This is a podcast meant to bring about meaningful conversations on fly fishing, creativity, business, and everything in between. The goal of this podcast is to highlight the importance of how creativity and outdoor recreation can lead to a better life. In some episodes, we will strictly talk about fly fishing-related topics but we want to dive deeper than that. We want to better understand why people do what they do and bring about tangible information that our audience can take and apply to their next adventure. I don't claim to be a professional in any of the fields above, but I hope to learn as we go and learn from the guests that we bring onto the show. #19 The Band ONA | Fly Fishing on Tour, Performing at Red Rocks & Life as a Touring Band
In October, I was able to sit down with one of my favorite bands ONA. Ona is a 5 piece band from West Virginia who all grew up in the same hometown. They released their first album in 2016 and have since released their second album in 2019. They have toured with artists such as Tyler Childers, Caamp & Houndmouth. A few days before this recording they had played their first-ever Red Rocks show. We talked about what that experience was like and how they formed as a band. 2 of the band members, 'Jeeter' and Zach, are actually big fly fishermen and we got to hear all about the fly fishing in their hometown. They also talked about the realities of being on tour and how they have been able to find time to fly fish while on the road. It's an awesome conversation and was really fun to hear the parallels that fly fishing and music shared with one another. I hope you enjoy it!
