Giora Eiland: Hamas is not Israel's only problem

The guest of the next episode of our PodKast was Major general Giora Eiland. He commanded a battalion in the 2nd Lebanon War and his knowledge of combat helped Ariel Sharon in the leading of the operation. In 2005, his work resulted in the disengagement from Gaza, and as former head of the National Security Council, he held regular talks with world leaders. Jan Zahrádka asked about the current situation in Gaza, the historical context and the evolution of Israel's relationship with the US.

Hostem dalšího dílu našeho PodKastu byl generálmajor Giora Eiland. Velel praporu v 2. libanonské válce a svými poznatky z boje pomohl i Arielu Sharonovi při vedení operace.
V roce 2005 bylo výsledkem jeho práce stažení z Gazy a jakožto bývalý šéf Národní bezpečnostní rady pravidelně jednal se světovými lídry. Na aktuální situaci v Gaze, historický kontext a vývoj vztahu Izraele s USA se ptal Jan Zahrádka.
