Rafael Espinal is a NYC Council member representing the 37th District, which includes parts of Bedford-Stuyvesant, Brownsville, Bushwick, Crown Heights, Cypress Hills, and East New York in Brooklyn.
In 2011 he was elected as the representative of the 54th New York State Assembly District, becoming the first Dominican elected into state office in Brooklyn and the youngest member of the entire state legislature.”
