Welcome back to the Speaking of Phenomenal podcast. I'm your host, Amy Boyle. Today, we're taking a quick break from our usual interviews to chat about my week and reflect on the incredible journey of season three so far. We've had guests like Jennifer Jones, who kicked off season three with her experience as the first African -American radio city rockette, and Dr. Debbie Silber, who brought us powerful insights on transformation after betrayal.
We also explored themes of resilience and self -discovery with guests like Juliana Zabala, who's been a game changer in youth sports and flag football for girls, and Heather Eaton, who shared her journey from management consulting to launching her own brand. We've embraced the importance of following our own unique path with Dana Frost and Ariane Nettles offered wisdom on the power of storytelling. Each episode has been a reminder of
of just how phenomenal we all are when we embrace our stories and our strengths. But let's get real for a moment. Life doesn't always follow a neat and tidy schedule, does it? This week, I found myself juggling so many exciting opportunities. I just finished my first quarter teaching graduate students at Medill. What a full circle moment that was. The energy, the creativity and passion I've seen in my students have been both humbling and exhilarating.
But last week didn't stop there, it actually began at a rally in Milwaukee for Kamala Harris and Tim Walz, which was absolutely electrifying. The very next morning we traveled to Champaign to take our youngest to start his senior year of college. Another milestone that fills me with immense pride. Following that, I attended the third night of the DNC in Chicago, which was packed with powerful moments. did somebody say, bruh?
We can't wait to leave here and do something. All before Governor Wallace accepted his nomination as VP running mate to the current Vice President Kamala Harris's presidential ticket. I also managed to sneak in a quick trip to St. Paul, Minnesota and took the new Borealis Amtrak back to Sweet Home, Chicago. Slow travel was just what I needed to unwind from the go -go -go of this week.

There's something so peaceful about letting the rhythm of the train carry you away. It's a great reminder to step back, breathe and recharge. And let me tell you, that brief getaway was time well spent planning something new and exciting that will be launching soon. I can't spill all the details just yet, but trust me, it's going to be worth the wait. It's been a whirlwind these last eight days and I've learned a lot about balancing it all.
It's okay to say yes to the opportunities that pushes out of our comfort zone, but it is equally important to take those moments to slow down and recharge. Remember, every moment, no matter how chaotic, is a part of the journey. Embrace it all, even the chaos, because that's where change happens. Often, it's not just the experiences themselves, but how you handle them that leads to the most profound growth.
Now before we wrap up, I'd like to take a moment and share a few thoughts from our phenomenal listeners and supporters who've been tuning in throughout the season. Here's a review from Dr. Kim.
She knows of our commitment to each of those roles and has taught women to acknowledge our individual talents while saying out loud, I am phenomenal. Thank you so much. I met you as a complete stranger and slowly but surely you feel like family. Keep up the great work. I can't thank you enough, Kim. Your comments, support and friendship just mean the world to me. So what about you? How do you balance your busy life? I'd love to hear your thoughts.
Share them in the comments below or text the show. And don't forget to subscribe to the Speaking Phenomenal podcast for more inspiring stories. Until next time, take care and remember, you are phenomenal.
