SPEAKER_07:Witch hair. Exactly.
SPEAKER_01:And call him Daddy. He's like, which hair? So they're gonna have to palm your head like a basketball. And call you daddy. Can you imagine? Tebleton's just like right here in their face. Hey Daddy. I'm sorry. Anyway, it is the start of a brand new season. We have some new things coming your way. SPEAKER_05:We're like Olive Garden.
SPEAKER_01:When we are there, we are now family. Exactly. Exactly. So we're gonna start off strong this season. We're gonna see. Gonna go around the room, check everybody's pulse. Let's see here. Hmm. Who do I want to start with today? You know what? Let's start with Grizz.
SPEAKER_05:Oh shit. Shit.
SPEAKER_01:What's your pulse look like? Yeah, get it. Reach deep down into that beard, into that neck beard, and feel your bare skin on your skin.
SPEAKER_05:My pulse is looking a lot like a Seahawks W over the Rams. Let's go!
SPEAKER_00:Wait a minute, wait a minute, wait a minute.
SPEAKER_01:Wait, wait, wait, wait. You gotta do that right, man. Seahawks win! Let's go! Let's go! So, so like because you're out there now, are you pulling for the Seahawks?
SPEAKER_05:I have to be. I think I think them's the rules. Uh since I've forgotten how to play football.
SPEAKER_01:You know why? It's because you left, Grizz.
SPEAKER_05:You left us. You know what? That might you might be on to something. They're in shambles now. I I leave, I leave, and then our defense just happens to shit.
SPEAKER_01:Fall apart. They fell apart. They're like, they're like, did y'all hear? Grizz left. And they're like, what? No.
SPEAKER_05:Yeah. I mean, I don't know. I've always kind of appreciated Seattle, like when living back in Cincy and playing Madden and like getting to pick all these different teams to play with. And then moving here, and you you like realize, oh, this city has a couple Super Bowls. Like, that's kind of cool. But like no one really talks about it. There's a lot of really good teams in Seattle, right? Like we have uh the Mariners are decent, you know. The the soccer team has a few championships, so it's like this city has a lot going on. So what's their back? Um they have the Seattle Storm WMBA. We don't have a men's team right now. Yeah, no men's team. Didn't y'all have a men's team a long time ago? Yeah, we did. Well we, I can't say we yet.
SPEAKER_03:I haven't yet uh Sonic.
SPEAKER_05:Yeah, Sonics.
SPEAKER_03:Oh, that's right. Okay, okay. Yeah, yeah, yeah.
SPEAKER_05:Which then went to, I think they were when they sold it was um Vancouver Grizzlies for a little bit. Okay, and then and then I forget where the team is now. I think it's I don't know. Someone listening is probably boiling right now. They're like, how could you not know? I don't know, man.
SPEAKER_01:Listen, Cussie just moved there. Give him some time. Yeah. He's not he's not technically a local yet until like Daddy chill. Yeah, Daddy Chill.
SPEAKER_11:What the hell is he in that?
SPEAKER_05:Yeah, exactly. Um but yeah, it feels like it feels like the city. I mean, obviously the people that are into football are excited that the Seahawks are like in the playoffs and very likely gonna go on to the Super Bowl. Um but I'm excited because if they do go to the Super Bowl and they win, I get to live in this in a city where we're experiencing what a a Super Bowl feels like. Yep. And I don't know what that feels like.
SPEAKER_01:Well, hey, listen, we at least we got there. We got there. We got there, we got there a couple of times. We were like two like it was right. Yeah, it was magical. It was magical.
SPEAKER_05:I did it was magical, and I do know what it's like to get there as a city. Like that was cool. Just winning it, but then we lost.
SPEAKER_01:Yeah, it's just it's winning it. That that's the that's the feeling we're missing because because Cincinnati's been there what three times now, and they've lost three times now. So we know what that feels like, right? Like that sucks.
SPEAKER_05:Really got that good.
SPEAKER_07:Yeah, Buffalo, though. Buffalo went four times in a row, lost four times in a row.
SPEAKER_01:That's true.
SPEAKER_07:Do you know who they lost to majority of those times?
SPEAKER_01:Uh-uh. If you say Dallas. Dallas Cowboys. Yeah, if you say Dallas, Cowboys and Dallas. Hey, speaking of, are you gonna be a Steelers fan?
SPEAKER_07:Cowboys and um San Francisco.
SPEAKER_03:They lost one to San Francisco, and I think they've lost three to Dallas. Yeah.
SPEAKER_01:Yeti. Are you gonna become a Steelers fan now that Mike McCarthy has gone to disprove?
SPEAKER_03:No. No. No. And then that's when the uh Bills, I don't know if you guys know this, but they doned the catchphrase for their name because their bills is B-I-L-L-S, and it goes for boy, I love losing Super Bowls.
SPEAKER_01:Yeah, hell yeah. That's that's dope. That's dope.
SPEAKER_03:That's what they were referred to in the 90s because if they went to the four Super Bowls and lost them all. That's dope.
SPEAKER_05:Yeah, well, they gave us buffalo wings, so so we forgive them.
SPEAKER_03:So I got a question then. So about this. So would you would you rather have your team go there four times and lose them all, or go there once and lose once?
SPEAKER_01:Wait, why are we losing all the time though? That's that's that's a terrible question.
SPEAKER_05:Why we always lose like like what?
SPEAKER_01:What do you mean? Would you rather lose once or lose four times?
SPEAKER_11:Would you rather suck? Would you rather suck one time?
SPEAKER_01:Would you rather suck or suck really bad? I'd rather suck. I'd rather just suck.
SPEAKER_03:Would you rather your team never make it to the Super Bowl or make it to the Super Bowl four times and never win?
SPEAKER_01:I'd rather never make it. See, that's better.
SPEAKER_03:I'd rather just never make it.
SPEAKER_01:I'd rather just never make it. He said, would you rather go once and lose once or go four times and lose four times?
SPEAKER_06:There are a lot of like really famous teams who have never made a super bowl.
SPEAKER_07:Oh, I think six of them, six or seven of them. Right. So more like the the um um um fuck. Minnesota.
SPEAKER_01:Yep, Vikings.
SPEAKER_07:Yeah, never made a Super Bowl. Oh, yeah. Not once.
SPEAKER_00:Oh, we're talking about four.
SPEAKER_03:Oh, there's only four.
SPEAKER_09:Oh Lord Heaven's that have never made it.
SPEAKER_01:Anyway, let's not let's not get off into Lions, Texans, and Jaguars. Yes, let's not let's not get off deep into that. Um, but Grizz, I agree with you. Um you you gotta root for Seattle, right? Because you now live there, and their road to the Super Bowl has been impressive, to say the least, because the way that they just manhandled uh Bro like really, like really it was like it was like the 49ers didn't just didn't even they didn't even want to play. They didn't even want to be able to do it.
SPEAKER_05:They beat him into submission, bro.
SPEAKER_01:Yeah, they did.
SPEAKER_05:That was like watching Patty the Batty just beat the fuck out of Seattle.
SPEAKER_01:Right. I was like, God damn. I was like, and and here I'm thinking it's gonna be 49ers and Broncos in the big game, and and Seattle said, no, not today. Not if I have something to say about it. Yeah, not on my watch. Exactly. So Seattle, okay, they're there they are impressive, they are very impressive. That defense is scary as hell, so yeah, we'll have to wait and see uh who who makes it to the big dance. Um that's kind of exciting.
SPEAKER_05:The PTSD is real in this CD City, though. I can imagine because Pete Carroll ruined it for everybody. Right, because uh like there's some there's some people in that that I've interacted with who I've told that I believe we're gonna win against the Rams today. And they're like, I don't know, the Rams are a really good team, they got our number, and I'm like, I don't know if you watched last week, but I don't think this defense gives two shits about any records right now. Yeah, because like they are just they're just manhandling, yeah. That's that Seattle defense is scary.
SPEAKER_03:And that and that's Rams are ranked five, like they're 12 and 5 against the Seahawks, who's 14 and 3, and they were number one in their division. So yeah.
SPEAKER_05:Like, don't get me wrong, the Rams are conference not to be taken lightly. You have Matthew Stafford at the wheel. That boy has a no-book passion. Right. Whatever his name is, yeah. They got uh Puka Nakua or whatever whatever his name is.
SPEAKER_01:Listen, we're not we're not they got Pikachu. They got Pikachu.
SPEAKER_05:That's going right on social media.
SPEAKER_11:You don't know yet, but it's going on the social media. I do know it yet.
SPEAKER_01:It's gone there. It's gone there.
SPEAKER_00:God damn it.
SPEAKER_01:Oh man.
SPEAKER_05:Yeah, they got some weapons, bro.
SPEAKER_01:No, they they they truly do, and that's why I'm like, that's why I said I think even with uh uh Denver losing Bo Nicks, I think their defense is gonna be the deciding factor because they force a lot of turnovers. That's what that and that's huge. And if they can if they can if they can score a lot from defensive turnovers, that's gonna be tough to beat. You know what I'm saying?
SPEAKER_09:That's gonna be very tough to beat. On the flip side of that, if the Patriots put pressure on Steady, Steedy, whatever the fuck's name is, yeah, that guy.
SPEAKER_03:I don't think he's successful. I mean, probably not.
SPEAKER_01:Probably not, but like their offensive line.
SPEAKER_03:They're gonna take away the run game. If they can take away the run game on Broncos, that offensive line stood up pretty winning the game.
SPEAKER_01:That listen, that that offensive line for Denver stood up pretty well. I I don't think Bo was pressured like one time throughout that whole entire game. No, I get it. I'm just saying they break his foot. That that at the end of the fucking game. Yeah, they broke his ankle on the second last play. Yeah, swear to God.
SPEAKER_03:Which was when he did the uh when he did the kneel down, his ankle was or his foot was already broken.
SPEAKER_01:Yeah, his ankle was broke at that point. So that and that and that's why they were like, it's great that the game ended the way it did, but now it's like, really? I don't know. That's that's why I'm saying even with Bo Nicks going out, I think their defense is gonna be the deciding factor, and I I will be okay with that. But anyway, we are not to get deep into the weeds of the AFL because we have a whole show to get to. We already did. Yeah, exactly. So we're okay though.
SPEAKER_05:We have a feather. We're pulling back out.
SPEAKER_01:That's true. So, Grizz, I'm glad you're doing swell. I truly am, and I'm rooting for the I'm listening this is I have no skin in the game as far as every team there, but I'm I'm this is the best postseason so far up until now.
SPEAKER_05:Yeah, I agree with that statement, man.
SPEAKER_01:It's been it's they've had solid games, pretty close games. A lot of games went into overtime, so Tebleton disappeared.
unknown:I don't know what happened.
SPEAKER_01:So, but anyway, um, I'm glad you're doing great. I was literally about to ask him what his pulse looked like, but never mind! So just kidding, Yeti Guys, let's see if you can get this right. It's a new season, new day for Yeti. What does your pulse look alike?
SPEAKER_04:Can't hear ya. Can't hear ya. Uh-oh.
SPEAKER_11:Zero. Zero.
SPEAKER_01:Can you hear me now? Oh, we can hear you now, so let's try let's try this again. What does your pulse look like?
SPEAKER_03:It's it's low.
SPEAKER_01:What does that mean?
SPEAKER_03:Um It's low. It's like it's like it's like it's like, I don't know, like 70?
SPEAKER_01:What wait, hang on, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait.
SPEAKER_03:What did you just get it right? I did get it right, because I've done this I've done some studying. Nice. Yeah, yeah, yeah. I'm trying to get my doctorates.
unknown:What?
SPEAKER_01:I have no other words to say. How many years has it been since we asked this question, and he's always giving us some astronomically wrong number.
SPEAKER_03:I have no idea, but I I finally understand how the pulse works.
SPEAKER_01:Oh, oh, oh, he's that guy from from TikTok. Oh, I understand it now.
SPEAKER_03:Yeah. I understand it all. Oh, I'm not sure. It's how many breaths you can take in a minute. I completely understand.
SPEAKER_01:Okay, okay. Well, listen, listen, we'll take the win where we can get it. So tell us why your pulse is about a 70, because that's pretty chilly.
SPEAKER_03:Well, because, like, so I mean, obviously, I don't want to be the Debbie of the Downer or Debbie of the Downer of the group or whatever.
SPEAKER_07:Debbie does that.
SPEAKER_03:But then I do it, but then I'm gonna do it, but then I'm gonna do it. So a week ago, um, I had to put my dog down. Yeah, that's sad. Yeah, and that was my dog. Like me and my wife had this dog for 10 years, and he was like, he was a huge dog. He was like a hundred pounds, I think at his peak. Yeah, he's he was like 110, um big ass, big ass mouth, big ass head, just an awesome dog, you know. And everybody that seen him was like scared of him. And then, but like once you like interacted with him, you leave away walking. Oh, he's just a gentle giant. Yeah, because he was, he was very gentle. He he knew his size, and he was a cuddle bug, and he was he was the best. And you guys seen him a couple times back here, actually. Yeah, yep. The big the big black one. So um, we had to put him down. Um, they found a mass on his chest that was pretty much filled with blood. I think it was his spleen attached to his spleen or was a spleen. Um a lot of information was shared that day. Um, but there was no getting better. Um even if we did surgery, there would length of life would have been probably six months because of the diagnosis that it was. If it was cancer, it would have been six months. If it wasn't cancer, it could have been longer, but it would have it would have just continued to come back and continue and continue. And it just at a certain point as much as I would have loved to keep him here, like there would I would have been selfish to keep him around and be in agony. And and and and just so there's no misunderstanding, like he was already showing symptoms of being in pain. Um he would randomly do a dry heave and we thought he was gonna puke, and he it started like three weeks ago, it started four weeks ago now. Um when we took him, it was at the three-week mark. Um, but it progressively got worse. It it was like once or twice a day in the beginning, and then by the three weeks, it was like every time he was laying down, every time he'd lay down, and basically what was happening is that mass would would would roll or move onto his lung, which would then cause him to have shortness of breath, which would then cause him to get up and gasp for air, and that was him like struggling. So, like, I just don't want to see my dog go through that. So it's crazy because I took him in for his yearly checkup for his yearly checkup to get his shots and everything else. And when we were there, I said, Yeah, he's doing this dry heap thing. And she and the and the the doctor was like, Well, let's hold off, let's treat this like a a a visit and we'll go from there. And then had to get x-rays and and everything else, and then it just went so quick, like there was no time to like really unpack. Um, I had to get my wife from work, you know, she took it hard, obviously. And yeah, so we had to do that, but uh one thing I've learned as much as I love my dog, time heals everything. Um he was just so you guys know, he was also he was either we got him when he was a few years old. We just don't know if he was two or four, because the place we got him from said he was two when we took him to the his first vet, they said that he was probably four. Yeah. So if he's four, that means we had him for ten years, he was fourteen. If he was two, we had him for ten, that's twelve. So he was somewhere between twelve and fourteen.
SPEAKER_01:So I mean he had he lived a long life.
SPEAKER_03:He lived, he lived he lived a solid life. I mean, and and and for being a bigger dog, too, that's the other thing, too.
SPEAKER_01:And for being a hundred pounds, that's that's that's that's a long life.
SPEAKER_03:That's a solid, yeah, that's a solid life. And and the 10 years that we had him, oh I mean, we did so much with him. If everybody and if anybody knows us, I mean that dog was our world. So yeah. Yeah, rest rest easy, Rue. We love you.
SPEAKER_01:Good old blockhead. Good old blockhead. Call them blockhead all the time because they had a big ass head. I was like, look at that big old head of yours.
SPEAKER_03:Yeah, dude. Fucking crazy dog.
SPEAKER_05:But yeah, so well, Yeti, if it if it brings any um comfort. I went through this a few years ago with my cat. My uh something similar. Like I I you know, woke got woke up in the middle of the night to my cat like screeching and couldn't do anything for him until morning. Right. Which that sucked. And then we took him took him to the vet emergency vet visit, and um all the wheels fell off, man. I mean, like they gave us a little bit of hope of like Uh you might be able to come pick him up today. We're gonna do our best, this and the other. Right. And I get a phone call. Hey, come like is you're good to come pick him up. And in that drive, not even a 20-minute drive. It went from you're taking him home to you're putting him down. Yeah, right. And like that shit is heavy, bro.
SPEAKER_03:Yeah, it is. Because like you you're expecting one thing and it's literally a 180. Yeah. Yeah. It's literally a 180.
SPEAKER_05:I had to get like special I had to get like a special litter box for him because he had like all this shit going on. And so I'm at the pet store buying all this shit, and I get a phone call from the vet like, hey, you need to come now. And so I just like drop everything at the pet store and go to the vet. And yeah, it it's it's heavy shit, man. It sucks. But the thing that I found to bring me comfort is one, knowing that I I I believe it's it's taken me a long time to accept this, but I do believe that it was the right decision to let him go because we had control of that. Yeah, right. Right. Like like you said, like you could give him six months or maybe more months than that, but are they good months?
SPEAKER_01:Right.
SPEAKER_05:Right, right. Quality of life. Right, right. And like I don't know, that's a that's a heavy burden to bear, but it is, but I I I I think that the the comfort is knowing that if the roles were reversed and if the dog or the cat had the choice to let me go because I was in pain, right? Then I don't think that they would be selfish and make me stay. Right.
SPEAKER_01:You know, you know how Mother Nature be, she a cold-hearted bitch, and especially especially in other species.
SPEAKER_03:But go ahead and some no, I was just gonna say that's why some countries have that, and it's gonna be really morbid, but like some countries have that assistant suicide because they people they know that like because I've always joked, and I've always joked, and I've always said this when I can't wipe my own ass.
SPEAKER_01:Put me out of my misery.
SPEAKER_03:Put me out of my misery.
SPEAKER_01:Yeah, put me out of my misery.
SPEAKER_03:Just just that sounds that sounds horrible to say, but we but but if you break it down to like what it actually means, yeah. Some people are like, no, I get it. Like, I don't want to be just a helpless person or helpless if I'm no longer contributing. But like that right there.
SPEAKER_01:If I if I'm no longer contributing, if I can't, why am I still here? I I'm I'm suffering. Take me the fuck out. Do not do not hold on to me. Don't be like Yeti said, don't be selfish just because, well, I'm gonna miss you. Okay, that's great. No, and and I and I feel for you. Like I I can empathize to a point. Because yeah, it it does suck losing loved ones, losing pets, and especially pets, because you gotta I I excuse me. Um, you are their whole life, right? You are their whole life. So it's it's it's tough when especially when you lose a pet, because it's like you go through so many now. If you want your pet to outlive you, get yourself a tortoise, right? But at the end of the day, at the end of the day, well, no, that's a generational pet, dog. Like you hand that down. You know what I mean? Like you're like, hey, you gotta take care of the tortoise now. Exactly. So that that's a generational pet. Yeah, a sea turtle, let that bitch live 200 years. Yeah, there's turtles in the family since my great granddad. But no, like ultimately, though, like if I'm no longer a contributing member of society and I'm just laying in a bed, like just almost a vegetable, it's time to go, right? Like, it is time. I've I've fulfilled my time here. Release me, release me into the wild, my guy, cause no way. Yeah, yeah. No shot.
SPEAKER_00:Right.
SPEAKER_01:So, but yes, it does suck, Yeti. Um as you said, time does heal. Um, it all it uh or as some people would say, time makes things easier to cope with. Um, so you know, just we're always thinking about Ruben. Ruben Ruben was a good dog. Um but with that being said, uh, fellas, now that we are all sad and down now, we're gonna have to I know I apologize, we're gonna have to we're gonna have to lift No, I get it, I get it, I get it. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Don't yeah, don't don't apologize. Right. Don't don't apologize. Yeah. So Yeah, that that's life. But um we got some entertainment news to cover, and I uh I kind of I kind of figured this would be a great way to start this, especially um now with the new stuff we're gonna try out. But for entertainment news here, did y'all hear that TikTok officially sold?
SPEAKER_00:Whoa. No, I didn't even hear that at all.
SPEAKER_01:TikTok officially sold. It is now officially under new ownership of the United States of America. Okay, I can't completely okay. Hang on, wait. I can't completely be some side hanging. Hang on, hang on, hang on. So it is now called TikTok USDS Joint Venture LLC. Ask for it by name. No, ask for it by name. It includes TikTok, Cap Cut, and Lemon 8, along with other apps. There's a portfolio of apps that it falls under. Now, they have a they have a whole board uh board of uh uh whatchall it of directors, and I think there's eight, I think there's eight people on that board of directors, all of them men, by the way, just to point that out. Of course. And but here's here's here's silver lining. Uh Shochu, I'm s Senator, I'm Singaporean, he is one of the members on uh on the board. So I take you know take that how you will. Um and then of course, uh Bite Dance still retains 19.9% of the company. So Bite Dance still has a little bit of a little bit in there, but I think I don't think obviously it's not majority. Uh the algorithm will still will stay the same. Uh it's not a totally new algorithm, but with that being said, they are retraining that algorithm on US user data. So TikTok is no longer we don't we no longer have the will they, won't they, are they leaving, fuck and get it over with already type relationship with TikTok. It is here to stay, essentially, because now they're saying that you know uh I I know Oracle um was one of the big major contributors, um, but then again, Oracle has been around for a few years now because they're saying that all the data will now be stored in the US. Well, fun fact, it has been for the last few years because it's been in Texas, the state of Texas is where our servers are, and that's where all of our data has been stored. I don't know for sure. Listen, I'm not I don't I don't like to like be a conspiracy theorist or anything like that, but was it really about the data?
SPEAKER_05:Probably probably I think I think it's more than that, but my my conspiracy theory strings are being pulled towards all those servers in Texas are gonna get moved to the White House, but probably that's that's the uh I was gonna say that's the ballroom they're constructing. Yeah, yeah. Yeah. I actually I actually really do think that that is what that ballroom is being built for. I wouldn't doubt by the observer soon. I wouldn't I wouldn't doubt it. I I truly wouldn't. Because there's a lot of tech investors for that ballroom. Why do they need that? I don't know. Why do they need a tech investor for a ballroom? It's a good question. Listen, listen, I may have dropped out of college, but I'm not a fucking idiot.
SPEAKER_01:Yeah, I'm not fucking exclusive, okay? Go play with go play with your mama, don't play with me, okay? Trying to lie to me. Are you fucking kidding me? Yeah, so but yes, TikTok has officially sold. It is now under new ownership, so now we won't have to worry about the you know the whole TikTok ban and all that crap. Um, but that was officially official a couple of days ago. So um how we feeling? Are you guys still gonna use TikTok? Are you gonna jump ship? I know some people are gonna are like, I'm going to Red Note, and that's that.
SPEAKER_05:I'm already not much of a TikTok user. Okay. Yeah. But this kind of makes this like like full transparency, like gloves off. This does make me want to delete the app and delete my account.
SPEAKER_01:That's fair. That's fair.
SPEAKER_05:Yeti mainly, oh mainly because I don't trust the US.
SPEAKER_01:Listen, I I get it, and and and a lot of people don't. A lot of people don't. So it's like, you know, when they mention they're retraining the algorithm on US user data, and I'm like, how much of it it really is US user data? How much of it is like what they're gonna feed into the AI to retrain it, you know what I mean, to the algorithm.
SPEAKER_05:Um right, and like what's the purpose, right? Like, like why they fight so hard to own this thing? Like, what is like what's the grand again?
SPEAKER_01:That's that's why I said, was it really about the data and where it was stored? Like that there they like uh ultimately they wanted they were saying that you know the Chinese government uh could just walk in and access anybody's data, and I'm like, okay, but Meta like gets their data hacked all the time, they sell our data all the time without us knowing. Literally, just got like$30 from a class action lawsuit from Facebook for selling my data without my permission. So it's like, what are we talking about? Here's$30 for the for your inconvenience. That's great. That might buy you a lunch, right? That's great. Where's my data at? Who who has it? Did you get it back, or is it just am I out of luck? So it's like, I don't know. That's why that's why I asked the question, like, is it really about where the data was stored? Was it ultimately about that, or were they just kind of like, you know, they just want to have a hand in it because you know what I mean? Like, like it's it we're America, we gotta own it all. So you know, is you know what I mean?
SPEAKER_05:Hold on. Does TikTok have oil?
SPEAKER_03:They might looks like somebody. I think I think they just wanted the information that was already gathered.
SPEAKER_01:Which is fair, which is what I think, which is fair. That that could that could be a possibility. And but but here's the thing if the algorithm stays the algorithm, which it is essentially, they're just essentially retraining the algorithm. If I had to guess, though, it's a watered-down algorithm. Because from from my understanding, China has also banned TikTok a long time ago, and they have, and I think I think it's Red Note that is their version of TikTok, maybe possibly.
SPEAKER_02:But it's something like that.
SPEAKER_01:Uh but it is like I'm I mean, don't get don't get me wrong. I might be wrong, it might be something else, but I I heard that they do have a different algorithm for that app. Now, will that be the same for us? I don't know, especially with Byte Dan still owning 19.9% of the company. Are we still utilizing their algorithm? It's just, you know.
SPEAKER_05:Why can we talk about that? Why 19.9?
SPEAKER_01:I don't I don't know. Like, what a crazy it's a it's a very specific number, that's for sure.
SPEAKER_05:Yeah. I don't know. I would love to give you 20%, but but we can't give you the full 20%.
SPEAKER_01:I am so sorry.
SPEAKER_05:People tell me if I give you 20%, then I'm a stupid guy. So god damn it, dude.
SPEAKER_01:It's 19, it's 19.99999999999. We'll get you as close to 20% as humanly possible. Bet. If you want that extra point.01%, it's a tariff. The fucking tariff. Uh so yeah, there you have it. Uh tick tock, tick tock is sold. Um, I do want to touch on this really quickly. I didn't write this down, but this is kind of big news, especially for me. Um and Yeti, you might find this interesting. Uh, we got some Dragon Ball news. Um, they had the big uh Ginky, whatever it is. I I'm I'll I'll murder that word, but they had big news for Dragon Ball. Um, Dragon Ball, the anime, uh, will be returning in 2026 uh in the fall. Now, I want to get I want I do want to get on get your opinion on this really fast. They have the Galactic Patrol arc uh that will start. They didn't give a uh uh uh a date for that or a time for that, they just said that it's in production.
SPEAKER_03:Hold on, that that's super, right?
SPEAKER_01:So yes, it'll be Dragon Ball Super, it'll be the continuation of Super. The Galactic Patrol arc is after the Tournament of Power. Now, I have read the manga, I've kept up with the manga. The manga has been on hiatus ever since the passing of our goat, a Kiratoriyama. Uh Rest in peace. Um but it is I'm kind of excited to see that can the the rest of it animated. But there was they also unveiled that they will essentially be redoing Dragon Ball Super from the start. So they Dragon Ball Super Beerus will release in fall of twenty of this year. Uh essentially going back to the beginning, um during the Battle of Gods arc, uh, where Goku first gets uh Super Saiyan God and all that kind of stuff. Uh it'll have better animation. Uh they are they did release they did release a trailer, so if you ever get the if you get an opportunity after the after the show today, uh pull it up, take a look at it. I want to I do want to hear your thoughts on it because it I think the I think the animation is gonna be kind of uh Dragon Ball Dyma esque, like leaning toward that style of animation. It does look a lot cleaner, I will say. Um from my understanding, from my understanding, they're supposed to it's almost gonna be like Dragon Ball Z Kai, where they're gonna try to make it more closer to the manga, what's on the page, to animation.
SPEAKER_00:Okay.
SPEAKER_01:So nice. That's what that's what we have to look forward to in fall of 2026. Um so Dragon Ball fans, if you're excited, let us know. You know, fire off in the comments. Um I I'm more I'm more excited about the the Galactic Patrol arc. Like I cannot wait for the Moro arc to be animated. It's going to be legit. Like that's gonna be fire. I can't wait. I'm excited.
SPEAKER_03:So And what's that in the Mor the Moro arc? That's that's super, right?
SPEAKER_01:Yes, it's still Dragon Ball Super. It's just after the tournament. It's after the Tournament of Power. It's everything that the manga continued um after after the anime uh officially ended after the tournament of power. So we'll get the we'll get the uh Moro arc. Well, it'll be the Galactic Patrol arc into the Moro Arc into the Granola arc, which I love the Granola Arc. Granola and those last few arcs that they had, solid. And then we get into the I don't want to ruin anything, uh no, no spoilers. Um, but we get into the which a lot of people are thinking is gonna be the final arc, but the last Frieza arc. I'll say that. Um and then hopefully we'll see more of that. But anyway. Is that the is that the black man Frieza? Well, again, I said no spoilers. God damn. So yes, yeah. I mean, yes. Since since since Yeti's already thrown it out there, yes, the black Frieza arc. That's that's the arc that oh it's just black Frieza. Yeah, it's not black man Frieza. I don't know why you would say black man Frieza. I don't even know what the fuck that is. Yeah, that's crazy.
SPEAKER_05:That is crazy where he's a is that black man Frieza? That's that's something someone's grandma would say.
SPEAKER_01:Yeah, somebody's grandma or grandpa would say, grandpappy. They're gonna you see that black man Frieza over there. Just as racist as uh as Frieza.
SPEAKER_03:Oh okay, so why are they restarting Super?
SPEAKER_01:So like I because no one liked it. No, uh, I mean, so I I would say for the most part to clean up the animation, because when Super was animated, it when you when you watched it live, which I did, the animation for Super was atrocious, especially the first two arcs, which honestly when Super first came out, uh um, I mean the anime, um it was they retold uh Battle of Gods, which was a Dragon Ball Z film, and Resurrection F, which was also a Dragon Ball Z film, before it became Dragon Ball Super anime. And I told everybody, I said, if you do not care for all the small little extra, and I mean very small little extra bullshit that they added into the anime for those two arcs, I was like, watch Battle of Gods and then Resurrection F and then start at the Universal 6-7 uh surviv survival tournament arc. And I promise you you will appreciate that way more than watching the anime. I prom I promise. Because the animation, number one, is cleaner in the movies, and it's much more streamlined because it is in film format rather than an anime, so you don't get all the full the filler bullshit and all that kind of stuff. And I told everybody that, and everybody that I know that followed that timeline, they appreciated super a lot more than watching super solely from start to finish.
SPEAKER_03:Yeah, I didn't have a problem with super. Maybe I'm just gonna do it.
SPEAKER_01:I don't listen, I don't have an issue with super. The problem was the animation. The animation was, like I said, was absolutely atrocious, and you had like you have seen so much better animation.
SPEAKER_03:Um, I'm gonna have to rewatch it.
SPEAKER_01:The problem was they had a very, very tight schedule, and they were just like they were just getting worked to death as far as the animation goes. And that's why we got sloppy ass animation. So ultimately, I think it is just to number one clean up the animation, number two, to fill in a lot of the plot holes that's super created. Because if we remember, see Fat Boo here, the Majin Buu arc, when um Goku and Vegeta use the Pitar earrings and they become oh, wait a minute, Vegito. Um wait, just the visual representations here. Um the uh uh the elder Kai told uh Goku and Vegeta, once you fuse, there's no unfusing. That's that's what was told. That's that's what was said. They unfused in Boo. There was really no explanation as to why they unfused inside of Boo.
SPEAKER_03:Um I thought they did. They tried to cover it.
SPEAKER_01:So again, it they tried to they tried to explain it in Super, where they where they said that for for Kai's, for gods, when they use it, they can't there's no time limit. But for but because they're mortals, there was only they could only stay fused for one hour. Why did we wait this long to explain that? I have no fucking idea. Um so and then of course when they went Super Saiyan Blue or yeah, Super Saiyan Blue Vegito, it only lasted. Like five minutes because they burn through all the energy, which again people are like, Well, if it's a fusion, should it not matter how much energy is output? Because once you on the flip side of that, when they when you do the fusion dance, like with Gogeta, which I don't have him up here, obviously. Uh it did it is for a prime example, the Broly movie, he lasted the full 30 minutes and he went Super Saiyan Blue. It was a 30 minute fight, start to finish, and he ne didn't matter how much po uh power they output, they stayed fused, which is essentially and the Patara earrings are supposed to be more stable than the fusion dance. And that's why people kind of had a problem with that's kind of a plot hole to a lot of fans. Is like if if the why is the fusion dance more stable than the Patara earrings when the Patara earrings are supposed to be the superior fusion type, you know what I'm saying? So it it's it'll it'll just be filling in some holes and making it cleaner and more aesthetically pleasing, essentially. And closer to the manga, obviously. But anyway, we're not here to talk about that. Well we could. We could, we absolutely could, but we're not here to talk about that. What we are here to talk about is, I don't know, maybe, maybe, maybe something that Yeti might have to have to have to have to do.
SPEAKER_03:I do have a question.
SPEAKER_04:What's up?
SPEAKER_03:Is it the house is on fire or the fire is on the house? I thought about this for a few days now, and it's just I was in the shower and I thought about it. And I just I don't know.
SPEAKER_04:What the fuck?
SPEAKER_02:Say that again? Is the house on fire? Or is the fire on the house?
SPEAKER_01:Wouldn't the fire technically be inside the house? Yeti, I don't have time for this bullshit. Can you get into Reddit Roulette? Okay, as long as that didn't go nowhere. Is the house on fire or is the fire on the house? Who asks that question? Yeti. You know what? Short answer, Yeti. Just just Reddit Roulette.
unknown:Okay.
SPEAKER_09:One through five. Uh three metal lets. One.
SPEAKER_03:Two. Where's my camera? Oh, it's up there now.
SPEAKER_01:Yeah, it's up there now.
SPEAKER_03:Three.
SPEAKER_01:He doesn't even know where his camera is. Okay, am I Imagine losing your camera that's attached to your computer?
SPEAKER_03:That's crazy. Okay. Am I the asshole for asking slash having sugary drinks?
unknown:What?
SPEAKER_03:Huh? Oh my god. I mean, I kind of want to. And we're off to the races. For context, I don't usually ask for surgery sugary drinks, and when I do, it's mostly just ice caps.
SPEAKER_11:I'm fucking dead.
SPEAKER_03:Which isn't all the time, since it's not something I ask for weekly or or even every day. I'll ask my mom when I feel like it, but when I do, she makes it into a huge problem like, oh, you're gonna have diabetes or you'll die sooner if you keep this up. Jesus. But when I don't ask for one at all, she'll be like, Do you want one? Which makes things really stupid, in my opinion. If I'm gonna be yelled at for having a cer sugary drink, why ask me if I want one? When I never ask at all as to when the day was a toxic relationship. Why ask me if I want one when I never asked at all as to when the day it was? What?
SPEAKER_01:Okay.
SPEAKER_03:That's the last sentence. That's the last sentence?
SPEAKER_01:That's it. Is that the end of the story? Can you tell it again? Do we have to do that? They are the ass for writing that and wasting our fucking time. Because what?
SPEAKER_09:Okay, so how old was he posted before I start laying into this motherfucker, dude?
SPEAKER_03:This was posted three hours or 11 hours ago, bro.
SPEAKER_09:So recent, so recent 17 comments.
SPEAKER_01:Okay, read some of the comments. Do we know do we know uh OP's age?
SPEAKER_03:No, not enough, not enough, not enough info. Then that's this was this was asked 11 hours ago. OP said basically anytime I ask for a sugary drink, which is mainly an i just an ice cap, I'm treated as if I'm gonna die from having one. How old are you? You seem very uh okay.
SPEAKER_09:No, seriously, because the they said their mom is doing this? Yeah, I heard that too. No, oh my god, he answered the question. Are you ready for this? Are you guys sitting down? Are you guys sitting down? Yeah, do you want me to sit up?
SPEAKER_05:Let me grab a chair. Let me grab a chair.
SPEAKER_01:Yeah, do you want me to stand up out of my chair real quick?
SPEAKER_03:Stand up in your chair.
SPEAKER_09:All right, you ready for this? The OP said 22.
SPEAKER_01:Oh no, hold on. See, that that did make me sit down. What? 22. So they're 22 and they're and they're their mom, right? Their mother. They're yeah. Okay, pushed them out of their pooch.
SPEAKER_03:This is a response from 10 hours ago. Someone asked a long, a very long comment. So I'm just gonna read what the OP responded with. 22, but usually I'm having waffles or pancakes. I don't use maple syrup or syrups on it since I don't really like as much, and it's sticky for me. I use ice, I use cream cheese instead, ice cap wise. It's only a small size. There are times when I do really like ice cap, small ice coffee.
SPEAKER_05:My mom's this ice cap thing. I don't know what an ice cap is.
SPEAKER_01:Ice cappuccino, ice cappuccino is is what I'm gonna assume. Like from like McDonald's, Tim Hortons, whatever the fuck it might be. I gotta assume that's what they're talking about. Yeah, yeah.
SPEAKER_03:See, they're 22 live at home. Because I'm over here like, fuck ice.
SPEAKER_01:Wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait. So we don't okay. So we don't get like banned or anything by the joke.
SPEAKER_00:Of course. I'm clearly clearly was joking.
SPEAKER_09:Clearly was joking. What are you so familiar? I was reading random changes. He said, he said ice. That's awesome. For the joke, of course.
SPEAKER_03:You're welcome. Okay. I'm gonna try to make pieces and parts, I don't know, sense of this. The kid. Oh my god, he's 22.
SPEAKER_01:Yeah, but we uh I'm gonna say kid. I'm going to say kid.
SPEAKER_05:For those listening. Yeti's hand is on his face. And he says, God, he's 22.
SPEAKER_01:Because he said, because you heard him in the he said, this kid, he's like, oh, but he's 22. Like, yeah, yeah. But we can say kid at this point because of how you're acting, right? Because no shot. No shot. Are you gonna did you just go to the internet and say, I'm 22 years old?
SPEAKER_03:Okay, so okay, okay, hold on. Okay. I don't know how to ask this question. What do you mean, brother? Is there a chance that this individual may not be a hundred percent?
SPEAKER_05:Dare I say? Like on the spectrum.
SPEAKER_01:On the spectrum, yeah, like on the spectrum. It's it's possible. That's the case.
SPEAKER_05:I've gone straight to hell for all the thoughts I've had.
SPEAKER_01:But shut up. That's the only we getting smited tomorrow.
SPEAKER_03:That's the only thing I could possibly say to make that make that whole thing make sense.
SPEAKER_01:Make somewhat sense.
SPEAKER_09:Because there's no way someone of the right mind would be like, hey.
SPEAKER_01:We don't know. Yeah, I was gonna say, we don't know like what 22-year-olds are thinking nowadays. Like, I I I feel like that ice cappuccino's ice caps.
SPEAKER_05:Hello. So hold on. Are we sure? I go I Googled it. I googled it. It's an ice cappuccino. And the most common thing that popped up was Tim Hortons Ice Cappuccino.
SPEAKER_01:Ice Cappuccino. Oh ice cappuccino. Yes. Yeah, bro. Ice cap. Ice caps. That's what that's why I said. That's why I said Tim Hortons has the ice caps. McDonald's has the Frappuccinos.
SPEAKER_06:Okay.
SPEAKER_01:So that's all.
SPEAKER_06:Michael Bar has the nightcaps.
SPEAKER_01:Yeah, exactly. And I'm sure somebody else, I'm sure somebody else has a cap somewhere. It's just 22 years old. I just don't I don't I just want to Okay.
SPEAKER_00:22 years old and their mother saying, You're gonna get diabetes.
SPEAKER_03:Right?
SPEAKER_05:Yo, this I you solved it.
SPEAKER_00:This is Bobby Boucher's post, bro.
SPEAKER_01:My mama said, my mama said it. My mama said I'm gonna get the diabetes if I keep drinking all those ice caps.
SPEAKER_03:All right, here we go. Here we go. God damn it. I'm joining the conversation.
SPEAKER_01:Oh, dude. Are you really? Are you posting? Are you posting? No, he's doing it. Yeah, he's he's hook line and sinker.
SPEAKER_03:Hey, I want to make sure I spell boche, right?
SPEAKER_01:Oh, here we go. So so so they're asking the question are they the asshole for drinking sugary drinks because their mother keeps saying they're gonna get diabetes? Is that is that the ultimate is that the question? Is that what we're trying to figure out?
SPEAKER_00:But I can read that.
SPEAKER_01:Yeah, no shit. There it is. Bobby Boucher. Yeah, Bobby Boucher question mark.
SPEAKER_05:Dude, that comment is gonna soar over every person reading head.
SPEAKER_01:They're not gonna know who the hell that is. They're gonna be like Bobby Boo who? Yeah, Bobby Boucher. What's a boucher? Listen, listen, listen, listen. So the question is, so the question is, are they the asshole because their mother said they're gonna get diabetes from drinking all those ice caps? Is that what we're trying to figure out?
SPEAKER_03:No, I think it's because they yes. Or go no, I think the question is, are they the asshole for getting upset because their mother yells at them when they want one, but then asks when they want if they want one when they don't ask.
SPEAKER_05:It's a toxic relationship, and it does sound like Bobby Bootet and his mom. It honestly does.
SPEAKER_01:Because it's like because it's like here go okay, because here's the thing. Like we have to be. It's a troll. This is a true plan. That's not a that's not a real thing. That is not real. Because there's really no how who asked? It's just us. Yeah, no shit. But who can how can you be an asshole for ordering a sugary drink? Like, I don't understand. Are they doing something after their mother asks them? Like, are they saying, Oh, now you want me to drink sugary drinks? Now you want to give me diabetes.
SPEAKER_05:I have a lot of questions. Like, does the mom have diabetes? 22.
SPEAKER_01:Okay. I mean, diabetes can strike at any age, so I'm not gonna diabetes don't need no bounds.
SPEAKER_03:Yeah, exactly. Do you know what I was doing when I was 21, 22?
SPEAKER_01:I don't want to know. Buying ice caps and not giving a fuck. Thank you. If I wanted a fucking ice cap, I'm gonna go get one. But that's why I'm that's why I'm asking. I have the question. I'm like, okay, so why so what is the question? Are they the asshole for wanting one? For drinking it, for simply drinking it? Are they the asshole for simply drinking an ice cap? No, you're not an asshole for simply drinking an ice cap. If that's the question, if that's what we're trying to get to the bottom of. Yeah, or sugary drinks. If that's what we're trying to get to the bottom of, no, you're not an asshole for simply drinking sugary stuff.
SPEAKER_05:You're not now or is it are they the asshole for turning down the offer when asked, but then gets upset when thank you.
unknown:Thank you.
SPEAKER_05:Gets upset when uh offered one. I don't know. To be honest, you're 22. Move out, do what you want. Yeah, I don't know. You can't afford to move out, then quit bitching on the internet. I don't know, man.
SPEAKER_01:And that's the next thing. That's the next thing. Do they have a job? Do they have a car? Because if you do, if you have both of those things, you have your own money, you got your own call. You can just hop in the fucking car, drive your ass down to Tim Hortons, and get yourself a fucking sugary drink if you want to. That's how that oper. That's how that works. That's how that works. That's how that works. But at this point, yeah, but do they need to teach this in school now? Now see you, children.
SPEAKER_05:Education system has failed us.
SPEAKER_01:You have failed. This city. When you have your own, when you have your own job, make your own money, have your own vehicle, you're allowed to jump in said vehicle, go wherever you want, and spend your money however you want to.
SPEAKER_05:It is your hard money to vote. You're old enough to drink sugary drinks.
SPEAKER_03:The overall question is am I to ask whole for asking slash having sugary drinks?
SPEAKER_01:So asking for the sugary drink.
SPEAKER_03:Or having one.
SPEAKER_01:Or having one. Just that's it.
SPEAKER_05:Why you asking? Just go get one. I'm about listen, I'm about to be real heinous. We gotta we gotta wrap this bitch up. That's it. It's just it's what it's 2026.
SPEAKER_03:This fucking brittle ass fucking question would have caused so much conversation and hate in this fucking discussion.
SPEAKER_05:I can promise you right now, this it's not it's not the person person who asked the question. There's outside factors that has me a lot more mad than I should be at this now.
unknown:Yeah.
SPEAKER_01:Because it's like, what? What what what do you mean? Are you the asshole for wanting to drink whatever you want to drink? I don't understand. I don't understand.
SPEAKER_05:That's why I'm like uh TikTok just got bought by the US. Buy your sugary drink.
SPEAKER_11:Like, I don't know, I don't get it.
SPEAKER_09:TikTok just got bought by the US. Buy your sugary drinks.
SPEAKER_01:Very good, Chris.
SPEAKER_03:Like very good. Here's the thing though, like this okay, so I'm not gonna lie. Like, there when we were younger, we would get drinks, and mom would be like, yo, you're you're gonna get diabetes. And that was it.
SPEAKER_01:Diabetes. And that's why I was asking Johnny ate 18 Snickers. How many, how many, how many diabetes did he have? Johnny just ate 18 Snickers. What is what does Johnny have? Diabetes.
SPEAKER_11:Diabetes? It's just it's one. Um, okay.
SPEAKER_01:So it's like it's like, it's just okay. I'm I'm still I don't we do need to move on because I'm confused. My brain is hurting from squash.
SPEAKER_05:I'm mad, I'm confused.
SPEAKER_01:I'm mad, I'm confused.
SPEAKER_11:Hold on, shutting down. Shutting down. Or hey, are they the asshole?
SPEAKER_01:I don't know. I'm okay. For argument's sake, because of the question that they asked. Am I the asshole for drinking or asking for sugary drinks? No, you're not. You're not an asshole for drinking a sugary drink or asking for one. You're not. Not at all. Not the long short answer, no. Long answer, get go get your sugary fucking drink. If you want your sugary drink, go get your fucking sugary drink. You don't need to involve your mother, bro. Right. There's there's no middle band for your sugary drink.
SPEAKER_03:There really isn't. You're 22. You can order something from Amazon that will come to your door and you don't even have to leave the house. Hello. DoorDash. Hello.
SPEAKER_05:Grubhub. Instacart.
SPEAKER_01:Instacart.
SPEAKER_11:Come on. There's come on no more.
SPEAKER_03:Just create something. Create DoorDash, Grubhub.
unknown:Yeah.
SPEAKER_03:Go to your front door app. Whatever. What the fuck? And you fucking order a drink.
SPEAKER_01:Can we move on? Can we move on? Can we move on? We need to move on to the asshole.
SPEAKER_05:Okay. For the context of the question, not an asshole for wanting or asking for sugary drinks. Okay. However, comma, are an asshole for writing this fucking post.
SPEAKER_01:And wasting our fucking time. Okay. Okay. With that being said, you guys ever been in a stressful situation and needed a way needed a way to calm down? SPEAKER_01:That is fucking that's like that's like chaos incarnate. Like who what?
SPEAKER_05:That was that was but you know the uh the scale of like chaos neutral, yes, neutral, neutral, chaotic good, chaotic neutral, chaotic bad. Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. Yeah, you know what I'm talking about. Yeah, yeah. That was like all the that was up in the top right corner, both. Up there.
SPEAKER_00:It was right here. Right here. To the moon, baby.
SPEAKER_01:To the moon, to the moon, Alice. Moon. So anyway, we have stuff to talk about that I hope is so much better than that stupid fucking am I the asshole. I think we have a whole uh we do have some theories to talk about. Um, what are we talking about today, guys? Anybody?
SPEAKER_03:The end of Stranger Things.
SPEAKER_01:Oh my god. Can we bel can you believe it? Can you believe it's been like ten years since the start of Stranger Things, and now we have no more Okay, I can't say we have no more Stranger Things because we do have some follow-ups that are going to come that are on the way. Uh that will if I I I'm hearing part of it, some of it will follow the main crew, but it'll be animated. Um, I believe that's the tales from 85 or whatever it is at their the Right, right, right. Um then they have the book series which will follow Nancy and Robin and solving mysteries. Um and then it will be. It'll be like a uh almost like a Nancy Drew, but it's gonna be Nancy Wheeler, right? So Nancy knock them down, Wheeler. Let's go. Let's fucking go. She was she was cold as hell. So we're gonna talk about the ending of Stranger Things, which plenty of time has passed, so this is not going to be spoiler-free, because if you haven't watched it, I don't know what to tell you. Um if you don't want spoilers, don't listen to this part of the show. Go listen to something else until you can watch the ending of Stranger Things.
SPEAKER_05:Just pause this, watch the show, come back.
SPEAKER_01:Come back, come back. Yeah, we'll be right here, I swear. Pause for pause for a dramatic effect. And then come back and listen to the rest of the show. That's how that's how we will do that, okay? So, with that being said, y'all. That is the series finale. What are you a fan? So I like that they kind of left it a little ambiguous because of the fact that you can kind of go back and forth with is if Eleven is dead or not. Because there are some signs that people did point out, um, especially at the end there, when Eleven, you know, somehow finds her way through everybody. She snakes her way through a group of armed uh uh uh military forces and her friends and family, and winds up back in back in the gate and is like, I'm gonna sh I'm gonna just stay here because like you know, like like like old number eight said, if I go, like, there will be no more problems, and then somehow, some way, like, managed to, you know, do what she did. When she went into Mike's head and had their little final goodbye, um, anytime she did that, her nose would bleed. Right, because she was using her powers. Okay. On this specific moment, at the end of uh that finale, her nose was not bleeding when she did that. So, is it possible that Callie was projecting or even Eleven? Because Eleven, again, I still feel like Eleven didn't show her full potential as like, say, Vecna did or Will did. You know what I'm saying? Like she never really uh I for me at least, I feel like she never really showed her full potential as 11. So is it possible that 11 even projected this whole entire thing? I don't know. Do we know that Callie? Right. Do we know that uh Callie, Collie? I I don't I don't really know how to say her name. I think it's Callie. I think I think it is Callie, but do we know that she like officially died at that point in time when she got shot? Like, do we know that? Was she alive?
SPEAKER_03:According to what we've seen, she was technically still alive for a little bit to do one last push.
SPEAKER_01:Right. So is it possible that Callie was alive enough, holding on just enough to be like, you know, we gotta we gotta end this, sis. And Eleven was like, alright, let's do it. And and that's how that worked. Do we know that because here's the thing there was a there was a reason why they said that w uh Mike Mike is a storyteller. He's a master storyteller, right? So the story that he told it's believable, it is possible. So that's why I'm like, I like the fact that they left it a little ambiguous, a little like almost I don't want to say Sopranos-esque because the Sopranos uh you can kind of like black screen, yeah. You can kind of guess like what happened, like Tony got whacked. Like, let's just let's just let's just move on from that, right? Um But is Eleven alive or dead? At this point it's Schrdinger's cat. She's both, right? She's alive and dead. Because you know what I mean? Like, like Mike still tells a story, it's a believable story. I I'm I'm over here thinking, damn, is that is that actually what happened? I don't know. Who knows? Right, you know, so it kind of kind of leaves the wonder and mystery, and I I appreciate that. So, but let me not Bogart. Uh what are y'all y'all's thoughts? Let's hear it.
SPEAKER_03:So I think there's two types of people that have their opinions about this series now. Okay, you're gonna have the ones that want a clear cut end, right? And they see it all. All all lines, all storylines are completely told and ended, period. Then you have the other group who likes an ending like this because it leaves it up for imagination, leaves it up for interpretation. It is no different than, and I think it's probably one of my favorite movies, Inception. Okay. Okay. At the very end of Inception, have you seen Inception Grizz?
SPEAKER_05:Yeah. Are you talking about the the scene?
SPEAKER_03:Yeah, his totem. Yeah, his totem. Boom. Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. At the end of Inception, he spins it, and if it falls, he's in the dream. Or I it's been a while since I've seen it, but if it falls, he's in the dream, or he's he's still in the dream.
SPEAKER_01:No, if it falls, he's still he's out of the dream. If it's still spinning, it never falls, he's he's dreamy.
SPEAKER_03:Yeah, yeah, yeah. Right, right. And it wobbles and the movie ends.
SPEAKER_01:Yeah.
SPEAKER_03:Yeah. Okay. I love those type of endings because it leaves it for open to interpretation. And it's it's honestly, it ends and you make the ending in your head. So if you want the person to be alive, if you want that ending to be with the ending and everyone's alive and happy dory, then that's the ending in your head and roll with it. That's fine. No one should be guilted and saying, No, that's not the way it ended. I I'm teamed that way. Um, I absolutely loved it for that reason. So I I I thought it was a good ending, in my opinion, to a what is it, 10-year saga?
SPEAKER_01:10 years, 10 years, man.
SPEAKER_03:Yes, 10 years of our lives devoted to this show, and and and I enjoyed it. And then I'm glad they ended when they did because it doesn't fall into the category of Walking Dead. I think Walking Dead was drugged a little too long. It's still one of my favorite shows, but toward the end, it kinda loses this umph. And I think they ended it nicely and they ended it when they should have.
SPEAKER_01:Okay, okay. Didn't overstay its welcome.
SPEAKER_05:Grizz? Yep. Yeah, yeah. I am mostly gonna echo exactly what Yeti said, um, just in my own font. Uh I agree with the um like the idea of letting the story be interpreted by the audience. Um and I think actually to what you said too, Jay, like she she's she's both dead and alive. Yeah. You know, like like to to the military, she died. Yep. And to the party, she lived. She lives. Right. And and in in another um roundabout way, through Mike's stories, she lives. She will live. Regardless if she lived or died in reality. Yeah. Right. Her story lives on through Mike, which gives her life, which is powerful in a way. Right. Um but yeah, uh, I agree. I like the I am a big fan of the type of stories that end with a ditchy don't she. Yeah. You know, uh, where it could go either way. I think that that's more um fun. It's more creative. Um I was gonna say some heinous shit about uh because cause Yeti said that like you have two camps of people. You have the people that want the clear ending, and you have the people that want the uh that appreciate like a a not clear ending.
SPEAKER_01:So in a lame in a lame man's terms, those that want to be spoon-fed and those that know how to handle the spoon themselves. Yeah, yeah.
SPEAKER_05:Yeah, who's gonna be even crazier and be like, you have smooth-brained people and you have wrinkly brain people? Damn.
SPEAKER_01:Yeah, the smooth punch is a lot better. It's a softer punch. That's a jab.
SPEAKER_03:I mean, you can go either way. There's no we're not saying there's anything wrong being smooth.
SPEAKER_00:I'm saying that's a joke.
SPEAKER_01:That wasn't punching down, that was elbow off the top rope. All the way to the mat.
SPEAKER_11:You know what? I'm doing that shit. You getting it off. That is crazy fucking work. Oh my god.
SPEAKER_01:No, but but I I here here's why it honestly was, but here's why I appreciate storytelling like that. It's because it does create conversation, right? Like it does open open the door for people to continue to to talk about the story and you know, almost kind of leave you wanting more, right? But but knowing that you're not getting more of that main continuity. Let's let's put it that way. Main continuity, you're not gonna get anything afterward unless they decide to do so. Because the way they ended it with um Holly and her group of new group of friends, um all in the basement, that's essentially like setting it up for a new generation, right? It's like it's like Avengers passing on to young Avengers, right?
SPEAKER_03:New Avengers.
SPEAKER_01:So, so and that's where it's awesome because it's like Holly knows about Eleven and all everything that went down. So it's not just Mike that can carry on the story, Holly can also carry on the story and say, Yeah, I remember Eleven, I remember the stuff she did, and her name will you know forever live on through you know DD matches or what have you. So I I think if they do decide one day, which I don't I don't know, it that's all gonna be up in the air. Uh, if they do decide to continue that story afterward, I don't I don't think they would. I don't I I don't I don't see a reason to to do that, right?
SPEAKER_05:They they could do like some boroto shit where they give us like Holly's party through the 90s, but I'd be mad as fuck. Yeah, did you like like do you go go ahead? I would actually be mad.
SPEAKER_03:Because here's a no no no for real though, like what story are you gonna share? Because if not, it's gonna like mirror it, it would have to mirror to some degree what was already told.
SPEAKER_01:Yeah, you're you're almost gonna tell the same exact story twice unless you do something, unless you do something totally outlandish out there in the field that that that's Well, I mean they could play on that well, I guess the military lost a lot of their research in the upside.
SPEAKER_05:They did. Yes, they did. They probably have they probably still have stuff in the in IRL.
SPEAKER_01:Uh yeah, I'm I'm I'm sure they do.
SPEAKER_05:Um, especially with um I don't want to play with that part of the story, but if they wanted to beat a dead horse, they could. I mean, that's what I would think they would do.
SPEAKER_03:They would do if they were like, hey, in the 90s it happened again. I just thought they were gonna thought it was over and is back.
SPEAKER_01:I just hope the Duffer brothers are smarter than that. And they don't is that not Jason 24 or Freddie Kruger 19? Jason X. No, but no, to watch though, the uh the follow-up, like the the I'm sorry, was it the Jason X comment?
SPEAKER_00:Listen, they already went to space, right? They already went to space. That's what it bro.
SPEAKER_05:I don't even hate it either.
SPEAKER_11:No, it was like they did it in a good way.
SPEAKER_01:They did it, they did it in a in a good way, for me at least. But it is interesting. I didn't finish it, but watching the uh documentary afterward, um, after after they put everything out. Um, there were some things that did stick out that were interesting because they did start filming before the final uh uh series was written. So I don't know exactly how they pulled that off. I don't know if they just had an idea of where they wanted to go. Because here's the thing as somebody that loves writing, loves storytelling, all that kind of stuff, uh uh like I'm gonna use our uh manga, for example, Grizz. Like, I have an idea of where the story's gonna go, right? Like, I have an idea of how that story is gonna continue on, and I can I can tell you right now, without it being on paper, exactly where we're going with it. I can tell you exactly what's gonna happen, where the characters are gonna go, where they might wind up. I don't need to have it on paper, it's all up here. So is that what happened? Maybe. But some people yeah, some people are looking at it as they were unprepared. They probably they probably I don't I don't think so either, but but for those for the show completely written before they went to Netflix. Probably.
SPEAKER_05:Probably. Uh maybe not like you're saying, like maybe not all written on paper, right? But like up here up here they knew where they wanted to go with it. They knew exactly where they were going. They knew they knew that they knew from the beginning that Will was gonna have powers. Yep. You know what I'm saying? Like that that Vecna needed all them kids to move a planet. Like they knew all that shit.
SPEAKER_01:Yeah.
SPEAKER_05:They were taking five seasons to explain it.
SPEAKER_01:Yeah. No, I no, absolutely. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Absolutely. The the the the shitty part was COVID affected everything, and and the kids wind up getting super old for their parts. So it's like, yeah, could it had a different feel if they were like more age, like, you know what I mean, to their counterparts? Like they they felt like they were more there, like more fitting of the character. Like, like, did it kind of with them being older, did it kind of take you out of the immersion that these kids have are like in over their heads?
SPEAKER_05:No, so I see the question you're asking, and I think it's valid. Um but we've experienced this once before with Harry Potter. We watched we watched kids grow up on screen once before, and that would that was a little different because like the book series wasn't completed by the time filming started, you know? Like she was still writing um she who should not be named.
SPEAKER_00:For reasons, yeah, for reasons. Um that's funny. Oh Mighty is the sword.
SPEAKER_05:Oh, how the tables have turned. Yeah, yeah. Um but uh god damn it, that was great. That was um but uh you know that that series gets dark as fuck. Yes, it does. And and I think it works because like the the actors have grown up and they're older by the time you get to the the sixth book, you know?
SPEAKER_02:Right.
SPEAKER_05:So I think that if they had found a way to spit out five seasons and tell this story while those while the kids were still kids, it would have felt like they were in over their head. You know, like going to that fucking other planet and fighting a giant monster, and they're like supposed to be what, like 13, 14? Yeah, somewhere around there. They're supposed to be these kids in high school. Right, right. And I I appreciate that they're like seniors in high school because like that is something the youngest kids of the of the show being seniors in high school, so they should be 17 to 18. Somewhere around there, you know, depending depending on when they started preschool, whatever, blah blah blah blah. And then like the the college-aged kids and then the adults, like that that felt more realistic. Yes. I could see you know, some like Goonies type shit where like they're they're they're not too young and they're seeing they're young enough that it's like shocking, but they're old enough that they can palette it. Right. And so I think it worked they they made it work.
SPEAKER_01:I I I think I think so too. Like I don't I didn't feel myself like saying, Oh my god, like you know what I mean. Granted, they did have to kind of write in the time skip because of the fact that they had to wait so long to start filming uh that last season. So um that that in itself is kind of it's tricky anyway, because now you gotta you gotta be real careful um with how you with how you tell the story from then on.
SPEAKER_05:Because not you know, there's there's now people are paying attention to the the right timeline.
SPEAKER_01:Correct. Because now you now now I mean whenever you do a time skip, there's inevitably, if you ask me, there's inevitably going to be holes in your story because there's there's stuff that we missed and did not see on screen that you now have to explain for us to catch up on how they got here and why they're thinking the way they're thinking now and all that kind of stuff.
SPEAKER_05:And I feel like Which is what I think like uh sorry, I didn't mean to interrupt. No, you're good, you're good, good. That's what like montages are good for. Yes. To like catch us up.
SPEAKER_01:Yes, yes. And and is it something that they I feel like they did a did a decent enough job to where like you know, we didn't need an in-depth like study on what they what these kids have been up to. It's like we got like especially like we see that Hawkins has been completely affected by everything that Vecna did at the end of season four. We see that. Like you they did a good job showing that to where they don't have to tell us what happened. You know what I'm you know what I'm saying?
SPEAKER_05:So that's that's true. Yeah, yeah. Show not tell.
SPEAKER_01:Yeah, show me, don't tell me, right? Because at that point, again, you're I I feel like you're gonna need more than eight episodes at that point to fill in the gaps, right? Because there's a little d depending on how big the time skip is, there's a lot that you gotta cover for your audience. And if your audience isn't fully caught up, guess what they're gonna start saying? They're gonna start saying, Oh, well, what happened here? They're gonna start noticing your plot holes, is what's gonna happen. And that's why I say it gets tricky when you do a time skip, but I feel like they did it well enough to where that that last series finale when they're like, Oh, we uh we didn't have it written down, it wasn't totally uh finished, but we started filming anyway. Okay, if you're on a hot streak and you're rolling and you're Like, okay, this is how we're gonna end it. We're gonna get to this fight. Is it written down? Not yet, but just get just give us like a day or two and we will have it for you. I promise you, because we know exactly where we're going with it. Um, hey, it is what it is, and then of course there was the uh uh uh comment that they made that they had uh AI open, like chat GPT or whatever it was. Now that did they people obviously are asking, did they use it to write the series finale? I don't know. I wasn't part of that team, you know what I mean? But if they're using it to make sure that they're not I don't know. I don't know what you would use that for. I don't know if you would try to try to just use it to maybe contrast from other stories that were told and try not to I don't know. I I I don't know. This is just me brainstorming at this point and being a conspiracy theorist, because the one of the big theories I want to get into, it which cause we you know we're kind of getting a little off topic, but one of the big theories I want to get into is Conformity Gate. Did anybody hear about that? Anybody hear about that? No? Nobody?
SPEAKER_05:Nobody was this the like mystery ninth episode or something?
SPEAKER_01:Yes, where people were saying that the ending of season eight didn't actually happen because things were a little off. What they were saying was the ending we seen for episode eight was Vecna's vision for everybody, like the audience was captured, right? And and and we're all now part of Vecna's whole thing, and we're gonna get an episode nine to show our our our team, our heroes escaping from it all and actually taking Vecna down for real this time. So that came and went, no episode nine.
SPEAKER_05:Yeah, I mean, if they were gonna do it, there would have been an episode nine by now, I think. Right. I I'm glad that that didn't happen because that would have cheapened what we watched. Yes. Because, like, if you if okay, if let's play with this for a minute. Uh if if they seriously considered doing that, and the way episode eight played out, seven and eight played out, and then they do an episode that just completely resets all of that, and it's like, sorry, that was all that was best case scenario. Here's what really happened. Yeah, and then like and then they just like kill everybody and Vecna wins. Because that's the only way you do that, yeah, without being a bitch about it. Because like just like just tell the story, be confident in it. Because if you're gonna change anything, I'm just gonna be mad now for sure. Right. I do think that more people maybe should have died, but I understand the what I think the reason was why they didn't. Is like you know, the I think whether it was conscious or subconscious, keeping the main party alive and letting L be the uh sacrificial lamb made the most sense because the core party already existed and L was adopted in. Yes, right, yes, and then for her to be the shield to protect her uh family makes sense. Yeah. So it it like if more people died, then it would have like I don't know. I feel like I would have been more upset. No, that's the thing. Although I think a better story maybe would have had more death. For sure. I think like for the integrity of what they were trying to do, I think her saving everyone made the most sense.
SPEAKER_01:Okay.
SPEAKER_03:To be fair, when you when you add more deaths to a show, especially if you do it at the end, like like you're suggesting, you're going for more of the oh shit factor, in my opinion. Yeah, and I then I think that shock factor. Yeah, and it becomes at a certain point, it becomes tacky.
SPEAKER_05:Right. It cheapens the the uh overall story, I think. Right what what that says to me is hey, this story is ending, and I'm gonna prove to you it's ending. Right. I'm gonna kill cast. Yeah, I'm gonna kill some of the people, right? Yeah, remember everybody used to eyes and he's in a room by himself and he's just like telling a story by to himself, yeah.
SPEAKER_11:Yeah, back now.
SPEAKER_03:To be honest with you, you know who who took the show, in my opinion, and I wish I could remember his name because when I describe him, it's not gonna be fair. Um what? No, I'm gonna change the way I describe him. It's the little kid with the glasses, dipshit Derek. Dipshit Derek, yeah, or delightful Derek.
SPEAKER_09:Depending on what we're going with.
SPEAKER_05:We need Dipshit Derek.
SPEAKER_01:We need Dipshit Derek, because that's who we need.
SPEAKER_03:I mean, he hit his role out of the park. Every time he touched the screen, I was either laughing or fucking, oh my god, did he just do that? Like, like bravo to him. Yeah, yeah. Bravo to him. Yeah, he crushed it.
SPEAKER_01:He he most certainly did, but uh, and that's and that's why it's like would it be interesting to see a continuation with Holly and her new party? Sure. But you gotta reason it.
SPEAKER_00:Yeah, you you gotta short.
SPEAKER_09:Yeah, you could do a little short. You could, you could, um or anime route.
SPEAKER_03:Yeah, yeah, yeah. Kind of like what you're doing with Tales from 85. To be fair, Tales from 85 is nowhere gonna be as popular as a stranger thing as the chef.
SPEAKER_05:I think it will be with the core audience that actually like you know, because I'll watch it. I'll watch it too. Emily will watch it too.
SPEAKER_03:Yeah, I mean though it's a card.
SPEAKER_05:Where like it just ripped through everyone's fucking zeitgeist.
SPEAKER_00:Yep.
SPEAKER_05:And like there's people that have never even seen other shows from who made Game of Thrones? What what network?
SPEAKER_11:Uh HBO HBO, yeah.
SPEAKER_05:Yeah, there's people that probably aren't even like privy to HBO, but Game of Thrones came through and they were like, I'm gonna watch this because everyone's watching it, because it's the thing to do. Yeah, because that is like a very real thing that happens to us. So if you say you don't crumble under peer pressure, you're a lie.
SPEAKER_01:Yeah, no shit. You're right. You're right. Hey, I can say that I don't crumble under peer pressure because I have still not watched a single episode of The Walking Dead. So, with that being said, my flag has been stuck on this hill that I'm not gonna watch a single episode. I'm just kidding. Maybe one day. Um, but with that being said, let's let's let's let's wrap this up because I know we are coming close to time. Um Stranger Things took up a big chunk of our lives, and the way they ended it, I think, is what we needed. Because one of the Duffer brothers did say that L needed to die in order for our our group of hero heroes to grow up. And and I like that. I like that because they were holding on to the wonderment of what their childhood was, all that kind of stuff, because they had a friend that had these otherworldly powers. So she needed to go, she was the catalyst for them to grow up and move on to the next part of their life. I love that. For me, I love that. Because that that to that to me is like, you know what I mean? Like that that gives her character meaning, and that death now means something rather than just being a random death that's like, ooh, shock factor. Was it shocking? Absolutely, because I'm thinking, you know, Elle's gonna go home and and her and hop are gonna hang out and just eat toaster waffles, you know, and I think for the rest of for the rest of their lives. But we we actually had a death that meant something, and you know, it yeah, it sucked, but there you go. That's the that's the period or exclamation point to the end of their story, and I appreciated that. Um Am I excited for the new stuff? Absolutely. Um I I I will I will absolutely probably read the book of Nancy Wheeler, um, and I'm definitely gonna watch the animated series once that once that comes out. But with that being said, Stranger Things was a trip, it was an experience. If you have not been able to uh check out Stranger Things and you followed us on this story, listen, we told you there were a lot of spoilers. Okay, we weren't gonna do spoiler free because it's it's been a month now.
SPEAKER_03:That's 30 days. You're passed to at that point.
SPEAKER_01:Yeah, yeah, that's longer than a lot of free sub free trial subscriptions, okay? So it's like get get to Netflix, get to watching if you haven't watched it yet. Um and and let us know what you think. You know, hit us up in the in the comments if uh if you appreciated the show. Um, and if you would want more, if you feel like there needs to be more. Uh, would you like to watch or follow the new stuff that's supposed to fill in some of the holes in between the sea seasons? I think that's gonna be cool. I think that's gonna be really nice for them to fill in some gaps as they go in an animated series and in book form. I'll be cool with that. Like, not an issue. But with that being said, I think it's high time that Grizz asks the tough questions.
SPEAKER_05:So I have two high thoughts now. Okay. And I'm gonna should I tell them both? Or we'll stick with one. We'll stick with one for for for time reasons. Then here's what I'll do. The one that I had from earlier, I'll save for next time.
SPEAKER_01:Okay.
SPEAKER_05:And it it ties it ties this episode in together. Perfect.
SPEAKER_01:I swear to god, if you say anything about nice cap, I'm going to fly to Seattle. He is, look at him. I'm gonna snatch that beard.
SPEAKER_05:Listen, stall. What I was wondering is when when it's like breakfast time and you really, really want that sugary drink, is it okay to ask your mom for an ice cap?
SPEAKER_02:Hey, hold on, hold on, hold on. Do you want to you want what you want a live answer? Yes. Yes, yes, I do.
SPEAKER_05:Okay, hold on.
SPEAKER_11:I just I it's been eating at me for the last two hours. This stupid ass Oh, are you are you Hey mom?
SPEAKER_03:I was wondering, can I have a sugary drink? I'm so fucking dead. Because you're my mom and I want a sugary drink. Can I have a sugary drink? Like I want an ice cap. Ice cappuccino. I want a sugary drink. Can I have one? Is it a simple yes or no? Can you say that again? Okay. Thank you.
SPEAKER_01:Oh my god. Okay. So what was her answer? What was her answer? Yes. Oh, she didn't hear it. No, it didn't. Yeah, I didn't pick up. So she said yes. Okay, so so to answer your question, Grizz, sure. Ask your mom. Ask your mom for a sugary drink. Okay, anyway.
SPEAKER_00:Listen. Yes.
SPEAKER_01:Why are you asking me?
SPEAKER_00:Grown-ass man.
SPEAKER_05:That is gonna call her about it.
SPEAKER_01:Listen, that's the that's the appropriate response. Any mother should give their child, grown-ass child, if they ask for a sugary drink. You want what? I don't give a fuck. I don't give a fuck. Go get anyway. Who wants some fun in games? Let's do it. Okay. Here's what I need you to do. You must commit a serious crime in front of one of these four characters. Who do you choose and why? You ready? Here are your options. One, Moon Knight. Two, Judge Dread. Three, Batman, or four, the Punisher. What was the initial question? Sorry. You must commit a serious crime in front of one of these four characters. Who do you choose and why? Moon Knight, Judge Dredd, Batman, or the Punisher. A one serious crime. You have to commit it in front of one of them. Who's it gonna be and why?
SPEAKER_09:Batman.
SPEAKER_01:Okay. Why Batman? Because he'll let me live. Got it. I mean, if that's what you want to if that if that's what you want to call it, because like listen, listen. You didn't do overkill. You didn't do overkill. Excuse me? Have you not seen if you if you have not seen a Batman animated series or played a Batman game, he listen. If you want to call like, I'm jaywalking, and then all of a sudden he drops on you and then shoves your head through a window and then tosses you up against a brick wall for justice and breaks three to four hundred bones in your body and you are just left bedridden. That's not living. That's surviving.
SPEAKER_03:If you comply, he's like, cool, here they are.
SPEAKER_01:And he fucking tied you up. No, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. You want to know why you're complying? Because he already done broke like seven metacarpals, right? And you're like, I don't know what to do. I'm hurting. He done slammed your head against the wall, right? Right? He he he probably broke a foot somewhere just because he can. Yes. Yes, he is. Someone who complies? No, because here's the thing Batman strikes fear into people. He doesn't he doesn't just walk up to you and say, Are you gonna comply? No, he jumps out of the shadows, full body weight, on top of you, and then you're like, and then he's like, comply. Yeah, I'm complying at that point. Who? Judge Dredd, he asked you. Yeah, yeah. I mean, I mean, you are right, because he is the law. He is the law. But I don't know, Judge Dredd then.
SPEAKER_03:But it has to be a serious crime. Okay, well, fucking stealing a tire is a serious crime. To who? The persons you're stealing the tire from.
SPEAKER_11:How many years are you getting for stealing a tire? You have to do a crime that that is gonna get you multiple years. Mr.
SPEAKER_05:Tread. Mr. Tread, I was just trying to get a tire for my swings, huh? I don't understand.
SPEAKER_01:What do you mean? A serious crime. You have to commit a serious crime. So a serious crime would be like would be like murder. No, no, the petty petty theft. It's in the name petty. That's not a serious crime. I'm deceived. What do you mean? That's not a serious crime. If the name of the crime is petty theft, that's not serious.
SPEAKER_05:Why so seriously?
SPEAKER_01:It was just a tiger. Right, it was just a tiger. I don't know what you want from me.
SPEAKER_02:I don't know what you want from me.
SPEAKER_01:Yeah, we're starting off strong. So anyway, uh, Brizz, who would you who would you commit a serious crime in front of?
SPEAKER_05:You know what? For the for the lolz, for the laughing out loud, probably, probably my boy Moon Knight. Let's go. It's like he's gonna be fucking schizo about it and then tie me up like that. Exactly.
SPEAKER_01:You're both dead. No, I want to I want to know which personality I'm getting.
SPEAKER_05:Yeah, yeah. He's probably gonna tie me up with his bandages, and it's gonna be a thing. Yep. Yeah, we can just have some kiki time.
SPEAKER_01:I may or may not get to see Kanchu. Who knows? Like he might show up, you know what I'm saying? Yeah. Shit's gonna get weird. Exactly. And and I'll be like, haha, joke's on you.
SPEAKER_11:I'm into this. You know you're instantaneously dead.
SPEAKER_05:Yeah, exactly. But you're not gonna suffer. No, you're right. It's quick.
SPEAKER_01:Quick way out, the punisher, immediately. I would say the punisher and then judge dread if you're looking for a quick way out. That's like yes!
SPEAKER_00:What?
SPEAKER_01:Yes! A serious crime. Once again, not petty theft. We're not talking petty theft. Not no tire. Not no tire.
SPEAKER_11:Did we watch the same movie? Which one are you? Which judge dread are you talking about? The newer one or Judge Drew? The newest Judge Dredd, the one that is lore accurate Judge Dredd. Yes. I'm basing off of Sylvester Salome.
SPEAKER_01:No, no, because Judge Dredd did not talk to people. Judge Dredd was the law. And if you commit a serious crime and it is against the law, Judge Dredd is taking you out, brother. Like you're not you're not coming back from it. You're not coming back from it. Listen, if you listen, listen, if you want Judge Dredd, have at it. Batman would be a good option because, like you said, you do you do survive. The problem is it's surviving after that.
SPEAKER_00:Uncle Tossy, hi.
SPEAKER_09:Yeah. Hi. Okay.
SPEAKER_01:Alright, so anyway, I think we got a pretty good idea on who everybody would pick. Um Moon Knight. Yeah, Moon Knight would be the funniest, though. Moon Knight would be the absolute like that's like trolling almost.
SPEAKER_05:Yeah, right.
SPEAKER_00:I'm on six rounds.
SPEAKER_01:That's crazy. Who'd you beat?
SPEAKER_00:Uh I beat everybody upstairs.
SPEAKER_01:Dang, okay. So he uh my my nephew informed me he is the Uno champion of of the house. He's beaten. He's on a six-win streak right now, so there you go.
SPEAKER_05:Oh my god. Um there you go, nice.
SPEAKER_01:Yeah, so be careful out there, those of you that love Uno. We have the Uno champion right now.
SPEAKER_05:We have a sniper now.
SPEAKER_01:We gotta snipe up. We gotta snipe up. Okay, um, with that, uh, who wants a fun fact? So we can tie this up real quick. Lay it out. Hang on, let me uh let me pull let me pull this out. Um Did you know Y'all ready for this? That it is surprisingly easy to escape quicksand. Even he is shocked. It is surprisingly easy to escape quicksand. So for generations of kids raised on Scooby-Doo and Looney Tunes, Quicksand was a dangerous was a danger that seemed to lurk around every corner. One false step, and you can meet a slow and suffocating demise. Turns out your chances of being swallowed by a bottomless uh beach pit are slim to none. But quicksand is a real phenomenon and not one to take lightly. Throughout the UK on beaches, riverbanks, and marshlands, quicksand forms when sand or clay becomes waterlogged and loses its structure. In saturated sand, friction between the grains plunges. Agitate that sand by walking on it, and the grains will slip past one another, and the surface beneath your feet will liquefy and collapse. But, unlike in the cartoon terrors of yesteryear, you won't be sucked down to your death. Research published in the journal Nature in 2005 showed that quicksand's density is higher than that of a human body. The torso is especially buoyant because of the lungs, so people rarely sink below waist level. The true danger lies in the secondary risks. Quicksand is often found in tidal areas where rising waters can swiftly engulf and drown someone stuck in its grip. Even in non-tidal areas, excuse me, a trapped person could trace g uh uh could face hypothermia, dehydration, and exhaustion if help doesn't arrive quickly. Each year, dozens of people get stuck in UK quicksands and need to be rescued. In 2017, four holiday makers were saved from a tide with minutes to spare after they were trapped by quicksand in uh uh Moor Moorcambi Bay, I think I'm murdering that name by the way. Uh the bay is the UK's largest expanse of intertidal sands and mud flats, and is notorious for its quicksand and fast tides, which can rush in faster than a person can run. The best way to stay safe around quicksand is to avoid it. Stick to marked paths and don't venture into unknown terra terrain alone. If you do plan exploring near known risk spot risk spots, check the local tides, tell someone where you're going, and bring a charged mobile phone, obviously. If you come if you come a cropper, it's important to stop others from trying to help you, or they could get stuck too. If you have a phone, dial, I guess 911, and ask for the Coast Guard and use the uh what three words app to give them your location. Anyway, um it's actually surprisingly easy to escape quicksand. Essentially, you you just kind of want to like if I remember correctly, Mythbusters did it to where you sink down halfway and then you just kinda like you kind of like flatten yourself out and spread some spread some of that weight out, and then you can kind of pull yourself out of the quicksand, which is you know really nice.
SPEAKER_04:Hey buddy, give me a minute.
SPEAKER_01:Um so yeah, it's actually very surprisingly easy to escape quicksand. Um Does anybody remember like feeling like quicksand was gonna be a bigger problem than it actually is?
SPEAKER_05:Oh, a hundred percent. Like Yeah, I mean I was made to believe that like that's auto kill.
SPEAKER_01:Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. Stop, drop, and roll. Like, how many of us show of hands has been caught on fire? Nobody?
SPEAKER_05:Zero.
SPEAKER_01:Nobody? Surprising.
SPEAKER_05:That shot. Hold on, hold on. Uh-huh. I have I have got my mustache a little a little on fire when smoking a joint.
SPEAKER_01:Okay, that's that doesn't count.
SPEAKER_05:Yeah, that doesn't count because that's not full body, that's not full body engulfed in flames. Like we got. It was more like it was more like I I flicked the lighter and then I was like, oh shit.
SPEAKER_01:Yeah, he was like, oh, oh damn. And then it was quickly doused, right? Like he quickly smothered that flame. But nobody has actually been fully engulfed in flames where they actually have to stop, drop, and roll, right? Like I don't think so. Like, like that didn't happen as often as they they led us to believe that like quicksand and catching on fire were the two things you were absolutely and and drugs. Remember, remember the Dare program when they were like, everybody you meet on the corner is gonna be like, You want some cocaine? I've not had one person approach me and ask if I want to do crack. I feel left out. Yeah, it's crazy. In the wild, you're like, hey, hey, buddy. Right. You want some crack? No. I like I have not been able to like you know invoke my dare training on second thought.
SPEAKER_05:What mostly gets asked is, hey, can I have some money so I can go get cracked?
unknown:Right.
SPEAKER_01:Selfish bastards. Anyway. Assholes. Yeah, no shit. So there you have it. There's your fun fact. Um, please steer clear of uh quicksand. If you do fall in, um, don't panic. Don't panic. Uh, and just try not to drown, I guess. Because apparently it's mostly beaches. So don't drown. Turn around. Um, definitely don't drown. Yeah, yeah. Uh so real quick, uh, I I like I said I want to do better at this, but it is our first episode, and it is the end of the month. So does anybody want the uh top listening areas for the month?
