Introduction — John 10: The Shepherd's Voice

Good morning. I'm Jeffrey Paul. And I just got something I just really want to share with you. I read this morning in my quiet time that I really think is important for all us to hear, and really the goal of renewing you. Let me read this to you out of John chapter 10, starting in verse 1. And listen some of the words that Jesus himself is speaking here. Jesus said to the Pharisees, Listen to this eternal truth. Wow. Can you imagine opening your conversation, your teaching, your speech by saying, Listen to this eternal truth? I think it captured everybody's ears. The person who sneaks over the wall to enter into the sheep hen rather than coming through the gate, reveals himself as the thief coming to steal. And you know, John 10:10 says he comes to rob, steal, kill, and destroy. He says that he reveals himself as the thief, but the shepherd walks right up to the gate. And because the gatekeeper knows who he is, he opens the gate and lets him in. Now, here's the verse that I want to share with you that came really brightly to me in my spiritual time and meditation this morning. And the sheep recognize the voice of the true shepherd. For he calls his own by name and leads them out, and they belong to him. You

Hearing God's Voice: Purpose & Practice

know, that's the goal of renewing you to help people of all ages to truly learn to hear God's voice, to hear God's voice, not ultimately the wonderful voice from heaven that comes down like when Jesus was being baptized, or at the transfiguration where God continues you to speak out. This is my son who I'm well pleased. Yes, that's how God speaks. But there are so many other areas in your life and biblical principles to learn to hear his voice with the assistance of the Holy Spirit and the scriptures, to give you and I the ability to live in this world that we're not of, but to truly live in this world abundantly, abundant life as it talks about in the scriptures, by hearing his voice. But that takes what John 15 teaches, which is to remain in him, first to recognize his voice, then to become in communion with him, with that voice and your voice and dialogue back and forth,

and then to truly walk out, put into practice, put light application behind what you hear. That's the goal of renewing you and hearing God's voice. For years, I've had the opportunity to write, to teach, to speak, to broadcast how to hear God's voice. And this now in Renewing You Network has been a new blossom, a new season that God has put at my heart and my team's heart to bring to each and every one of you that would trip and come into our broadcast, or to come into our podcast, or to come into our website, or to come into the books and the journals and the devotionals that we put out, that you truly learn intimately how to have a relationship with Christ, how to hear his voice, and how to put it into practice. And in this newsletter and in the websites and all the other things that we'll be sharing with you, we will share with you the resources of a daily devotional that you can have for free that will hear his voice, help you hear his voice and respond to it, and then put it into practice and principles and disciplines to be able to really, really live your life abundantly, as I said. On top of that, a teaching every week of depth levels for Christ to really speak to you. In-depth, you know, where you really start to get the meat of the scriptures. But even if you've just started, no matter where you're at on your journey, renewing you is designed to take you step by step and help you with the power of the Holy Spirit, not Jeffrey Paul, not my beautiful team of the Randy's and the Rachels and the Kaths and so many others. But the reality is that the Holy Spirit continues to lead us to give you the ability to really hear his voice. Transformation Through Daily Renewal

know, the scripture, Romans 12, 2. I mean, a lot of people recite that. You know, be renewed, be renewed, be transformed by the renewing of your mind, the scripture says. What does that mean? Well, when the scripture becomes alive and you hear his voice speak through it, as it talks about in 2 Timothy 3, 16 and 17, your life is changed, but it's not a one and done. It's not a one and done. You're not one and done, and now I heard his voice and I'm good. No, it's an intimate relationship, just like a deep and wonderful long-term marriage that continues to be fanned into flame. As Paul told Timothy, fan into flame the gift you have. That's what renewing you and hearing God's voice is built upon. And the the foundations of devotionals and newsletters that we'll send you, texts to remind you if you choose, the ability to hear interviews and discussions and teachings, and then even live events, all built in over the last year that we've been working since God's really recalled, I know myself and now my team into a ministry that will give you, you, the listening audience, in this troubled world, the ability to truly hear his voice and be victorious, be strong and courageous, be loving and compassionate, be caring and gentle and kind, and all the other fruits that will come from hearing his voice as he prunes you in our teachings, prunes you in your conviction of you know wanting to be better and better and better, and every day be better and better in every way. Inner Transformation Begins Within

close on this one little statement I make in every one of my broadcasts. True beauty and change, the change and beauty that transforms you from the inside, like the caterpillar transforms into the beautiful monarch butterfly. The true beauty and change from within comes from hearing God's voice, dialoguing and becoming intimate with Him. And from that point, you become a reflective, shining light of Christ that helps others see their way through their darkness into an intimate relationship with Christ, so that truly, I mean, truly, we become a community. Hearing God's voice, sharing with each other, and loving God and loving each other as we love ourselves. So be with us, join us, join our community. I mean, you'll see in the newsletter some of the ways that you can do that, but I don't want to go through the details. You can read that. I want to inspire your heart to hunger to hear his voice and to be in relationship, intimate relationship with him as you hear him say, My beloved, I'm here.

The Holy Spirit: Growing in Intimacy with Christ

I'm with you. Ask whatever you might want to ask, and I'll be here to answer you. And to know that the Holy Spirit promised in in John 14 represents the relationship of your partner, along with what we're going to be doing to help teach, inspire, motivate, empower you, and lead you to that intimacy, then the Holy Spirit takes over and just absolutely widens, deepens, heightenens, and lengthens and deepens your knowledge of the love of God as it talks about about Ephesians chapter 3, verse 14 through 21, beyond what you could ask or imagine.
