DO YOU LOVE HIM! PART 4

Send us a text

In Matthew 12:43-45 it reads; When an impure spirit comes out of a person, it goes through arid places seeking rest and does not find it. Then it says, ‘I will return to the house I left.’ When it arrives, it finds the house unoccupied, swept clean and put in order. Then it goes and takes with it seven other spirits more wicked than itself, and they go in and live there. And the final condition of that person is worse than the first. That is how it will be with this wicked generation.” The last thing one wants to do is to allow someone who they have introduced to Christ to be worse off than when they met them. When a person is led to Christ, the house or spirit of that person has been swept, cleaned and put in order. The prayer that has been prayed fills it for that moment and the new Christian goes on with joy. But what happens later? What happens after that house is swept, cleaned, put in order but still empty? When leading someone to Christ the house or spirit of that person not only needs to be swept, cleaned and put in order but it needs to become filled and occupied. It must be filled with the word of God, with the weapons of warfare and most importantly occupied by the Holy Ghost. It must be ready so that not if, but when those evil spirits try to return they won’t find the house empty but full of whatever is needed to keep those wicked spirits out. New lambs as well as the older and more mature sheep need to be fed and taken care of.  We must hear our Savior's voice as He asks each of us, "Do we love Him?" If the answer to His question to us is yes, then we must not only feed His sheep and lambs but also take care of  them.
