Craig Johnstone is flying high in the whisky world. He was recently taken on by the American company Brown Forman to promote its recently acquired single malts - BenRiach, Glendronach and Glenglassaugh - in key and emerging markets. Put simply, his “patch” is the world – apart from Europe and North America! Some of these markets – China and Japan, Australia and New Zealand, South Africa – are very mature. Others are just beginning to understand that the whisky made in Scotland is different, special and perhaps rather more expensive that other global spirits. We met up with him to find out something of his background.
