The blockchain economy is taking over. To understand what this means for us, in this episode, we have Brian Kuttikkat from Coin DCX.
Brian is originally from a law background and made the move to Tech after working at various payment startups.
So what exactly is Web 3.0? Brian mentions the history of the web, from its humble beginnings to be able to send emails. He describes the jump to Web 3.0 as the next level, much like how the internet of today was the next level up from simple emailing.
Web 3.0 is when everything out there is completely digital. The whole world will be powered digitally with everything run on digital platform.
There are 3 parts to Web 3.0, namely Crypto, NFTs and the Metaverse.
The transparency of the system is the key highlight to this, says Brian.
Sandbox, while is not the first player, seems to be the player who has demonstated success in the metaverse.
Sandbox has created virtual reality places which people can visit and interact with others in.
The rules for the community is set by the members themselves. It is completely decentralized, the SAND token is used to create powerful incentives for players to participate in the Sandbox ecosystem.
The token seems to be a great investment too, starting out at 4 cents, and rising to even 8$, (but please do your independent research things are changing all the time)
Adidas, Samsung and many more powerful brands like the Snoop Dogg, are entering the sandbox Metaworld and creating valid use cases for the SAND token.
While there are many risks involved, where exactly this exciting area is heading remains to be seen.
