Welcome to the For the Gospel podcast, where we're all about sound doctrine for everyday people. I'm your host, Kosti Hinn, and on today's episode, I want to give glory to God for the way that For the Gospel has made an impact this year. I want to share what that impact has looked like with you and also provide you with four ways to support for the gospel in 2023 moving forward. You know, over the last two years since this ministry officially launched, it's been a goal of ours constantly to provide resources that are loaded with sound doctrine and that would help everyone understand biblical truth and of course to evangelize the lost. We don't really uh try to divide our ministry into, you know, well, this is only about believers and other people can focus on unbelievers. We view ourselves most definitely as trying to support Christians and churches across the world, but also praying and hoping that unbelievers would come into contact with the gospel through our resources and be saved. We want for the gospel and aim for for the gospel to be useful to churches, to pastors, and to everyday people like you and me. This year, by the grace of God, we have seen our monthly reach range from as little or as low as 600,000 people to uh peak month at one and a half million people being reached this year. And I share with you those numbers, not to be pragmatic or boastful. Also, I certainly there are ministries that have much larger reach than us. But in God's kindness, just focused on what we've been trying to do, and not by way of comparison to others in the body of Christ, we are seeing for the gospel make its way into people's lives. And what that tells us, and what I want to share with you, is that people are finding this ministry useful. Not a week goes by without regular reviews and feedback from listeners. We get direct messages from all over the world, of course, many from here in America. As people share the way that the programming, the videos, the podcasts, the articles are having an impact. I've gotten messages from pastors that have thanked for the gospel for putting out evangelism resources or for doing our DTR series or the marriage series because uh the pastor is preaching through a different book of the Bible. People in the church are looking to grow on a certain topic, and they come to for the gospel, they find it, and they're growing throughout the week. And now that pastor feels like he has support or backing in that area. I preach at Shepherd's House every week. I'm an expository preacher. We're going verse by verse through Ephesians, and right now we're in the section in verses 11 and onward about spiritual gifts, but there are people in our church using marriage resources because they're trying to grow in marriage. And I think, man, I'm so glad that there are pastors and people. I'm glad that our team for the gospel has put together resources that deal with other topics because right now I'm preaching about spiritual gifts, and I can't this Sunday just derail the sermon to deal with a different topic. I have to follow the text. And so other pastors say the same thing. We're grateful that there is such a wide menu of resources. We have gotten a lot of messages this year from parents. More people happen to be uh homeschooling more than ever because of a little bit of the craziness going on in our culture. But also, if even if they're not homeschooling, more parents are taking the discipleship in their home more serious than ever before. I think over the last few years, we have all come to see the weight of the home, the importance of fathers and mothers pouring into their children, the madness in our culture, you could just see it on TikTok, and in a lot of ways with this next generation, the gender dysphoria, the madness, the gender ideologies that are being pushed. If parents do not have a grasp of sound doctrine and they're not planting seeds of sound doctrine early in their child's lives, well, it's going to be a real challenge. And so we are seeing parents use our resources. And of course, many people internationally have been using these resources. Our podcast episodes are downloaded in nearly every country in the world. Uh, both myself and also a really fun report, uh, Johnny Artavanis, who hosts Dial In here now at For the Gospel, uh, has a massive Asian populace that has begun to download the podcast and are being blessed. And so the goal was never to be some global ministry and you know reach everybody around the world. The goal was just to put out sound doctrine and God is using it. And I know many of those people include you who are listening. Um, on that note, with what God has provided financially this past year, we were able to bring Johnny Artavanis into the mix and dial in ministries and have Johnny join our executive leadership team and jump on our board, and we are also able to merge and see dial-in programming added into the for the gospel menu. And we have launched Date Night with the Woods this year, bringing in uh Anthony Wood and Bree Wood, his wife, Anthony Pastors Mission Bible Church in Orange County, California, and their programming focuses on marriages and family. And we added women's contributors like Grace Anna Castleberry and her amazing husband Grant, who I love dearly, and his pastoral wisdom and theological clarity has been so needed across the board. We had our Mormonism resource launched. We launched our Catholic or Roman Catholicism resource. That was with Mike Gendron, and the Mormonism resource was with Micah Wilder. On and on and on, we saw content explode, and people's feedback tells us that these resources were incredibly useful. In addition to those more uh advancement moves with content production, we also were able to hire a full-time creative content manager, and I think he's a lot more than that. But Justin Bond has been just a huge blessing to for the gospel. When you see videos done with excellence, along with the work that goes into filming, editing, all of the series we do. That's all Justin Bond behind the scenes, and he has been an incredible blessing to this ministry this year. As we turn our sights to 2023, we want to expand our resources again, just like we did this year, adding even more content, dealing with even more topics. I want to do a series on Islam, uh, the NAR, secular humanism. We want to add workbooks for small groups and also launch our first annual conference. We did the DTR conference, and that was awesome. But now we want to have a regular annual conference where we can minister to people and have that be something we can look forward to. Uh, in addition to that, I know that everyone on our team, including Johnny Artavanis, have new projects that they want to expand. I know Johnny has done an amazing job uh preaching and teaching through series after series on dial in. We want to see him explode with even more of that type of content where you can go through various topics and be blessed by his incredible gift of teaching. And in addition to all of this, we're looking to expand our team and add two more support staff members who can streamline the administrative side of things behind the scenes in the ministry. Also to take our social media department to the next level to curate and organize the hundreds and hundreds of resources we now have in our libraries so that people can easily search and use them in a variety of formats. For me, and I know for our team, it's all about leveraging what God has given us to reach people with sound doctrine. As God provides, every effort and every dollar has to be geared towards that. And that's our focus. Um, in other eras, you know, ministries would have to ask people to give millions and millions of dollars because budgeted expenses were high, being on radio, being in different formats on media, would mean that budgets had to be numbered in the expanse of millions upon millions and upon millions. And there could be a need for that for much larger ministries. For us, we're hoping to increase this year's operating budget by about $250,000 on top of the baseline budget we already have been utilizing. That is around $350,000. So that would bring us as a ministry to a modest, but we're thankful, uh, $600,000 annual budget, which allows us to advance our mission in what we would say are massive ways. There's four ways you can jump on board to help us this year. And here they are. Number one, you could commit to making a generous end of your gift. We plan our entire budget ahead of time, and we are committed to never overspending what God has not first provided. So that means whatever we end up raising in 2022 becomes our 2023 budget. If you're familiar with our ministry already, you've seen the kind of resources we put out, and so with your generous support, we're just going to increase that in 2023. So maybe pray about committing to make a generous end-of-year gift. Number two, you could commit to being a monthly gospel patron. One of the greatest blessings to our ministry is being able to plan ahead. We don't kind of wing it at for the gospel. We are very strategic. We think through what we want to do and what it's going to take. And so regular monthly gospel patrons make it so that we have a baseline to pray, to plan, and to predict what we can add and how we can further our mission with each passing month and eventually years. And so you could commit to being a monthly gospel patron. Third, you could ask your church about becoming a monthly gospel patron through the church avenue. You know, ministries like ours exist to serve and strengthen churches, and we want pastors to feel that sense of support and even that sense of relief when people are consuming our resources, knowing that what we say is only backing what he's already teaching over the course of his entire ministry. And so if your church has been blessed by for the gospel, consider partnering with us. And if you did do that, there are some really neat ways that our team would love to bless your church and your pastor and make it a valuable partnership and something that serves him well. We love local churches. I love the local church, and as a pastor, there's nothing better than seeing other pastors thrive. And so for the gospel is going to gear its work towards that, no doubt. And finally, you can pray for our ministry regularly. Financial support is great, and money does fuel ministry or push it forward. But who are we kidding? If we were to ignore prayer, prayer is still and always will be the best way to support what we are doing. We believe in the power of prayer. This ministry started and has been sustained through prayer. Any effort we've ever put into ministry that has done something significant is only because of prayer and God's power working through it. We trust God's will for this ministry. We've actually put out a lot of resources about the will of God, and that is something we take very seriously for ourselves as well. If God wills to provide abundantly more each year, we will steward it well. If he chooses or wills to limit what comes in each year, we'll still steward it well. The only thing that I ever want for for the gospel is the same thing that I want for the church that I lead at Shepherd's House, for my own family, and for you, and that is God's will to be done. Whatever that looks like, prayer is the key to it all. And so please, please, please ask the Lord to provide, ask him to direct, to shape, and to make this ministry what he wants it to be. Ask him to open doors for us that only he can open and to shut the doors that he wants to shut. Please pray. And I know regardless of financial support, all of us can pray.
