Theology tends to take liberties with the scriptures whether they are Jewish or Christian theology. My JPS Bible (Jewish translation from the Hebrew) has even taken some liberties with their translation of the Bible and the JPS says we are not to say God's real name even though it does not say that in the Hebrew. Strong's Dictionary even disagrees with their wrong translation. 

 Why do they change the meaning of the scriptures? It is to support their false doctrine. Proverbs 4:2 NKJV says, "For I give you good doctrine: Do not forsake my law." Deuteronomy 4:2 NKJV says, "You shall not add to the word which I command you, nor take from it, that you may keep the commandments of the LORD your God." Notice that it says they are God's commandments and not Jewish commandments. I hear that remark at times because people have been misled to think God's commandments are not good and were only for the Jews. Isn't that ridiculous? They are good doctrine and God's good commandments.
