, whoa.

SPEAKER_02

Common.

SPEAKER_03

You can literally just sit there and just be like, Hello. Like, right, act different.

SPEAKER_02

Don't like sit here and they just over-dramatize. Just be dram oh, I don't know.

SPEAKER_03

It's just very over-dramatic for everything that they do.

SPEAKER_02

Right.

SPEAKER_03

And I feel like that's just the the caliber between the actors and them is really kind of what and the makeup, the makeup for like those type of things are just the mask.

SPEAKER_02

Like just everything is so generic. But like granted, at the same time, at the same time, I'm not faulting people who want to, you know, make movies and stuff, and it just happens to be B rated.

SPEAKER_03

Again, we have watched and we will watch B rated, so this is just like what we've seen. Right. So yeah.

SPEAKER_02

And it's not and and you know, we don't know the budget. We don't know the budget. Type of deal. But like just watching these movies, they're all it's like everybody watches each other and does what the other person does. Yeah. And try to make it their own. But it doesn't work because somebody else did it.

SPEAKER_03

Yeah.

SPEAKER_02

And it's just not original anymore.

SPEAKER_03

Mm-hmm. I feel like a lot of the B-rated horror troops do have kind of the same.

SPEAKER_02

And I think that's why we liked the farm because it wasn't the same type of B-rated movie. It was its own little different type of thing. And like it just worked.

SPEAKER_03

I think it was just, it had a really good plot to it. Cause even like the the um the pumping scene when when all the women were I said, oh my. Oh my. Um, you know, the scenes were it was it grabbed our attention enough to it. And that's that's the thing, like we've watched, and we're obviously not gonna like name because honestly, I don't freaking remember all of these movies that we've watched because we've watched so many. But like there are movies that you know we can start and we already know, you know, three minutes in, we know exactly what it's gonna be. What is gonna happen because we've watched so many of the B-rated war movies. So, you know, the farm didn't we didn't know what was happening, and we were very surprised.

SPEAKER_02

Right. And it's and it's the trailer always gets me too. Like, because when you when we watch the trailer, we're like, oh, that's a pretty good movie. Like it's B-rated, but like oh, that's gonna be good.

SPEAKER_03

Because we love B-rated movies. Like, we I personally think a good campy like B-rated movie, I would watch that over a blockbuster or whatever, anytime. Because that's where that's you know, horror roots. That's like where a lot of these horror genres start, which is fine with me. But yeah, the trailer sometimes just looks uh, or have you ever seen Sick? I think that's what it's called. I think we've watched it together. It was in COVID. Like they got they went into I think Blumhouse actually did it, but I like never really saw any promo about it. But they were in a cabin because they were quarantined or whatever, and um the one girl gave the girl gave the guy COVID at a party when they were supposed to be locked down. So the parents were actually um like the killers in that movie. I think we've watched it because Fred was over here. We've watched it. I know we have. So I think like B-rated stuff like that, like that was Oh, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait. Yeah, so they came, they left school, they went to like this big old like cabin in the woods type of situation. It was like a house, but it was it was a very, a very good house. It was a very nice house.

SPEAKER_02

Is this the one that had that daughter?

SPEAKER_03

Mm-hmm. So like the daughter went to like in the beginning, the guy got killed in the apartment. Right. Because he threw the party.

SPEAKER_02

Right.

SPEAKER_03

So then it cut to then the girls leaving the hike leaving the school to go to the house, and then we like towards the end or whatever, they were obviously getting like terrorized and shit. But the killers were the so the parents of the son, and they had a video of the girl basically kissing the son at a party when they were supposed to be locked down and the son got COVID and dad. And that's why they were killing. So, like that was t I would technically, yes, it was made by Blumhouse, but because like I didn't even see any, like we stumbled on it. So I would consider that kind of stuff. That's what I'm saying. And that was actually super good because me and you were like, oh shit, we didn't even like we didn't anticipate the actual like reveal of the killer. So that like those are the kind of concepts that we love to watch and be rated. So you can still be a B-rated and have like a pretty good I still don't see a lot of people talking about that, but that was a good movie.

SPEAKER_02

It was. I actually like that.

SPEAKER_03

The acting in there was good.

SPEAKER_02

It was, it was really good. I did plot twists and stuff too.

SPEAKER_03

I was like that plot twist at the end, and I feel like they just don't have good plot twists sometimes.

SPEAKER_02

They don't. They don't have they it's just straight. That's what yeah straight through.

SPEAKER_03

Mm-hmm. Mm-hmm.

SPEAKER_02

And it's very it's like just like okay, that's it. And then by the time it gets to the end, you're like, oh.

SPEAKER_03

Like, oh, okay, we've determined this like 10 minutes ago. We figured this out at the start of the show. Like okay, so I guess. Alright. That's cool.

SPEAKER_02

It is and it and just no backstories at all. Like, I don't know.

SPEAKER_03

That's what I didn't mean you love backstories.

SPEAKER_02

And that's the thing, we love back you don't have to do it right away. Right, but just like somewhere within like the twenty the 20 minutes or so, don't sit here and wait all the way till the end of the movie.

SPEAKER_03

That's what I hate too, is when they try to reveal the entire like lineage of somebody's family or the entire just plot in the last 10 minutes, and you're like, let me catch up.

SPEAKER_02

Right. And now they forgot about like Peggy over here. No, like yeah, Peggy, and then like That's what I'm saying. Peggy was the auntie of Britney's mom's sister's son, like that type of thing.

SPEAKER_03

Like I'm not gonna remember that.

SPEAKER_02

You can tell me that's what I'm saying.

SPEAKER_03

Because then that makes me with our brains especially, then that makes me be like, okay, well, then that other part doesn't make sense because I haven't had time to connect the dots of what has been going on since the beginning versus now.

SPEAKER_02

Right, because it could have said a name that like was only at the beginning. But like at this time, so much has happened. I forgot about that name at the beginning.

SPEAKER_03

Correct.

SPEAKER_02

Or like a picture they look at.

SPEAKER_03

And now I'm trying to figure out why y'all are the killers, or like what is happening when I'm still trying to figure out this this plot. So I think that's what happens unfortunately just a lot in some, some, some, some of these B-rated movies. Is yeah, the plot, they just try to like do everything at the end, and we like they try to just go straight through and then like, oh, here's the plot, by the way. Correct.

SPEAKER_02

Or here's a backstory, by the way.

SPEAKER_03

And it's like, I need a little more.

SPEAKER_02

Right, I needed that at the beginning, so I don't know what's going on now, why we led up to this particular, correct. Because now I'm so like, but the picture that you showed us at the beginning, what does that have to do with now? Correct. Where did that come into? You don't give me a blur. I need more. But what happened to Peggy to make her this, to make them this, to make them this.

SPEAKER_03

Correct, because right now I'm confused about this is why Scream 7 absolutely fucking sucked. I hate I'm so sorry. Scream, you're telling me this random ass lady is just gonna you gonna reveal her as the killer? Scream 7.

SPEAKER_02

What made me mad was who's this man that killed with you?

SPEAKER_03

Mm-hmm.

SPEAKER_02

He was there for two seconds in this movie.

SPEAKER_03

Because apparently he he was part of the listen, I'm just really upset that Stu's dead. I'm not gonna lie. I just I felt like I really tricked me with the AI. I was I held on so hard.

SPEAKER_02

They tricked me with the AI.

SPEAKER_03

Like I held on for 20 something years since Scream 1.

SPEAKER_02

Because I was like, oh, he maybe he was in the mental health.

SPEAKER_03

That's what I'm saying. I was like, oh my gosh, am I gonna be able to see Stu again? I love Stu's my favorite ghost face. I love him. I don't like chocolate, but I will let him do whatever he wants to me. Matthew Lillard threw Charles to court. Um I'm just saying. Um, but like I was I was so hopeful. I was so hopeful.

SPEAKER_02

So hopeful.

SPEAKER_03

And you're gonna reveal, like, at least make it his sister. At least make it somebody you're mayor that like Sydney moved or some shit.

SPEAKER_02

Because I thought, so what I thought was the lady was Matthew Willard's like sister. Sister.

SPEAKER_03

That's what was like a rumor of or something. Which would I would be like, alright.

SPEAKER_02

Because like they told him getting out of the cycle. Right. They said he got out, whatever. And I was like, oh, maybe he met this woman.

SPEAKER_03

Correct. Which is fine. Like I wouldn't be fine.

SPEAKER_02

And I thought that that their son.

SPEAKER_03

Right. So I would be fine if there was any type of connection. Because my thing, it it just kind of gave me what Halloween did.

SPEAKER_02

I just wanted to finish it.

SPEAKER_03

Cor it gave me very much yes. And then they what I also hated about that. Listen, guys, this movie pissed me the fuck off. Because what I hated is they made Sydney's daughter so weak. They then when I understand Sid that you're, you know, you're trying to make her have the life you had. Correct. I do understand that, but you have set her up to not even be like you're Sidney Prescott's daughter, and you can't even fight Doseface.

SPEAKER_02

Mm-hmm.

SPEAKER_03

That's an issue.

SPEAKER_02

That is a very big issue.

SPEAKER_03

Like, at least Lori was trying to get her daughter, like she was giving her lessons from the beginning. Right. You know, now she was looked at as a cuckoo old lady, which they need to apologize to her. She she got the she needs an apology. Because guess what? She was right. The boogeyman came back. He said I said I I would love to hear him talk. I would too. I know he talked like a little bit in the beginning. I would too. You know. But now that he's just an evil force of evil, I guess, he's just just pure pure evil. Um, if you do not know, we did killer versus killer a little bit ago. And we did talk about Michael.

SPEAKER_02

We did. To go back and listen to that.

SPEAKER_03

And go back to listen, yes, yes. Um killer Michael versus Jason, let us know.

SPEAKER_02

Let us know.

SPEAKER_03

Who who you thought, who you thought. Yes. Um, so you know, I just they just they could have at least, you know, said, hey, because my thing is if my li if my family has a lineage of being chased by a a creature or a killer, we gonna talk about that since you know.

SPEAKER_02

I'ma need to know.

SPEAKER_03

That's what I'm saying. Because he went after Alliston and shit, and she wasn't even alive.

SPEAKER_02

I'ma need to know.

SPEAKER_03

So if I'm in this family, you're gonna come after me regardless. Okay, let's talk about it.

SPEAKER_02

And let's see what we can do because I'm you're not coming after me because I had nothing to do with it.

SPEAKER_03

Correct.

SPEAKER_02

I'm seven generations behind. That was my ancestors. Correct. You need to talk to Auntie. I was over here learning my school.

SPEAKER_03

I was In a kindergarten.

SPEAKER_02

Like I was in the womb.

SPEAKER_03

In the womb. So I don't know what you gotta what you got a problem with me for, but I didn't even do nothing.

SPEAKER_02

Correct. And if you want revenge on my people, do something else. Correct. Because I am still just trying to do it.

SPEAKER_03

I'm trying to live my life. Just saying. Michael and Ghostface. Correct. Oh, they're mad as hell. Okay.

SPEAKER_02

Anyway.

SPEAKER_03

But okay, so I I mean that, you know, again, we love our B-rated.

SPEAKER_02

We do love B rated.

SPEAKER_03

We will definitely continue to watch all the B-rated movies that we see on Netflix a thousand, a thousand times. We're probably gonna watch them today.

SPEAKER_02

Correct, probably, probably that's probably yeah, yeah.

SPEAKER_03

Umong other things.

SPEAKER_02

So, yeah, I mean, I think that and then I meant definitely let us know if we missed anything that you saw that's very trendy about B Rated because we would love to hear what you think is trendy.

Um we did kind of announce-ish um about bubbles and brews not fully, but we kind of pushed a little bit, um, but we are starting that. Um just be out look out for more of that information to come.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah.

SPEAKER_02

Um I think that's it. Any other information?

SPEAKER_03

No, I think we are B-rated and and screamed out.

SPEAKER_02

Yes, I am tickled. My tickled.

SPEAKER_03

Not tickled.

SPEAKER_02

My scary bone is tickled.

SPEAKER_03

Fred! Fred need to do a delivery because I want some Fred doing something delivery. Right, because I got milk, so I'm like I wanna need it. Tell him I need a toilet paper roll too. Oh god Tell him I need one. Tell him I need one.

SPEAKER_02

All right, little good next time. Time to tell me.
