What if Satan, rather than just a deceiver, had a hand in the design of woman? Explore this provocative question as we unpack Brother William Marion Branham's sermon "Marriage and Divorce" in our latest episode. We critically analyze seven key points from the sermon, scrutinizing the scriptural foundations of Branham's assertion and its wider implications for understanding the roles of men and women in biblical narratives. Together, we'll traverse the creation story in Genesis to delineate God's pure intentions from Satan's deceptive influence, emphasizing that while God created woman as Adam's helpmate, Satan's role was solely cunning deception in the Garden of Eden.

Find out what Branham says about the original divine purpose for Adam and Eve, and how Satan's manipulation of sexual desire altered the course of humanity. We'll discuss the concept of "spoken word children" and how God's initial plan was corrupted by Satan, leading to sex-driven procreation and the fall of man. Learn about Adam's profound choice to redeem Eve out of love and the unique aspects of Eve's design. We'll connect these insights to the grand biblical narrative of showcasing God's glory through vessels of mercy, as elaborated in Romans 9:23. This episode promises to be a riveting exploration of deep theological concepts that challenge long-held beliefs.

Speaker 1:

End Time Message Handbook, section 28,. Satan the Designer of Eve. In the sermon Marriage and Divorce, a great revelation is given that states Satan was the designer of the woman. This is a statement that has many ramifications in how we view women and the scripture as a whole. Therefore, it is critical that we understand this statement of Brother Branham correctly, in proper context, in the context of the Bible. First, let's all agree that every doctrine Brother Branham gives us must be based on the Bible and not on a new revelation outside of the Bible. These seven points are all quotes taken from the sermon Marriage and Divorce by Brother William Marion Branham.

Speaker 1:

1. Every creature in the male is the prettiest, but in the human race it's the woman that's pretty, not the man. Originally it's that way. Why was it done? To deceive by Her designer. Satan is still working on her too in these last days. Two she is designed so that she can be deceiving and Satan is really working on her today, in these last days, because he is her designer. I can prove that now. To go right back at the beginning, who started to work on her? Adam or Satan? God or Satan? See, that's her designer. You may question me about Satan being her designer. But that's the truth. Satan designer, he still does it, and that's why a woman was given that beauty for deception, to deceive.

Speaker 1:

Three, why the question might arise then why did God make woman like this? It was for his own good pleasure. Sure, let's turn to Romans nine, just a minute, and show something. How God does these things. Four so he had to put a man out here and make him on free moral agency. So he would, knowing, would fall. And the man in his own image, how could he fall? So he had to make a byproduct, something out of the original creation. Then that's what fell. He made it, knowing it would fall, and it's put over in the hands of Satan for a vessel of dishonor. Five but you know, the animal has to come to a certain time of the year, and her mate then that's all but a woman, it's any time. Six all his works that he designed in the original is in continuity. All of his original works was in continuity the female dog, the male dog, see, female cow, male cow, everything in continuity. Everything, even nature of God, is all in continuity in one. And here's one designed out of the continuity of God. Nature is so designed so it can't sin. Think the original creation of God could not sin. She is a perversion of the original creation. Seven he made the creature and turned her so Satan could get a hold of her, and he did. He has still got her. She had better flee to the cross, like man too, it is necessary to go back to the scripture and see the origin of the woman, genesis 1.27,.

Speaker 1:

So God created man in his own image. In the image of God, created he him male and female, created he them. In Genesis 1,. We understand that God made male and female, first in spirit form, then in spirit form and then in Genesis 2, he formed them into flesh and into a twofold process. God is the creator of the spiritual nature of Eve. She and Adam were one in spirit form.

Speaker 1:

Genesis 2, 7,. And the Lord God formed man of the dust of the ground and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life, and man became a living soul Verse 2,. Genesis 2.18,. And the Lord God said it is not good that the man should be alone. I will make him and help meet for him.

Speaker 1:

All the other animals were made male and female immediately, but for Adam, he was made and left alone without his female counterpart. This was done to illustrate the type of Christ and his bride. The bride is a part of the groom, she was in him before the foundation of the world and comes forth from him and in fact manifests the nature of Christ in her life. This is the exalted status of the woman to be a part of the visible expression of God. Adam and Eve were made to be the image and likeness of God, that is, god made visible. Not just Adam but Adam and Eve together were the image and likeness of God. Now, in Genesis 2.18, out of all of his creation, that was good. And even in Genesis 1.31, the creation of the sixth day was very good. This was the creation of the male and female in the image and likeness of God. This was termed very good, but the fact that Adam was alone was not good.

Speaker 1:

God didn't give something evil to Adam. He gave something good to Adam, to take Adam's situation from being untenable to good. Genesis, chapter 2, 21 through 25. And the Lord God caused a deep sleep to fall upon Adam and he slept and he took one of his ribs and closed up the flesh instead thereof, and the rib which the Lord God had taken from man made he a woman and brought her unto the man. And Adam said this is now bone of my bones and flesh of my flesh. She shall be called woman because she was taken out of man. Therefore, shall a man leave his father and his mother and shall cleave unto his wife, and they shall be one flesh. And they were both naked, the man and his wife, and were not ashamed. The Bible emphasizes it. It was the Lord God, yahweh Elohim, which caused the deep sleep to fall upon Adam, and Yahweh Elohim took the rib from Adam and formed the woman. And Yahweh Elohim presented her to Adam. Satan has no part in this process.

Speaker 1:

According to the sacred text, when does Satan enter into the equation? As a designer who was working on Eve, genesis 3, 1-5?. Now, the serpent was more subtle than any beast of the field which the Lord God had made. And he said unto the woman Yea hath God said, you shall not eat of every tree of the garden. And the woman said unto the serpent we may eat of the fruit of the trees of the garden, but of the fruit of the tree which is in the midst of the garden, god has said you shall not eat of it, neither shall you touch it lest die. And the serpent said of the woman you shall not surely die, for god doth know, in the day that you eat thereof, then your eyes shall be open and you shall be as gods knowing good and evil.

Speaker 1:

In excerpt number two above, brother Branham tells us to go right back to the beginning and see who is working on Eve. This is where we can go. We see no alternative in the beginning to where Satan was a co-creator or co-designer with God. It is clear in marriage and divorce that God made Eve, not Satan. Satan designed her by working on her before Adam did. God created Eve as a part of his image and likeness, along with Adam. God gave Adam something good to complete him in the Garden of Eden. He designed the sexuality of both Adam and Eve. Now this becomes an issue in light of what Brother Branham said regarding this in several sermons later in 1965. I'm going to list five quotes so you can get the whole picture.

Speaker 1:

God's purpose was to bring four spoken word children at the appointed time through the sexual act between Adam and Eve. Brother Branham says God in the beginning commissioned Adam and Eve to multiply and replenish the earth. That's how sex was given. That's why it was. But what caused the high breeding bring death. And he showed here in the beginning that his perfect will was to create man out of the dust of the earth. But you see, he permitted sex to be brought in. He never did intend children to be born by sex, but it was permitted, which soon will fade away. Now the world is to be repopulated, not by the original creation of God, like in the beginning, not by the original creation, but by sex desire. Now, that takes care of the beginning, doesn't it? Why she mingled it, kept it away. Instead of Adam coming to her for a bride when the time appointed would be, and before they came together, adam and Eve, she was pregnant with the corrupt seed from the serpent. When Adam come to his wife, he found her pregnant to death. See death, how Spiritually and physically dead. End quotes.

Speaker 1:

Adam and Eve were to come together at the time appointed, not according to sex, desired to produce a spoken word, seed of God. God put into the design of the woman that she could have sexual intercourse at any time instead of once for her babies, and he designed her as more attractive than the man. This was a gift and a blessing to the man. But in the beginning the man was to wait until the time appointed, not following after lust. However, satan began to work on her, designing her to be a deception.

Speaker 1:

Now, to emphasize, adam was in the original creation and was not deceived by Eve or the serpent. He knew what he was doing and did it to redeem his bride out of love and so having sexual relations for pleasure outside of the time appointed by God, he committed a sin, taking back his wife that lived with the serpent previously. To that, god built into Eve the capability to be used for pleasure at any time, instead of coming to a desire, according to the animal kingdom, when she went into heat once for her babies. Now, god did not build this ability in to force her into sin. God is not the author of sin, but he designed her this way and put her on free moral agency to choose the way.

Speaker 1:

If there was no tempter, satan, she would not have fallen. Satan worked on her, designing her to be used and misused for the sake of sexual pleasure. God made Eve as a good gift for his son, but permitted Satan to pervert her in order that he might make known the riches of his glory on the vessels of mercy which he had afore prepared unto glory. Romans 9.23. It was God's purpose to use this good vessel, eve, to accomplish his eternal purpose in expressing his attributes of love, mercy, salvation, redemption, etc.
