The Down and Off a podcast for members, alumni, friends, and family of the University of Iowa Hawkeye Marching Band. Hosted by Alums John Brown ('85-'89) and Tim Clay ('08-'12). Our plan is to dive through the rich history of the HMB, interview folks from over the years, give you a chance to share your stories, learn about the HMB, relive memories, and share in the On Iowa cheer. Down & Off ends the 2025-26 season with a great discussion with the wonderful Diana Reed! Diana was Golden Girl for the Hawkeye Marching Band for the 2002 through 2006 seasons. She shares memories of shows, trips, and journeys since then! How do Golden Girls make their shows? How did the audition process go? How many Drum Majors did she get to work with?
