Introduction to Holy Spirit-Led Podcasting

Speaker 1

Can I remind you your very life. Listening to the Holy Spirit is the fuel to your next episode, is the energy to create a podcast that someone would really want to listen to. Hi, I'm Teresa Groth, voice mentor, kingdom media strategist and host of the Stuck no More Voices podcast, a grace-soaked space for Christian women like you, ready to break free from silence and speak boldly through the power of the Holy Spirit. Whether you're a Proverbs 31 woman podcasting at the kitchen table, a visionary content creator or someone just learning to hear the Father's voice, you are welcome here because I believe your story carries resurrection power. The mic can be a ministry. You don't have to hustle to be heard, just be Holy Spirit led. So in this special podcast, I give you a little backstory to my history as a podcaster, as a Christian woman led by the Holy Spirit. I hope you enjoy it and, hey, thanks for listening to the Stuck no More Voices podcast. Hey, I'm so glad you're listening right now to the Stuck no More Voices podcast.

Speaker 1

In the midst of sharing podcasting tips and how to speak from the overflow of your relationship with God, I thought I'd just give you a testimony, like to really let you know that there was a time where I so wanted a podcast, but I didn't know where to begin. I didn't even take action. Imperfect action is always better than no action. So, as I share my personal testimony, I want to share how I talk a lot about how it should be from the overflow of your relationship with God, like the basis of our teaching at the Stack no More Voices Academy, along with some amazing AI. To make it simple. That's what we want, but we also want it to be Holy Spirit-led podcasting. What do I mean by that? Well, it's the key that comes from the overflow. So I think this happened for me as a natural reaction to my environment.

Teresa's Podcasting Journey and Testimony

Speaker 1

At the time of starting my podcast and continuing on, I was in the midst of some trauma, in the midst of control, and I would go to God about it, and oftentimes he would give me words to comfort me and sometimes those words became a podcast. Now I didn't use my podcast to throw up emotionally about what was going on in my surroundings. You need to speak from your scars, not your wounds. So I didn't have any scars then. I just had open wounds and if I would have spoke from that place it would have been messy. I don't think the Holy Spirit could totally reach out and touch someone. That's what you want in Holy Spirit-led podcasting. You want to be able to process what is in your heart, what God is speaking to you.

Speaker 1

One of my latest in the past almost three years is I met a cog, meaning it's a form of neuropsycho where I can get stuff out on paper. No, I couldn't see very well and my handwriting is terrible. So I have to say that back then I did a lot of writing in my computer. I would have an iPad hooked to a Logitech keyboard and that's often where I would process. So there was a time in the midst of that where I had nothing to say because I was an open wound, but I kept hearing the Holy Spirit say your voice matters, your story matters. I so believed in a voice that, even in the midst of the cacophony, I started a redeem your voice camp back in, I think, 2019 to 2021, where I mainly teach about identity, but once again I wasn't throwing up. I was learning that my identity comes from being a much-loved daughter and, as I learned, I shared that on the camp, even in the midst of some troubling times, even in the midst of pressure and criticism.

Speaker 1

So there's power in your testimony, the word of your testimony. You don't have to be perfect, but you have a testimony. Like the lawnmowers were, the lawn guys were mowing outside. I'm at my kid's house right now in the Jesus chair you can't see this if you're listening, but this is where I'm talking now. It doesn't have to be perfect. I think the lawnmowers must've heard my prayer and they stopped. So this let me give you some keys. Like I realized when, when I was speaking, I wasn't just talking, I was prophesying in hope, and when the testimony is rooted in truth by the word of God, it becomes a spiritual breakthrough for someone else.

Speaker 1

In the last podcast you can go to it after this there are like 10 called uh, listen to the vine dresser. And that's the way God was ministering to me. I would just, I wouldn't conjure him up, I'd just be processing things and I'd hear that that whoosh, and I would just start typing and then later I would clean it up. So, from listening to the vine dresser, god began to speak to me, and constantly in other ways. And I guess part of me, part of myself, is I am a writer, but I much prefer to speak than to write. But that's how I minister to myself. So let me give you an example.

Speaker 1

This might be a little long, but this came about. Okay, let me backtrack. I'm struggling with post-cancer double mastectomy, followed by, a month later, another surgery to remove a hematoma. A lot of pain, a lot of halts, a lot of feeling living in my kid, my kids place. That's why I'm coming from the Jesus chair, not my studio. But I wrote this because I had some transformation happen in the midst of community. I belong to no more dry ground and the second, no more voices academy, which I lead, but no more dry ground by the amazing Michelle Tufford, and I was kind of just maybe I was throwing up on them and Michelle Tufford gave me this idea. I think she said you are David, like David in a cave. The next morning I was hanging out in Psalm 34. It's one of my favorite Psalms I mean I always say that about, but this one I had it memorized all the way back then and this came out. Hang in with me. This is what I literally wrote out. This is an example.

Speaking from Scars Not Wounds

Speaker 1

Holy Spirit led podcasting. How you, as a Christian mom, a Christian enterprise, how you, as a Christian mom, a Christian enterprise, a businesswoman, can create spirit-led content from your episodes to touch your listeners. Let me see if this helps you. I feel like I need to share it for more reasons than one. So this is in my voice, where I wrote.

Speaker 1

There are days I feel like David, hidden, not by choice, but by survival to the healing of wounds that were necessary for life, the insult to my body of two cancer surgeries to remove the wicked cancer and the painful monster of a hematoma. So now, months later, wounds removed, cancer free. At times I still feel like a cave dweller, pressed in by life's enemies, some named fear, others lack a purpose, others the mess of my own situation. My current surroundings echo the storm inside, cluttered, confused, waiting to move to a new place with my dear children. I feel like I'm in between, no longer in what was not yet, in what's next, in the dark hallway of the now and not yet.

Speaker 1

Because of this situation, depression sometimes sits at the mouth of this cave, whispering, lies into the shadows of my soul. Other times it's the silence that screams. I have cried out and, like David, I've never learned to weep without words. But somewhere in the silence, one of my favorite psalms, psalm 34, rises up. I will bless the Lord at all times. His praise shall continually be in my mouth. Or. The Lord is near to those who have a broken heart, to those who are crushed in spirit. Yes, I've tasted despair, but I've also tasted grace. No more cancer echoes in my ears from what the doctor said no more cancer echoes in my ears from what the doctor said no more cancer.

Speaker 1

So in this in-between place I found that God is not afraid for me being in this cave. He comes close, not to condemn me, but to carry and speak to me. He whispers child, this is not the end, this is the beginning of becoming my voice for my purpose. Walk faithfully in your story for my glory. So, even though I feel forgotten at times, he remembers, just as David did, I cry out not just for rescue but for restoration, for rescue from the enemy.

Speaker 1

A pain and healing when the knife went deep, the incisions still healing. So I cling to this trembling hands of my new faith. Though I'm in a mess, I'm not a mess. Though I'm waiting to move, god is moving on my half. Though I feel stuck, god smiles and says over me stuck no more. So I trust and hold fast to this final words of hope. The Lord redeems the soul of his servants and none of those who trust in him shall be condemned. Psalm 34, verse 22.

Speaker 1

So I pray as I shared that excerpt from my journal. So I pray as I shared that excerpt from my journal. I did share it on Facebook. Facebook profile sometimes is like my blog, but you see, that's how real you can get and I pray that's how real you realize that is. The Holy Spirit leads you as you do your podcasting from the overflow of your relationship with God.

Speaker 1

Yes, I'm just giving you my testimony as we begin. We're going to talk about AI tools. We're going to talk about SEO making sure you got the right keywords. We're going to talk all about the essentials of a good episode that is found by your searching. But there's nothing like me just being real and sharing a testimony, because I know what it's like to like try and try. Okay, I want that podcast.

David in a Cave: Finding Voice

Speaker 1

Mine started out in the closet because I didn't want anyone to see me. I got brave and I got out of the closet. I love microphones. I was always trying to buy the latest microphone. My mom bought me a couple of years ago a microphone that I absolutely love.

Speaker 1

You don't have to be polished. I'd rather see the edge of you, like if you're too scripted, your authenticity doesn't come out. I mentioned that in the last episode, but it's just so. I feel like it's so needed. I believe in the spirit of excellence. You can, I want you to have notes, but I don't want you to read your podcast.

Speaker 1

And you know, when you're willing, listen to this. When you're willing, god provides a message. When you're willing, he can leap out of your Bible into a podcast. You don't go to your quiet times for a podcast, but that is the start. And from that deep intimacy with Jesus, revelation comes. It's like a deep pool and some things God says. I don't want you to share this. He's done that to me many times. I don't want you to share this because you're not healed from it. So don't feel like you have to be polished. Don't be afraid of the raw edge of your voice. Don't be afraid to tear up on your podcast, biblical message, podcast coaching. It's about drawing the Jesus out of you. Speak to the one, don't preach.

Speaker 1

Once again, I'm repeating that Think about it this way. Sometimes I think of it this way. Someone is going on a long trip and they popped in, they went to the Second no More Voices podcast, so I'm in the car with them talking, sharing what's the wounds, sharing the victories. Think about that. Or I think of a mom making dinner and, amidst above the maybe? Cries of the kids and the yelling, she turns on the Stick no More Voices podcast Because she knows she has a message. It may not be right now. Her first ministry is to her family but yet, even in the cracks and silences, god's speaking to her and he's saying daughter, I've called you to release you. So I think, over more than anything, there's a yielding process to the right time to release your message. You got to surrender, realize God is the God of turnarounds. Your situation right now isn't necessarily your finish.

Speaker 1

I was thinking about yielding this morning. I want to share something to you that once again, I was writing out. It was actually I do devotions from you version. I do the start where it gives you a moments with God. It's oftentimes those moments that I do a process of neuropsycho called metacog. It's in this journal that I actually write. I can try to read my writing, but it's getting stuff out on paper and I'm going to end this podcast with yielding. Yield to the timing, that's what I'm going to say. Yield to the timing when God is calling you to step up with your microphone. It might be a video podcast or not, but you're going to look into the camera of your phone, of your computer, and you're going to speak. So I'm going to end this podcast with sharing this because I'm still in the yielding process. The Stuck no More Voices Academy is due to start up. I want you to be a part of it so you can learn all about this.

Authentic Podcasting and Yielding to Timing

Speaker 1

This is just a fragment, a piece of doing a spirit-led podcast, being that Christian woman, entrepreneur who has a message ready to release it. That's all coming up. But here I want to share this. I guess it's in my voice. It simply says I healed, not with clenched fists or hollow words, but with trembling hands and a heart cracked open wide.

Speaker 1

This life, my dreams, my fragments, my future, I lay it at your feet, jesus. You're not just the mender, you are the master weaver. You see the beauty. I miss the worth. I forgot the story. I tried to erase the times I hid, yet you still call me beloved. I've run in circles grasping for control, but your love, it waits, it woos, it heals, and you're in your arms. Shame loses its voice. I used to think surrender meant losing, but in you it's where I find everything. You don't erase my sin, you don't just erase my sin, you rewrite my story for your glory. You breathe hope into ruins and speak wholeness into broken minds. You stitch heaven into every scar. So here I am, raw, real, ready, not because I figured it out, but because you're worthy of it all. I trust you with my mess. I trust you with my dreams, because you are not just a savior, you are the king who conquers chaos and crowns it with grace. Yes, lord, take it all and it was always yours. I end this with Ezekiel 36, verse 26,. And I will give you a new heart and I will put a new spirit in you. I will take out your stony, stubborn heart and give you a tender, responsive heart. Ezekiel 36, verse 26. So, as I conclude this, can I remind you your very life.
