The Sacred Process of Restoration

Speaker 1

Restore is the breath after the sun, the sunlight spilling through the long nights. It is God whispering you are still mine. I'm not done with you. Restoration doesn't erase what was lost, but it redeems what remains, turning ashes into beauty, emptiness into fullness and silence into song. Hey, it's Teresa and you're listening to the Stuck no More Voices podcast, where we help you create from the overflow of your relationship with God and by using simple AI tools.

Speaker 1

Let's talk about your relationship with God. Do you ever feel like you're in that hard place? Maybe you're beginning something, or maybe you're trying to re-begin something. It might be a podcast, might be a business, and you just feel stuck. When that felt like for me, it felt like this. It felt like I was hitting my head against the same place in the wall. But let me take you through three steps that helped me years ago and now, just in this present moment, has brought new life to understanding repair, restore and rebuild.

Speaker 1

Before we get started, I want to ask you three questions before we dive fully into the restore, repair and rebuild process. Does your current mindset support your future responsibilities? Will the habits you're forming today increase productivity, and what legacy do you want to leave behind? These are big questions, right, but they're worth sitting with and they're worth answering, because the answer really shapes how we move forward in life and business and every area of our calling. So this is the scripture that we're going to talk about and it really goes back to when I was struggling a good many years ago and I was struggling with doubt and criticism and blocks Happened to be part of who I was married to at the time, but it was all internal and this is.

Three Questions for Your Journey

Speaker 1

I came upon this verse a long time ago. It's Amos 9, verse 11. In that day, I will restore David's fallen shelter and I will repair its broken walls and will restore its ruins and I will rebuild it as it used to be. I love this verse because it gives such a clear process for moving forward and as I have a memory from a long time ago. I came upon this verse just recently and it brought back so much memories of that process from years ago. Then I looked at it today and it's like it still works, for today it's still well, like the word of God doesn't work, it's still relevant, but it brings on even a deeper meaning.

Step One: Repair Your Foundation

Speaker 1

So if you're trying to answer those questions, or you feel stuck or you want to start again and you want a perfect foundation. Let's go through these three steps and see if they don't help you. It's a clear process. So step number one repair. In those days I will repair.

Speaker 1

Repair is the sacred work of noticing the cracks. Not to shame them but to tend to them. Aim them but to tend to them, like a broken vessel in a potter's hands. Our fractures don't disqualify us. No, they invite his healing touch.

Speaker 1

Sometimes repair begins with a wound turning into a scar. But scars tell stories of survival, of hope, of inspiration. Scars help you speak to the person you once were. Repair is the beginning step. It's about honestly, mentally assessing where you are. You gotta start somewhere. So let's look at the weak spots. What needs fixing?

Step Two: Restore Your Identity

Speaker 1

For me, there have been times when my mindset was the best thing I needed was to start with repair. I had to admit that I was letting fear and self-doubt keep me from moving forward. No excuses. Then, most recently, this verse comes alive again because cancer was a hurdle. I didn't expect Two surgeries, a body learning to heal and rehab. But I'm determined not to be labeled by my pain. Yeah, my body may need a whole year to repair. But I know that I can ask god to help me get my mind set, to get to once again step up to a mic and speak hope, speak construction, speak life. Help you be able to speak to your podcast, to your business. I refuse to live as a victim. I choose healing, purpose and Christ. So repair once again doesn't mean you've failed. It means you're willing to let God start that first step. To God, shine his light in the places that need healing and strengthening. And, friend, this is such a powerful step. The repair leads to the second step, and that's a huge one. It's restore. Restore is the breath after the sun, the sunlight spilling through the long nights. It is God whispering you are still mine, I'm not done with you. Restoration doesn't erase what was lost, but it redeems what remains, turning ashes into beauty, emptiness into fullness and silence into song.

Speaker 1

The restore process, I believe, is so sacred. God doesn't just patch us up, but he's breathing a new life in us. I remember a season where I was completely drained. I shared a little bit about this, my creativity had run dry and I remember driving in the truck Dave was driving and I remember going down and visiting some friends and I just got locked in on this aimless work and from then I spent a good year. Where am I in the repair process? Where am I in the restore process? Where am I in the restore process? Where am I in the rebuild process? I think if you skip a step and try to go right to the rebuild process, I think you're going to be dealt with frustration. So restoration is so sacred. I believe in this step and really, before you get to the next one, I really believe in the restore step and really, before you get to the next one, I really believe in the restore step, like today. In the last two years, I really believe you might need some help. I know my friend and mentor has been like a shepherd in my life.

Speaker 1

In the last three years I went through months after months after my husband died, months after months of just rewiring to renew, finding that root issue that was keeping me held stuck, and you know what it was. I'm not good enough. So rewiring, re and then realizing I can't say yes, because I've learned that if I say yes to things that I don't really want to say yes to instead of saying no, and if I say yes to things I don't't really want to say yes to instead of saying no. And if I say yes to things I don't really want to, I end up losing myself and it sends a signal to my mind that I can't trust myself. It's so cool when you get that healed, because you start to trust yourself in big decisions and small decisions. When you begin this process of restore, it's like you learn that powerful yes which makes no's easier. But then when the no's come, it makes the yeses that you're really supposed to do easy, even if they're kind of scary at times. But you know that you can trust yourself.

Speaker 1

As I went through months and months of this. Still I can still like a shepherd and my friend is helping me, but I really realized that you can't put out this thing. You got to do the work. This is a neuropsycho process. You got to go through the 63 days and then another 63 days. You got a medicoke and this is my. You've got to do what your mentor says. And then the powerful stuff when you do, when you have a mentor, is you've still got to bring in your relationship with God. You've still got to have that time of just you, jesus and coffee, coffee and Jesus. Just when that time is, you sit in his presence. You read the word but you really let him. You experience his presence. It's like a gift.

Step Three: Rebuild With Purpose

Speaker 1

Restoration is God reminding you who you are, not just what you do. He restores your identity, your hope and courage to keep going. You realize your identity is based in who you are and whose you are. Come on To the next step. I a demonstration this whole episode, because I've seen the effects. I've seen restoration come to some friends and just share the joy of being restored. But let's rebuild. Rebuild his courage. With dust still on your hands, he's choosing to rise again to lay new bricks on old foundations, to say I'm still here and, by God's grace, I will not quit. Rebuilding is slower, wiser and always comes from a place of trust, not hustle, rooted in lessons learned through fire. It's not weakness to start again, it is worship.

Speaker 1

Rebuild is where I am trying to build with stronger foundations. I'm rebuilding my journey of podcasting Instead of hitting my head in the same place in the lawn and really allowing myself to go through the rebuild, restore, restore, repair, restore, rebuild process, because I don't want to feel like I'm building and having my head in the same place. How about you. You know you got a purpose. You know maybe you got to go through some processes with God to really get to the place where you know you're on the brink, where you are in the midst of being in your sweet spot. You're doing what you know that you know God's called you to, but you're doing it with stronger foundations. Maybe it's rebuilding your podcast journey. You've already started the podcast journey but you just kind of feel like no one's listening or you want to even upgrade your plan with some tools, with some AI tools. Let me share my journey now.

Speaker 1

My new focus of rebuilding comes after the diagnosis of breast cancer, then the double mastectomy and, after the double mastectomy, still having a problem with a massive hematoma that within a month, back on the operating table, they had to remove the hematoma. Let me be real with you. There was a time through all of this that I had to just wait. I mean, I had just started the StegnoMaurer Voice Academy, I think I got into the double mastectomy and there was the last session, session six, and I had to let my friend. She graciously stepped in. I was there but she was leaving the session. But that was a process.

Speaker 1

Trying to create sustainable income can sometimes make you feel like you're hitting your head in the same place in the wall. I understand that. But in the rebuild process you're rebuilding with this foundation that might be different than before. You want to see results and that's where I'm excited about the rebuild. Part of rebuilding means you need to be willing to step out of the old way and step into some new ways of marketing your business, of doing your podcast, and I'm learning that now. The rebuild process is very exciting and very scary in a way for me personally, as I continue to seek ways to communicate my message, to draw in leads and make them customers and clients who become friends because they're learning how to do their podcasts, but being able to get that message out there in a greater way. More on that.

Speaker 1

So the word repair, restore and build is a great place to start and continue on. I realize that this isn't all about hustle. You don't just hustle harder, no, you are called to rebuild His way. God's not about hustle, because if you start to hustle and you start to think it's all up to you and you lose your creativity I'll do a whole episode on that. You can come from a place of rest, which is the finished work of the cross, come from that place of rest and that rest is trust that the one who promised you your purpose he will see it through. Like Sarah in Hebrews 11, verse 11,. She embraced God's miracle working power even though she was past the age of child, but her faith rested in the authority of the one who promised. That's the kind of race you come from, that place of rest. Knowing that God's called you to go forward and repair and restore and rebuild, it makes the rebuilding very exciting.

Speaker 1

That was a big wave that hit me with the cancer. I had to realize that I'm rebuilding. But yeah, before I can go back to rebuild, I still got to repair and restore from the mind, from the body. So just a final encouragement for you. I hope this hits you. I hope you understand Repair, restore and rebuild In Amos 9-11,.

Coming From Rest, Not Hustle

Speaker 1

It could be your game plan to start walking in the divine design that God has for you. But you've got to get the repair, you've got to go to the restoration. It's all fun when you realize hey, I'm doing this to rebuild something that's in wind in my DNA, like when I talked to God at the beginning of the year. I was just like you know. It's like okay, I want to focus on one thing. And God said what do you like to do? And I said I love to talk. I love to talk on stage and in my podcast. And then he asked me some more questions. I love teaching and mentoring, hence the Stuck no More Voices Academy came out of that and it was just such a, it was such a thing, an awesome thing to focus on one thing and then bring the process of repair, restore, rebuild to that one thing. And that's what I offer with the Second World Voice Academy. We really do find our voice. Learn how to share your voice on a podcast from the overflow of your relationship with God and then help with some simple AI tools you can put to that process to really help you do your podcast quicker, be able to reach more people and really feel like you know what you're saying.

Speaker 1

You're not losing yourself trying to figure out what you're going to say next because you're going from the overflow of your relationship with God. So here's my challenge for you this week Choose one area, whether it's a mindset, a habit or your work, and ask God do I need to repair, restore and rebuild here? Remember starting again doesn't mean you've failed. It simply means you're aligning with God's plan and saying yes to his process. Starting again doesn't mean you've fallen flat on your face and your neck cannot get up. No, it means you give through the repair, restore, be revealed. Process Means you say yes to his process and then you align yourself to God's plan.

Speaker 1

Let me pray over you. Sometimes I pray, sometimes I don't, but I feel like I need to pray over you. So, father, first of all, we just thank you that you're all about us, that you're about our identity and showing us what it means to be a child of you, and just thank you for the gift of Jesus. Jesus who loved you so much. He obeyed you. He obeyed you to the point of the cross. But he's no longer on the cross. He is risen at your right hand. So we fix our eyes on Jesus, the author and perfecter of our faith, who, for the joy set before him, endured the cross, despising the shame, and is now seated at the right hand of God. There was joy, even though he had to go to the cross, even though he had to despise the shame. There could be joy for you, even though you go through some rough places, even though you feel like you're hitting your head at the same place in the wall, but there is joy when you go through God's plan, amos 9-11.

Speaker 1

Rebuild those walls of your business, rebuild the walls of who you are. Repair, restore and rebuild. So, father, thank you.

Speaker 1

So I start praying, I start preaching, lord. Thank you so much just for this time. Give someone wisdom to rebuild as you would have them. Give someone just the courage to realize it's not like they failed, it's just like they're continuing on, but a wiser person, stronger foundations. Thank you from the heart that just needs to know they matter. You matter to God. Thank you, father. We bless you. We pray all this in the name of Jesus.
