Jesus is always stepping into our suffering. He moves beyond empathy and into compassion. With Jesus, that compassion compels him to action. The characters in the story proclaim, “God has visited his people!” He didn’t just visit; he moved in. A beautiful story has unfolded. We see Jesus fully human and fully divine. Once again, we see Him performing miracles not for himself but for the benefit of others.
