The traditional loving-kindness meditation focuses on developing feelings of goodwill, kindness and warmth towards others. Amongst much research on this simple practice, Frederickson (2008), found that practicing seven weeks of loving-kindness meditation increased love, joy, contentment, gratitude, pride, hope, interest, amusement, and awe.
