Join in on this episode with Jen and her special guest Kendra of Ironside Training, here in Portland, Oregon. Jen met Kendra through mutual friends in the motorcycle scene here,  including Kids and Cobras @kidsandcobras and Legion Motorcycle Co. @legionmotoco. Jen connected with Kendra on motorcycles of course, weightlifting, to her photography as well as transparency in their respective journeys. They talk about deep wisdom from their life experiences.
If you follow Kendra, you know she is an inspiration in many ways; from running a photography business as a skilled photographer and well rounded portfolio, to always challenging herself physically and mentally at the gym and very involved as a competing athlete holding the Oregon records of her weight class, she is also very  supportive of others along their path. Kendra is a very kind and understanding person, she is very easy to talk and connect with on deeper levels.
Kendra talks about, not only her journey getting into motorcycles but she talks about what was going on for her mentally when she started getting into weightlifting and even more so as she started competing, and her story in how she overcame stigmas around society's perception of what that looks like. She has clearly redefined that, using it as her power, she has thrown expectations back in the face of what society has taught fitness should look like. If you follow her, you'll see how she redefines this every day and is truly a leader in empowering others to do the same.
She is passionate in empowering women to lift and talks about how powerlifting is a way that women can celebrate their femininity and sexuality. She talks about how her photography started to take off, also related to the community at Ironside Training where she started to document more of the community there who are training and their progress.  Her photography started to take off. She also shares about her experience in relationships, and particularly in 2019 being a transformative year in really looking at what it was she truly wanted. Part of that, was a deeply connected relationship in which she has with her partner @coach_patrickthomas Founder/Owner/Head Powerlifting Coach at Ironside Training.
Kendra is always supporting people in her community; supporting individuals following their own path; promoting and embracing self-care and self-love. Kendra's mindset is very insightful, from personal truths, and personal connection; she works hard but enjoys life and talks about having balance. Be sure to follow Kendra @kfarblifts and @ironsidetraining as well as @wild.and.restless her photography page to see the amazing work she is doing. You will find her progress in powerlifting, as she is getting ready to compete in Worlds. You will not want to miss this awesome episode with this super inspiring woman!
