#112: Michael Mader and Sam Harper- Hippy Feet
Dec 14, 2020 Season 1 Episode 112
Alex Morrall

Sam Harper is one of the founders of Hippy Feet — a Minneapolis-based sock and apparel company on a mission to provide jobs to homeless youth. Sam launched Hippy Feet in 2016 alongside co-founder, Michael Mader. Previously, Harper has held leadership positions across a number of technology organizations and high growth startups.

Michael Mader first came up with the idea for Hippy Feet when he suffered a traumatic brain injury as a senior in college. He realized that without having a support system, homelessness would have been a real possibility. Hippy Feet was created to provide this support system to those who didn't have one.

Today, Hippy Feet has provided transitional employment opportunities to over 130 young people affected by homelessness.
