Welcome
back
to
the
podcast,
everyone.
This
has
been
a
stretch
for
me.
I
think
I've
taken
over
a
year
off
to
rebrand
this
podcast.
Now,
I'm
always
going
to
be
here
for
my
older
guys,
but
now
I
want
to
bring
younger
men
into
the
fold
and
even
some
of
my
female
listeners,
because
I
believe
the
information
I'm
giving
can
benefit
all
walks
of
life.
But
I'm
still
an
older
gentleman
who
will
be
talking
about
positive
mindsets,
fitness,
holistic
nutrition,
and
martial
arts,
which
is
one
of
my
favorite
things.
With
that
being
said,
I
just
finished
my
doctorate
in
holistic
nutrition,
so
I
will
definitely
be
giving
a
lot
of
that
information
out.
If
you've
been
following
me
for
a
while,
first,
thank
you.
And
second,
you
noticed
I
went
quiet
for
a
bit.
No
explanation,
just
quiet.
And
I
want
to
talk
about
that
today
because
the
reason
I
stepped
away
is
actually
the
same
reason
I'm
back.
And
it
ties
directly
into
everything
I
talk
about
on
this
podcast.
Knowing
when
to
push,
knowing
when
to
pause,
and
having
the
self-awareness
to
tell
the
difference.
Stepping
back
wasn't
a
retreat,
it
was
a
recalibration
for
me.
And
I
think
that's
a
conversation
worth
having
with
you
guys.
You
see,
I've
spent
over
40
years
studying
the
body,
the
mind,
and
human
behavior.
And
one
of
the
truest
things
I
know
is
this
you
cannot
pour
from
an
empty
cup.
That's
not
a
bumper
sticker,
that's
biology,
that's
psychology,
that's
just
the
damn
truth.
I
reached
a
point
where
I
knew
the
podcast
needed
more
than
I
was
giving
it.
Not
because
I
ran
out
of
things
to
say.
Trust
me,
that's
not
my
problem.
Because
I
wanted
what
I
bring
to
you
to
be
sharp
and
refined.
I
wanted
to
be
worth
your
time.
Here,
check
this
out.
In
psychoanalytic
work,
we
talk
about
the
importance
of
stepping
back
to
gain
perspective,
of
creating
space
so
that
what
comes
next
has
real
depth
and
intention
behind
it.
I
applied
that
same
principle
to
this
podcast.
I
wasn't
abandoning
it,
I
was
respecting
it
enough
to
make
it
better.
And
here's
what
I
want
every
man
and
every
woman
listening
to
take
from
that.
Pausing
is
not
quitting.
Sometimes
the
most
disciplined
thing
you
can
do
is
recognize
when
something
needs
to
be
rebuilt
before
it
moves
forward.
That
takes
more
courage
than
just
grinding
through.
Some
of
you
are
like,
so
what
did
you
do
with
that
time?
Well,
believe
me,
I
did
a
little
bit
of
sulking.
I'm
human.
I
did
a
little
bit
of,
can
I
be
even
better?
And
when
I
come
back,
will
they
even
want
to
listen
to
me?
But
here,
let
me
break
it
down.
So
what
I
did
do
with
that
time,
I
went
back
to
work
on
myself,
on
my
vision,
I
reassessed
who
I
was
talking
to
and
what
I
was
really
trying
to
say.
Because
here's
the
truth.
While
my
work
has
always
centered
around
men
over
50,
I
kept
having
conversations
in
my
practice,
in
my
personal
life,
and
in
the
gym
with
younger
men
and
women,
with
people
at
all
different
stages
who
were
wrestling
with
the
same
fundamental
questions.
How
do
I
build
a
body
that
lasts?
How
do
I
develop
a
mindset
that
doesn't
crack
under
pressure?
I
widened
the
lens.
Same
core
values,
psychoanalytic
depth,
holistic
nutrition,
fitness,
positive
mindset,
but
it's
now
a
bigger
table.
More
seats,
everyone's
welcome
here.
So
you're
wondering,
so
what's
to
come?
Well,
here's
what
you
can
expect
going
forward.
We're
going
to
talk
about
the
mind,
not
surface
level
pop
psychology,
but
real
depth.
How
your
past
can
or
has
shaped
your
present,
how
unresolved
patterns
show
up
in
your
body,
your
relationships,
your
habits,
how
awareness
is
the
first
step
to
real
change.
We're
going
to
talk
about
the
body,
what
the
research
actually
says
about
training,
nutrition,
longevity.
No
fads,
no
magic
supplements,
no
shortcuts,
just
honest,
evidence-based
information
from
someone
who's
been
in
it
for
four
decades.
We're
going
to
talk
about
mindset
because
I
genuinely
believe
that
how
you
think
is
the
engine
behind
everything
else.
Your
body
follows
your
mind.
Your
relationships
reflect
your
inner
world.
Get
the
mindset
right
and
everything
else
starts
to
move.
And
we're
going
to
do
all
of
it
with
honesty,
with
some
humor,
and
with
the
understanding
that
none
of
us
have
it
completely
figured
out,
including
me.
That's
not
a
weakness,
guys.
That's
what
keeps
us
growing.
The
tagline
of
this
podcast
has
always
been
heal
the
mind,
build
the
body.
That
hasn't
changed.
If
anything,
it
means
more
to
me
now
than
it
ever
has.
Now
hear
me
and
hear
me
loud.
This
applies
to
you
if
you're
21
or
71.
Is
there
something
in
your
life
right
now
that
needs
a
pause
more
than
a
push?
A
relationship,
a
business,
a
habit,
a
version
of
yourself
you've
been
dragging
along
out
of
stubbornness
rather
than
purpose.
Stepping
back
with
intention
is
not
a
lack
of
control.
It's
strategy,
it's
wisdom.
It's
what
separates
people
who
burn
out
from
the
people
who
build
something
that
lasts.
Take
the
pause
if
you
need
it.
Come
back
stronger.
That's
the
move.
All
right,
everybody.
This
is
the
first
podcast
back,
a
little
shorter
than
usual.
Thanks
for
spending
time
with
me
today,
and
thanks
for
being
here
for
this
new
chapter.
Now
go
do
something
with
what
you
heard
because
information
without
action
is
just
no
boys.
So
heal
the
mind,
build
a
body.
Until
next
time,
peace
and
strength.
Robinson's
theory.
Out.
