State funds provided to serve low income students are at risk for districts throughout California. The pandemic has made it more difficult for districts to gather information from low income families which is used to generate Supplemental and Concentration Grant Funds even while the needs for these students are even greater. The unexpected drop in these counts will impact districts for several years if the state does not take action to hold districts harmless from this unexpected consequence of the pandemic.

Guests:
Christina Aguilar, Assistant Superintendent of Business Services, Downey Unified School District
Alvaro Meza, Assistant Superintendent of Business Services/CBO, Gilroy Unified School District
