And we"},{"speaker":"Christian","startTime":191.1,"endTime":195.96,"body":"got to go all over the country"},{"speaker":"Christian","startTime":195.96,"endTime":198.9,"body":"and got to go to Japan for a"},{"speaker":"Christian","startTime":195.96,"endTime":198.9,"body":"month. So to be able to do that"},{"speaker":"Christian","startTime":198.9,"endTime":204.21,"body":"show. So it was a"},{"speaker":"Christian","startTime":280.73,"endTime":286.46,"body":"part of the magnet program down"},{"speaker":"Christian","startTime":280.73,"endTime":286.46,"body":"here in South Florida, where"},{"speaker":"Christian","startTime":286.61,"endTime":290.03,"body":"each school has a different"},{"speaker":"Christian","startTime":286.61,"endTime":290.03,"body":"discipline. And you can bust"},{"speaker":"Christian","startTime":290.03,"endTime":293.12,"body":"kids in for that discipline. But"},{"speaker":"Christian","startTime":290.03,"endTime":293.12,"body":"a lot of times you have to"},{"speaker":"Christian","startTime":293.12,"endTime":296.15,"body":"audition or you know there's"},{"speaker":"Christian","startTime":293.12,"endTime":296.15,"body":"different reasons why sometimes"},{"speaker":"Christian","startTime":296.15,"endTime":301.13,"body":"you can't go to that school, but"},{"speaker":"Christian","startTime":296.15,"endTime":301.13,"body":"she made sure that The arts were"},{"speaker":"Christian","startTime":301.13,"endTime":305.93,"body":"going to be important in my life"},{"speaker":"Christian","startTime":301.13,"endTime":305.93,"body":"in some way. Did she know this"},{"speaker":"Christian","startTime":305.93,"endTime":310.79,"body":"was gonna happen? Absolutely"},{"speaker":"Christian","startTime":305.93,"endTime":310.79,"body":"not. But she, she knew how"},{"speaker":"Christian","startTime":310.79,"endTime":314.96,"body":"important the arts were it was"},{"speaker":"Christian","startTime":310.79,"endTime":314.96,"body":"instilled in her by her mother."},{"speaker":"Christian","startTime":315.26,"endTime":318.86,"body":"And so that's, that's really"},{"speaker":"Christian","startTime":315.26,"endTime":318.86,"body":"where it started. And I think"},{"speaker":"Christian","startTime":318.86,"endTime":322.97,"body":"because of that, I always"},{"speaker":"Christian","startTime":318.86,"endTime":322.97,"body":"thought it was possible, it was"},{"speaker":"Christian","startTime":322.97,"endTime":327.2,"body":"never not a possibility. Because"},{"speaker":"Christian","startTime":322.97,"endTime":327.2,"body":"even at in first grade, and"},{"speaker":"Christian","startTime":327.2,"endTime":331.01,"body":"second grade, I was learning all"},{"speaker":"Christian","startTime":327.2,"endTime":331.01,"body":"of the disciplines, I was going"},{"speaker":"Christian","startTime":331.01,"endTime":334.49,"body":"to dance, I was going to band."},{"speaker":"Christian","startTime":331.01,"endTime":334.49,"body":"And then in third grade, which"},{"speaker":"Christian","startTime":334.49,"endTime":337.73,"body":"is around the time, I decided I"},{"speaker":"Christian","startTime":334.49,"endTime":337.73,"body":"wanted to be an actor, they make"},{"speaker":"Christian","startTime":337.73,"endTime":340.58,"body":"you pick a major and a minor. So"},{"speaker":"Christian","startTime":337.73,"endTime":340.58,"body":"you stop doing all of the"},{"speaker":"Christian","startTime":340.58,"endTime":343.91,"body":"disciplines. And you, you major"},{"speaker":"Christian","startTime":340.58,"endTime":343.91,"body":"in one discipline, a new minor"},{"speaker":"Christian","startTime":343.91,"endTime":346.97,"body":"in another and I picked acting"},{"speaker":"Christian","startTime":343.91,"endTime":346.97,"body":"and in strings, where I played"},{"speaker":"Christian","startTime":346.97,"endTime":350.51,"body":"the viola, an acting program"},{"speaker":"Christian","startTime":346.97,"endTime":350.51,"body":"actually got cut later that"},{"speaker":"Christian","startTime":350.51,"endTime":355.49,"body":"year. And so Viola became my"},{"speaker":"Christian","startTime":350.51,"endTime":355.49,"body":"major and technical theater"},{"speaker":"Christian","startTime":355.49,"endTime":360.05,"body":"became a minor, but we still did"},{"speaker":"Christian","startTime":355.49,"endTime":360.05,"body":"shows, and it was between that"},{"speaker":"Christian","startTime":360.05,"endTime":363.44,"body":"and a production of cats that I"},{"speaker":"Christian","startTime":360.05,"endTime":363.44,"body":"saw, which is why I'm still a"},{"speaker":"Christian","startTime":363.44,"endTime":367.52,"body":"cat person to this day, between"},{"speaker":"Christian","startTime":363.44,"endTime":367.52,"body":"my initials being cat and cats"},{"speaker":"Christian","startTime":367.52,"endTime":370.55,"body":"being the first professional"},{"speaker":"Christian","startTime":367.52,"endTime":370.55,"body":"show I've seen, you know, I'm"},{"speaker":"Christian","startTime":370.55,"endTime":375.2,"body":"kind of stuck on the cat train."},{"speaker":"Christian","startTime":370.55,"endTime":375.2,"body":"But between those two things, it"},{"speaker":"Christian","startTime":375.2,"endTime":379.79,"body":"just felt right. And it felt,"},{"speaker":"Christian","startTime":375.2,"endTime":379.79,"body":"again, practical. I think that"},{"speaker":"Christian","startTime":379.79,"endTime":380.93,"body":"was the crazy part about it."},{"speaker":"Lady Grey","startTime":381.5,"endTime":384.35,"body":"A lot of people would"},{"speaker":"Lady Grey","startTime":381.5,"endTime":384.35,"body":"see that as very outrageous. What are you going to do if"},{"speaker":"Lady Grey","startTime":388.04,"endTime":391.49,"body":"Broadway doesn't work out or"},{"speaker":"Lady Grey","startTime":391.49,"endTime":397.01,"body":"theater just isn't a reality?"},{"speaker":"Lady Grey","startTime":391.49,"endTime":397.01,"body":"And so it strikes me as being"},{"speaker":"Lady Grey","startTime":397.31,"endTime":400.88,"body":"kind of outrageous to go out"},{"speaker":"Lady Grey","startTime":397.31,"endTime":400.88,"body":"there, and outrageous on your"},{"speaker":"Lady Grey","startTime":400.88,"endTime":405.47,"body":"mom's part to let you pursue"},{"speaker":"Lady Grey","startTime":400.88,"endTime":405.47,"body":"your career that way."},{"speaker":"Christian","startTime":405.63,"endTime":408.87,"body":"Of course, if I had"},{"speaker":"Christian","startTime":405.63,"endTime":408.87,"body":"known my mother, as a friend of"},{"speaker":"Christian","startTime":408.87,"endTime":412.47,"body":"hers at the time, I probably"},{"speaker":"Christian","startTime":408.87,"endTime":412.47,"body":"would have questioned some of"},{"speaker":"Christian","startTime":412.89,"endTime":416.67,"body":"her choices. And"},{"speaker":"Christian","startTime":416.7,"endTime":420.36,"body":"we started to go to concerts,"},{"speaker":"Christian","startTime":416.7,"endTime":420.36,"body":"specifically Dave Matthews Band"},{"speaker":"Christian","startTime":420.36,"endTime":424.17,"body":"concerts, because you wanted to"},{"speaker":"Christian","startTime":420.36,"endTime":424.17,"body":"show me that you could play"},{"speaker":"Christian","startTime":424.17,"endTime":427.38,"body":"strings in a different way. And"},{"speaker":"Christian","startTime":424.17,"endTime":427.38,"body":"she told me later, it wasn't"},{"speaker":"Christian","startTime":427.38,"endTime":430.32,"body":"that she thought, Oh, I was"},{"speaker":"Christian","startTime":427.38,"endTime":430.32,"body":"going to be a professional Viola"},{"speaker":"Christian","startTime":430.32,"endTime":434.22,"body":"player, you know, pick up the"},{"speaker":"Christian","startTime":430.32,"endTime":434.22,"body":"violin finally and do that. She"},{"speaker":"Christian","startTime":434.22,"endTime":436.74,"body":"was just like, it's just going"},{"speaker":"Christian","startTime":434.22,"endTime":436.74,"body":"to open so many doors for you,"},{"speaker":"Christian","startTime":436.74,"endTime":440.25,"body":"it's going to open what your"},{"speaker":"Christian","startTime":436.74,"endTime":440.25,"body":"brain can do for you. And that's"},{"speaker":"Christian","startTime":440.25,"endTime":443.76,"body":"really the way she came at it."},{"speaker":"Christian","startTime":440.25,"endTime":443.76,"body":"And I came at it with this idea"},{"speaker":"Christian","startTime":443.76,"endTime":447.39,"body":"of like, this is what I'm gonna"},{"speaker":"Christian","startTime":443.76,"endTime":447.39,"body":"do.
