The benefits of yoga for children's wellbeing are abundant and simultaneously balance mind, body, and spirit. The holistic benefits can be experienced in children as young as babies with Mums and bubs classes offering relaxation and exercise for mums and a time to connect with their babies.

We chat to Yvette Eyles of Yogahum who shares her stories of working with children and the effects of this holistic balance in grounding kids in a supportive and non-competitive environment. 

Yoga and meditation together can deepen body awareness, promote deeper relaxation, and release physical and emotional tension. Our kids can experience mindfulness and learn the benefits of calming the mind, body, and breath.

As children get older they can feel the profound benefits physically as their bodies are developing and also emotionally as they become more aware of their thoughts and feelings. Yoga and meditation are useful tools that children can draw from to work through tough times.

Children's guided meditations are also beneficial for calming anxious feelings and thoughts and served children well during the 2020 lockdown. Children can use these tools to build resilience during challenging times which can enhance their health and wellbeing,
