Have you ever felt voiceless in your own story?
In this raw and powerful episode of Stuck No More Voice, I open up about a painful trauma from my past that resurfaced recently — not just in my heart, but in conversations with my adult children.

This isn’t just storytelling. This is an invitation.

I share how God redeems pain with precision, how He walks with us through every season of healing, and how His promises — like those in Joel 2:25 — are still true today.

Plus, I introduce the Body & Soul Bible study — a 6-week online journey toward wholeness with Elana van Deventer, Dr. Caroline Leaf, and Lisa Whittle. You’ll learn to align your body, soul, and spirit with God’s design in a safe, faith-filled community.

💬 Let’s talk scars, not just wounds. And let’s find our voice again — together.

🎧 Hit play, and let’s move toward healing that lasts.

Nothing Is Wasted

He's saying that to you. He's not done with you yet. Nothing is wasted in his hands. Not the sleepless nights, not the prayers whispered through your tears, not even the moments you almost gave up. He uses everything. Nothing is wasted. Hey, thanks for joining us here listening to the Stuck No More Voices podcast. We talk about many things, but today we're going to talk about healing. It's something we dive into out of the overflow, not just on our podcast, but also on our Stuck No More Voices Academy, where we teach you how to make an impactful podcast that honors God from the overflow of your relationship with God. Overflow. Let's talk about that. As this episode is deeply relevant and deeply personal. It's birthed from a place in my heart that once was very broken. So recently, both of my adult children separately brought up a traumatic event from our past. I was actually asking for more details, and I did it just happened to be that we were talking separately because I had blocked the memory of it. Something we live through clearly, and we're still healing through. But I'm glad to bring this up and talk about it because I want to lead you to an event taught by someone who has been a lifeline in my own journey, Alana Vandeventer. She's a neuropsychophacilitator among speaker and many other things. She's the lead voice behind something really special. It's called the Body and Soul Bible Study. It's happening online. It's six sessions designed to help us move past the pain, to realign our spirit, soul, and body and walk in wholeness together. Dr. Caroline Leaf will join us for one session. And Lisa Whittle, an amazing author of the book Body and Soul, will also join us in for special sessions. Incredible voices, really, speaking truth over the whole woman God created you to be. More on that in just a bit. But let me tell you why I think this is more than just a promo or program, because oftentimes this is a moment of truth. So what I'm sharing today comes from a day, very dark place. It's real. It comes from a cracked place. And if we are to be powerful voices online with our podcasts, with our speaking, with our social media, I think it's so important to understand the body, soul, and mind and to really walk from a scar and not the wound. I'll spare you the mess of the details. But there was a time when I really felt voiceless, controlled, and honestly, I felt like I was barely breathing, especially in those moments that involved trauma that my kids were experiencing. But my relationship with God was the rock I did stand on, even amidst the cacophony of this 26 years. Psalm 34, verse 18 was one of my favorites. It says, The Lord is near to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit. So, yes, friend, he is near. You know, I heard it said before, God doesn't waste a pain, he turns messages into messages. But you know what? That's not just a pretty face, it can be bare, raw truth. And you know what? We serve a God who does not play with pain, he redeems it with precision, and his redemption is not rushed, it's not careless. Whether your healing comes in a sudden breakthrough or a slow unfolding years, year after year. He's in every step. He's there to catch your hand, wash your tears, and oftentimes I hear him in the voice of the vine dresser whispering, hey T, I'm not done with you yet. He's saying that to you. He's not done with you yet. Nothing is wasted in his hands, not the sleepless nights, not the prayers whispered through your tears, not even the moments you almost gave up. He uses everything, nothing is wasted. The other day, as I was kind of processing these two different testimonies from my children, very painful part. I just happened to hear Joel 2, verse 25, and it's so fitting, I think, to this episode. Joel 2 verse 25 says, So I will restore to you the years that the swarming locusts has eaten, the crawling locust, the consuming locust, and the chewing locusts, my army which I sent among you. Now, replace the word locust with trauma, the betrayal, the control, the harsh words spoken, simply the drama of the trauma you've experienced. God is saying to you, I will restore that. And then verse 30 kind of caps it off. I will show wonders in the heavens and in the earth. What promises for today? What promises for you, friend, even in the midst of your struggle. But once again, as I teach in the Stechnum of Voices podcast and the academy more than any place, I want you to come from the overflow. That doesn't mean every time you go to the word, you try to find an episode, but it's the overflow of your healing because I really believe that you are called to speak to the person you once were. So giving to these locusts, these, and they could be huge things, or they could be just like I experienced today, a very ugly text from one of my own brothers, plush brothers. I remember I was telling Aunt William about it. He was in the room and he was so precious because I was telling him about some of the stuff we were processing, and then this out of nowhere. And he said, Mom, do you have a session with it? Alana planned. Alana, the leader, as well, also not just a great friend, but really one of the best neurocycle facilitators, mentors you could ever dream to have. And I was like, No, son, next week, but listen, I'm working through it, and I did. I worked through it because I knew I wanted to come before you and tell you about the body and soul seminar online, but I also know that it fits so well with what we teach on the Psychnomer Voices Academy. I would hope that you would never go to your microphone still bleeding from a raw terrible thing that happened. Locust was eating on you. Because that's where it comes from the overflow. You go to God and you get your own personal message, personal touch on how to be healed from that. And as you walk in your healing, you truly can speak from your scars that that are way more powerful than if like if I came on and just spoke from the mess and the pain, you wouldn't get much out of it. It would be messy. I don't want to be messy, I don't want to burden you. We all got our own stuff. So all this brings me back to why I'm so excited about this special six-week bodies and soul. The dates and the link will be in the show notes. So it's not just another study to check off your list, it is a journey towards wholeness, and that's why I can't wait to promote it and can't wait to take part because this is what it means to be a great podcaster, a great voice, a great coach. You want to come from a healthy place, no matter what your testimony is, the way you believe about yourself, and healing can reach every part. So, in these six-week online sessions, we're gonna gather as a faith-filled community, women who are ready to let God align our body, soul, and spirit with his beautiful original design. And of course, this is led by amazing kingdom women through scripture. These are some of the topics we're gonna talk about. The beauty of being created in his image, the strength from created for relationships, how you were designed to be created for reliance, the power of created for consecration, how we are the body created for unity, and finally your whole personhood created for God's glory. The power of transformation is going to happen in each step, and it's gonna happen as we surrender to Jesus. And I might add amazing overflow for your next episode in your podcast. I mean, you may connect on one of these, and like I need to I need to talk about that in my podcast. I need to talk about that on social media. You don't have to be fully healed just to show up, okay? Just willing, and just bring your next step and let the healer, let Jesus do the rest. So today, my friend, if all you can manage is a whisper of a prayer in the night, let it be enough. He hears, he's working, he's still the God of breakthrough, and he's fiercely committed to your healing. So please keep moving forward. Even if your past is loud, let his promises be louder. Even if your pain runs deep to the core of you, his grace runs deeper still. Your trauma, your agony, is not the end of your story. It's the soil where your testimony is being written. And when God writes the next chapter, listen, it's going to be beautiful. You may be even living through the beautiful. So join us for Body and Soul. The link is in the show notes. I really believe this is a part of being a podcaster. I might even uh you know, ask Alana if she can include some of it in our stuck no more voices academy, as she is one of our premier mental coaches inside the academy. Let this season be the season you stop carrying your trauma alone. Let it be the season you start walking in truth, beauty, and wholeness from the inside out. So until next time, keep walking, keep praying. And never forget your healing matters to God, and He is not finished with you yet. So check the show notes for Body and Soul, and I'll talk to you soon on the next episode of the Steck No More Voices podcast.
